(At Fion’s place) (Near midnight) (Lik Hang calls the pager centre)
PAGER CENTRE: Who is this calling Fion?
LIK HANG: Lik Hang… Tell her I have already returned… Waiting for her…
PAGER CENTRE: We will notify the subscriber ASAP.
(After calling Fion for more than 10 times)
LIK HANG: (getting impatient) have you called her for me actually?
PAGER CENTRE: Sure, sir. I’ve conveyed your message, which is saying sorry and asking her to call you.
LIK HANG: Ok, ok, continue to call her for me… (Hangs up) (Talks to himself) What is wrong with her? Where has she gone? Ridiculous! She doesn’t know I am worried about her… (Suddenly a thought strikes him) Oh yes, I should call Zoe… (calls Zoe) Zoe? Lik Hang here.
ZOE: What’s the matter? Why are you calling me?
LIK HANG: Did Fion look for you?

LIK HANG: (suddenly spots Fion) Fion? (walks towards her) So you are here.
FION: (a bit nervous) How did you know I was here? It’s such a coincidence. Let me introduce, (to Jerry) this is Lik Hang.
LIK HANG: (shakes hand with Jerry) Hi, nice to meet you.
FION: (to Lik Hang) This is Jerry.
JERRY: Oh, yes… I’m Zoe’s boyfriend. How do you do?
LIK HANG: Wow, Zoe surely has good taste.
ZOE: (smiles in a silly manner) Don’t laugh at me la…
JERRY: (to Zoe) Zoe, don’t be a spoilsport here, let’s go to Tom’s bar…
LIK HANG: It’s ok with me…
JERRY: (smiles) No, actually I don’t want you two to disturb us.
LIK HANG: You surely know how to joke. Ok, see you around.
JERRY: (steals a glance at Fion) Ok. (walks away with Zoe)
LIK HANG: (speaks slowly and in an apologetic tone) Emmm, Fion… I’m sorry… it’s my fault…
FION: Actually a ‘sorry’ can’t make up everything.
LIK HANG: Tell you what. I’ll spend more time accompanying you, ok?
FION: Are you trying to make it up with me?
LIK HANG: It should be possible, right? (pleads) I can’t live without you. Just now when I was waiting for your call, I especially realized how important you are to me. I’ve thought it through. Work is important, but I shouldn’t neglect your feelings too…
FION: I hope this isn’t a temporary remark.
LIK HANG: You remind me lor… If there is anything which I did wrongly, just tell me and I’ll rectify it.

FION: (looks towards Jerry’s side) Let’s stay for a bit longer…
(at Jerry’s side)
JERRY: Sorry, I made you of you just now.
ZOE: Who ask me to be pals with Fion…
JERRY: Thank you lor…
ZOE: (lifts glass) Cheers.
JERRY: (lifts glass too) Cheers.
ZOE: By the way, are you really that noble? You really don’t mind Lik Hang…?
JERRY: (a bit unhappy) What can I do then? I like Fion, and from the first day I knew she got a boyfriend… Then I have to accept the fact… Now that Fion has accepted me, I’m already contented…

FION: Ok. (Stands up and leave with Lik Hang)
LIK HANG: (sees Jerry) Jerry? Only you?
FION: Where is Zoe?
JERRY: (stutters) Oh, she… she is sitting over there. I’m just back from my washroom trip. You two are going?
LIK HANG: Ya, it’s getting late. I’ve just managed to coax my Lou po zai (Canto sling – wife).
JERRY: (forces a smile) Then you must be happy la…
LIK HANG: (smiles and looks at Fion) Ya. By the way, thanks for accompanying my Lou po zai, Fion… I’ll treat you to a meal next time…
JERRY: You’re welcome. We’re friends after all.
FION: (guilty) Thanks Jerry.
JERRY: There’s no need to thank me. What is important is that you two have reconciled. Go home now la...
FION: Then you two…

JERRY: (Drunk) I think I can’t send you home. Why not I call you a taxi?
ZOE: What about you?
JERRY: (joking) I’m not a girl, no one would take advantage of me when I’m drunk. Let’s go out.

PS: Fion have reconciled with Lik Hang, but she is still thinking of Jerry, more or less... How will she choose? Will there be any more progress in their relationship? Seems like Jerry really love Fion very much, doesn't he?
