Choi Chaerin a.k.a CL
She was kidnapped when she was 10 years old, during family trip in New York. The Chois had been
looking for her for the past 8 years and only managed to track her now with the help of private investigator.
She was raised in an orphanage but noone knew how she got there. She was never adopted as she was
already too old for an adoption. She grew up in the orphanage and helped out to teach the children there.
She could not really remember her childhood memory before she got to the orphanage. She was a bright
girl with fun and outgoing personality.
CL jaw dropped looking at the house she was brought to. It was not even a house, it was a villa, no no, a
mansion, oh wait, more like a palace!
(A/N - dear readers, don't think about their communication language, just take it that she can also speak
Korean. kekeke.. this is not supposed to be logical, just enjoy the story. :D)
TOP Oppa had informed her that their parents were very wealthy, but she did not expect this. AT. ALL.
TOP Oppa also said that their mother had passed away long time ago due to grief of losing her. So their
family only consisted of their father and them.
“Oh Chaerin-ah, I hope you won’t be to shocked with our fat……” he was cut of by a man shouting and
running towards them.
“OHHH!!!!!!!!!! Our Rinrin…… Appa miss you so much.” He hugged CL, then wiped his tears with his
sleeve and blew out his nose with a handkerchief. “Appa is sorry for not coming to you earlier!!!!” he
sobbed.
CL looked at her dad in disbelief, he was so... weird? His behavior was so childlike, his emotions were out
in the open for everyone to see, he could laugh and cry like nobody’s business. She could not help watching
his every action, his animated expression amused her. She could not belief this man was her... DAD!
Understanding her, TOP whispered in her ear, “Our Appa is strange alright.” He nodded.
Mr. Choi then pulled TOP suddenly and hugged him too, “Ahh, our Hyunnie also wants Appa’s hug right?
I know I know!” he patted TOP’s head like a kid.
After he let go of TOP, he held CL’s hand and led her inside their.... eerrr... palace.
TOP rolled his eyes and just followed behind them.
Tons of people bowed at them and Mr. Choi smiled, gesturing them to raise themselves and introduced
them to CL. They were butlers, maids, cooks, drivers, gardeners and all kinds of people working in their
home. She even got her own personal maid, which she rejected. "I like being independent." she told her
dad.
She could see her dad’s eyes became teary eyed, “Ommmooo, our Rinrin is soooo awesome.” He pinched
her chubby cheeks. Chaerin stared at TOP and he just shrugged.
She got her own room which was as big as one basketball court, just that it was just............... empty.
“Your Oppa said that you might want to decorate it yourself.” Mr. Choi told her, “But if you don’t want to,
I can fix it in a flash.” He grinned at her.
CL smiled, “No, I want to do it! Thank you…… errr Appa.”
Mr. Choi sniffed, “Rinrin-ahhh, do you feel uncomfortable calling me Appa?”
Awkward and afraid to make her dad cry, she answered instantly, “No No Appa! Of course not!”
Mr. Choi straightened up in relief and hugged her again, "Meanwhile you can sleep in one of the
guestroom." He informed her.
Then his phone rang, and CL was so taken aback on how her dad’s face turned serious instantly. He
excused himself.
“Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it.” TOP patted her head softly. “Our Appa is a capable man and when it
comes to his work, he’s really serious and strict. But outside of work, well, he’s just like…… that.” He
grimaced.
When Mr. Choi came back for her, he was back to being his normal weird self.
He told her that he needed to handle his overseas business and had to fly as soon as possible. “Appa is
sorry!!!!” he wailed, “Appa really wants to spend time with Appa’s Rinrin!!!!”
“Ah, Appa it’s alright.” CL patted his arm softly, “I will still be here when Appa comes back”
Mr. Choi brightened up, “Ahhhh that’s right!!! Okay then Appa will be leaving now. Bye Rinrin. Appa will
buy you lots of presents!” He kissed her cheek and he walked over to TOP and kissed his cheek too, “Appa
will buy you presents also Hyunnie!” then walked away, waving hard at her.
CL waved back and after he was out of sight, she turned to TOP, giggling, “Appa is so funny.”
“He’s annoying.” TOP said coolly.
"By the way Oppa, can I sleep in your room instead?" she grinned at him.
TOP looked at her in surprise, "You want to sleep with Oppa?"
"Yepp," she nodded and explained, "We have not seen each other for years, Oppa. I've never had an Oppa
before, so I want to know what it feels like to have one. And I have lots of questions!"
TOP softened and patted her head affectionately, "Okay, you can sleep with me."

"Do you remember me Oppa?" CL asked him, lying on her bed (TOP had arranged to bring in a bed for CL
in his room) and looking at TOP who was reading on his own bed.
"Yes I do," he looked up from his book and replied her, "I was older than you by 3 years, so I can still
remember everything. We were real close then, you know. I hate to admit this but I cried for you often in
the past. My baby sister was suddenly gone, I was so devastated."
"I can't really remember though, Oppa." she admitted, "but I'm happy now. I used to envy the kids at the
orphanage who got adopted by loving parents. I thought I have no hope from having a family anymore."
TOP stared at his sister sadly, "I'm sorry, Chaerin-ah, Oppa made you wait for so long."
"No matter." she smiled sweetly, "At least you never give up on me. I'm glad knowing that."
"Do you want to sleep with me?" TOP asked her, softly patting his bed.
CL’s eyes brightened up, she took her fluffy pillow and jumped on his bed. Comfortable, she laid snugly
beside him, then she asked again, "But why don't we look alike, Oppa? Are you sure I'm your sister?"
TOP hit her head lightly, "You think Oppa didn't check? But even if I didn't, I still can recognize you the
instant I see you. You didn't change much you know.” Then he added, “You look like our mother."
“I can’t remember her face, Oppa.” She said glumly, “I’m so stupid, why can’t I remember anything!”
“Don’t berate yourself, Chaerin-ah, it must have been an ordeal for you,” TOP said gently. “Do you want to
see your young pictures?”
She nodded eagerly and TOP went to take out an old photo album. They looked through it together,
laughing happily, just like a real family, Chaerin smiled.
“Oppa, is that you?” she pointed of a photo of a fat young boy, and at his nod, she continued, “How did you
lose all those weight Oppa? You’re so handsome now! Are you sure you didn’t get plastic surgery??” she
teased him.
He knocked her head softly, “Do you want to die, Chaerin-ah?” then they both giggled.
“Oh! That’s me!” she exclaimed excitedly, looking at her young self, “I’m really your sister.” She smiled.
TOP shook his head and tsked her, “How many proof do you want, young miss?” she just grinned back at
him and returned back her focus on the photo album.
“Oppa, is that our Omma?” she asked him, pointing to a lady holding on to her two kids, smiling and
laughing happily in the pictures.
“Yes.” TOP replied, “She’s your exact replica, isn’t she?”
“She does look like me a bit,” CL nodded her agreement.
She continued flipping the pages, asking questions every now and then, and TOP patiently answered her.
When she was done, she gave a satisfying smile and closed the album, then she yawned, "I'm too sleepy
now, but I'm going to ask you more questions tomorrow!! Goodnight Oppa!" she covered herself with the
blanket.
He smiled at her and patter hed cheek, "Goodnight my little Chaerin." then he went back to his book while
CL fell asleep.
