"WHAT?? Where are you now Dara?”
"I'm at the school rooftop." She sobbed.
“Okay I’m coming for you.” Chaerin said then hung up the phone.
Chaerin was worried about Dara and could not get the image of her crying pitifully out of her head. She was angry at Seunghyun for dumping Dara like that. He’s going to have a long explanation to do; Chaerin thought and clenched her fists while running all the way to the school.

Bright light shone at her face as soon as she opened the door of the rooftop. She instinctively covered her eyes with her arm, confused. She got a shock hearing loud popping sounds and felt something fell on her face and body.
“SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
When she could finally focused, she saw her friends grinning at her, their hands holding an empty party-popper, and realised that she was covered in coloured strings.
"Wh.. whattt?"
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" They all chimed together.
She did not even realize that it was her birthday!!
The rooftop looked.... different.
Her friends stepped aside to reveal the beautifully decorated rooftop.
Balloons were hung neatly, lightly swaying to the night wind. Candles were lit up neatly on the floor right in front of her, making a shape of a narrow runway for one.
Dara walked away while Seunggi and Seunghyun stood on either side of Chaerin and urged her to walk in between the candles towards a HUGE brightly lit stage with HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEE CHAERIN plastered across it. A small empty table were placed in the middle of the stage.
“Happy Birthday to you~~” Dara sang, re-appearing with a cake on her hand.
Chaerin was speechless once more. She finally realized her friends’ scheme and she started wailing, "YOU GUYS!!!!"
Dara hugged her and said cheerfully, "Happy Birthday our Chaerin-ah!! I love you!!"
"I'm a great actor right? I fooled you this afternoon!" Seunghyun chipped in.
Chaerin laughed and smacked him hard on his head, totally expecting him to avoid it like usual.
Surprisingly, he stood still and got whacked hard, “That actually hurts quite a bit,” he rubbed the back of his head, "I let you do that, for saying all those mean stuff to you! I don't mean it, really."
"Sorry Chaerin-ah. We want to make this memorable to you." Seunggi said.
"Yepp!! I actually love listening to all your stories. I mean, all those gossips and behind the scenes of all those celebrities! You know me Chaerin-ah. I was very sad when we had to ignore you! I wanted to get GD’s signature!" Dara winked at her.
"Oh my God! You're all really annoying!!" Chaerin cried loudly, and they all huddled together in a group hug.
"Let's blow the candles and cut the cake Chaerin ah!" Dara said.
After Chaerin blew the candles out, cheeky Dara pushed her head down and smashed her face onto the cake. “YAHHHHHHHHHH SANDARA!!!!!!!!!”.
And it instantly turned into a cake fight.
They were all running around trying to throw the cake to each other, laughing happily.
Soon after, they were all covered with cake. They lied down on the floor and laughed together.
"Were you sad?" Dara asked.
"Of course, I had a hard time concentrating during training today." Chaerin answered.
"Ommooo, then what did Teddy say?"
"Nothing much, there was recording today, so he didn't really bother me much."
"Recording? Whose recording?" Dara asked excitedly.
"A new singer, Park Bom, she was so pretty and funny. I like her, at least she cheered me up a bit. Are you sure you want to hear all this? Don't you find it annoying?" Chaerin glared at her friends jokingly.
Dara giggled.
"You're not going to let go of it, are you?" Seunghyun asked.
"NOPE!" Chaerin laughed.
"Chaerin-ah, you should have seen Seunggi shouting at Seunghyun this afternoon after you left." Dara said, "He scared me."
"Dara! You don't need to tell her that!" Seunggi said.
"What happened?Did you two have a fight?" Chaerin turned to Seunggi and Seunghyun and asked.
Seunggi shrugged, unwilling to go into details.
"He was scolding Seunghyun for being too harsh on you." Dara explained.
"It was harsh." Chaerin looked down glumly.
"Sorry Chaerin-ah." Seunggi apologised again.
Chaerin looked up, giggled and flashed her smile at him. He pinched her cheek.
"Man, it was the first time I'd seen Seunggi so mad." Seunghyun complained.
"Serves you right!" Chaerin stuck out her tounge at Seunghyun.
"Well, it's all over! I'm glad we're now back to normal!"
“Well, you all totally got me!” Chaerin said. “But I’m glad it was just a prank.”
Beside her, Seunggi patted her head and said, “Yeah, that will never happen.”
Dara and Seunghyun nodded in agreement. “Surprisingly it’s weird without you around.” Seunghyun murmured, everyone turned to him in surprise and laughed. He turned away and pretended not to care.
“Seunghyun-ah, you’re blushing!” Dara teased him and everyone roared into laughter again.
Everything was fine again, Chaerin sighed in relief.
