The next day GD came early in the morning to fetch CL to the University, as he offered the day before.
TOP stayed overnight in the hospital and took a day off to accompany Bom.
CL had been wondering how to face GD after her vague confession last night. But looking at GD smiling at her at the entrance door, CL tried to calm herself down and be as normal as possible in front of him. After all, they were best friends first, so he had already known almost everything about her, she did not need to be different for him, she decided in an instant.
"Morning Chae." GD greeted her as he saw her descending down the stairs.
"Morning Oppa." CL smiled at him. "oh Oppa, are you free this evening?"
"What? Are you asking me for a date?" GD raised his eyebrows.
CL laughed, "Aigoo! No oppa, I was wondering if you can accompany me to fetch my friends from the airport. They are coming from America for a visit."
"Ah I see. I thought you were, you know…" GD grinned, "but sure, always ready for your service."
"Thanks Oppa." CL smiled at him.

At the airport
“C TO THE L!” shouted a lovely girl in short hair as she was pushing her trolley out from the exit gantry.
Right beside her stood a handsome man with shades covering half of his face. Even so, one could definitely see that he was an attractive man. He raised his hand to acknowledge CL when he saw her.
“Nicole! Hyunjoong-oppa!” CL ran to them and hugged them both tightly. GD followed her from behind, slightly wary from the appearance of another man, ‘please God, don’t let me have another rival.’
“Hey L,” Hyunjoong whispered beside her ear when he hugged her. “You’ve grown up well.”
“Aigoo, oppa. You sound like an Appa.” CL teased him.
“Anyway CL-ah, who’s the guy?” Nicole referred to GD and then whispered only to CL’s ear, “Your boyfriend?”
“Ahh, no no no.” CL answered in a low voice to Nicole, slightly wishing that she could just say yes to that question. “Nicole, Hyunjoong-oppa, meet GD-oppa, he’s my brother’s best friend,” CL explained, “and mine too of course.”
“Hello GD-oppa.” Nicole greeted him cheerfully.
Hyunjoong, on the other hand, slowly took off his shades and offered his right hand in front of GD.
Nicole and CL looked at Hyunjoong together. CL shook her head and whispered, “No, Oppa.” while Nicole just giggled.
GD raised his right arm to shake Hyunjoong’s hand and when their two hands were joined, GD winced slightly with pain.
Hyunjoong pretended, “Nice to meet you.” He said with a smile as he put in more energy to squeeze GD’s unsuspecting hand.
GD straightened his expression and smiled back at Hyunjoong while he also squeezed Hyunjoong’s hand in retaliation, “You too.”
The two boys stared at each other with smiles plastered on both of their faces though they emitted a scary aura around them, until CL stepped in.
“Alright. Alright.” CL broke their intense handshake.
She pulled GD to walk with her while telling her two friends to follow her from behind.
“Are you okay, Oppa?” CL asked him in a low whisper worriedly.
GD pouted, “You’re looking down on your oppa? How not-okay should I be?”
“Aigoo. That’s not what I meant, oppa.”
“I’m alright,” GD showed his right palm, “See, nothing’s wrong. But what’s that about?”
“Hyunjoong-oppa, he… he was testing you kinda.” CL explained.
“Testing me?”
“He… he always did it to any of my and Nicole’s, well.. how should I say this?” CL stammered.
“Potential suitors?” GD offered with a grin.
“Erm.. yeah, something like that,” CL agreed shyly.
“How many other over-protective brothers do you have CL-ah?” GD asked her playfully. “First TOP, now this Hyunjoong guy.”
CL could only smile sheepishly at him.

“GD-oppa is totally cool.” Nicole commented.
CL and Nicole were lazying around on CL’s bed, just chatting their afternoon away. Hyunjoong was in his own room, washing up and getting some rest before heading out for dinner later on.
At Nicole’s comment, CL turned to look at her instantly, feeling somehow afraid that Nicole would be attracted to GD. Nicole was one attractive girl for sure and she had a lot of experience with guys. But all she saw was Nicole’s twinkling eyes looking at her.
Nicole giggled, “Aigoo L, you cannot be any more obvious than that uh? I knew you like him from the start!”
“You’re making fun of me!” CL jumped up and attacked Nicole with tickles, which was one of Nicole’s weaknesses.
“I… gi…ve u..p, I’m …so… rry!” Nicole managed to say out in between her breathless state while still laughing uncontrollably.
CL finally stopped and laid down beside her, laughing along.
Once they calmed down though, Nicole assured CL, “He’s all yours L. Though you can let me know if you want him no more!”
“What?”
“I’M KIDDING!” Nicole shouted to prevent CL from attacking her once more.

“WHAT?” TOP shouted through his phone.
Bom was packing her stuff up since she was discharged that evening. She eyed the agitated TOP curiously and waited until he finished talking before asking.
“YA GD!” That’s all TOP managed to say before he got hung up. “Aish!!!” he threw his phone on the hospital bed.
“What’s wrong Seunghyun-oppa?”
He motioned for Bom to come closer to him and hugged her once she did, “I don’t know what to do with my sister.”
“CL-roo? What has CL got to do with GD’s phone call?”
He rested his chin on her shoulder and started to sigh, “GD likes CL.”
“HE DOES?” Bom asked excitedly, “I always knew there’s something else between the two of them! But what’s wrong with GD-oppa liking CL-roo?”
“He’s a playboy.”
Bom shook her head, “But I’ve not seen him with any girl since I knew CL.”
“He was anyway.”
“So were you.”
“But I’ve turned over a new leaf for you.” TOP patted her nose and she wiggled.
“Aigoo oppa, maybe GD-oppa has too. You should trust your own best friend.”
“Not if he’s eyeing on my only sister.” TOP mumbled.
“What if CL likes him too?”
“I think she does, but that’s beside the point.”
“Oppa!” Bom stood up and faced him, “You do remember that it was CL-roo who helped us right? It was also CL-roo who gave us a chance to be together and give us happiness. And if GD-oppa is her happiness, would you really prevent her from getting it, after all that she had done for you and I? Plus, GD is your best friend, isn’t he?”
TOP shrugged.
“Just let them be oppa, Mmh?”
“I’ll have to think about it.”
Bom shook her head, “You’re so stubborn oppa, anyway, let’s go. We’re having dinner with CL and her friends and I have to go home and get ready first.”

The Gang (BB & 2ne1), with Hyunjoong and Nicole, were having dinner at a Korean BBQ Restaurant that night.
“So, how was CL as a kid?” Dara asked their guests.
“When she just arrived at the orphanage, she kept crying and refused to talk to anyone at all. She was a loner, and she got bullied almost every day.” Hyunjoong said.
“Who bulled her?” TOP roared.
“Aigoo… relax Seunghyun-oppa.” Bom tried to calm him down.
Nicole snickered, “That was such a long time ago anyway.”
“Well, that’s only until Hyunjoong-oppa stepped in of course!” CL told the listeners.
“That was because you hid under my bed, L!” Hyunjoong explained, “I got a shock when I was about to sleep and heard someone sobbing under my bed.”
“Aigoo, oppa!” CL smacked him hard while the rest laughed.
“Then what happened Oppa?” Minji asked again, forgetting about her food and fully absorbed in the story of CL-unni’s childhood, and the pretty-boy oppa who was telling it.
“He prayed.” CL giggled.
9 pairs of curious eyes turned to Hyunjoong for explanation.
“I thought she was a ghost or something!” Hyunjoong defended himself.
The group burst out laughing.
“Aigoo, seriously, it’s so funny..” Bom wiped her tears away.
“Then I started giggling when I heard him praying BUT he prayed even louder! He even jumped off his bed when I started crawling out.” CL continued.
“Yahhh, L, you’re trying to embarrass me, don’t you?” Hyunjoong complained.
“Better you than me!” CL stuck her tongue at him.
Beside her, GD stared at the two’s interactions. CL had told him that she treated Hyunjoong like a brother she never knew she had, but their interactions somehow made him uneasy.
“He was also then one who taught me and Nicole to be strong and protect ourselves, especially since we’re Asians.” CL continued.
“Do you have any American friends, CL-ah?” Daesung asked.
“Sure I do, most of them are not bad once you get to know them.” CL answered him, “Yeah, but there are some issues we won’t agree with, especially culture-wise, so I find myself being closer to the Asians more somehow, like Nicole and Hyunjoong-oppa.”
“Guess I have to thank you for taking care of my sister well.” TOP commented, then he offered a toast of beer to Hyunjoong, “Cheers!”
“Cheers.” Hyunjoong nodded and drank up.

The group decided to continue their night out since it was Saturday the next day. They were heading out to a private karaoke-bar, owned by Seungri’s parents, to sing (the girls’ idea) and drink (mostly the guys’ idea).
“CHEERS!” the group shouted in unison and toasted.
The boys, with the exception of Youngbae, got themselves heavy alcoholic drinks. The girls got themselves light cocktails. Minji was sent home first by the way, she was simply way too young to join them with their night ventures.
Dara was the first to sing infront of the group. She chose Get Right by Jennifer Lopez. As soon as she started out singing, the group bounced along with her and the music. She was performing excitedly and actively to the song.
While drinking and watching Dara’s performance, CL could feel her phone vibrating, she took it out of her back pocket and saw that she received one message, from GD.
JINGyo (his name in her phone): don’t drink too much Chae-ah.
MyChae (her name in his phone): (giggling) aigoo oppa, you’re the one who should not drink too much, you’re driving remember?
JINGyo: Youngbae’s not drinking. He’ll be responsible to send us back safely.
MyChae: poor Youngbae-oppa….
Dara finished her performance and got herself a round of applause from the group.
It was Daesung’s turn next. He was smiling widely and his face had already turned red from the alcohol he consumed. Daesung was lousy drinker. But still he grabbed the mic and stood up infront of the group. Once the music to his song came up, he started dancing along, complete with exaggerated expressions and crazy body movement. He was even more hyper-active than his usual hyper-active self. And he chose a TROT song to sing, he made the group laughed till they teared.
Nicole was laughing non-stop, watching Daesung’s performance. She suddenly stood up and started singing along and dancing with him, she knew the song, she had heard her mom singing it before.
The group clapped for the couple’s performance. Daesung held Nicole by her hand and turned her round and round till the both of them got dizzy and fell onto the floor. The group laughed at them and Daesung and Nicole giggled before standing up and finished their hilarious performance.
TOP and Bom were singing a duet, titled We Belong Together. TOP rapped while Bom sang the chorus.
The atmosphere turned romantic in an instant. The couple was performing with so much emotion. TOP’s rap was fierce and Bom had an angelic voice that surprised the others, including TOP.
“Woww, Bom-unnie’s voice it JJANG!!” Nicole commented.
“We’ve never heard her sing before, so we didn’t even know!” Dara agreed.
Youngbae was up next. He performed Chris Brown’s with you, and danced along with the song in a smooth manner. The group (especially the girls) were awed by his smooth move and wonderful singing voice.
Dara, especially, was enraptured by the sight of Youngbae performing. He was filled with a confidence she had never seen him with before. She could not help herself but to watch him more intently, staring even, like a fangirl.
CL saw Dara’s opened mouth and pushed her chin upwards slowly. Dara jumped slightly with shock and turned to CL to hit her. “Yahh!!”
“You can’t take your eyes off of him~~” CL sang to her to the melody of ‘Can’t take my eyes off of you’ while Dara blushed.
Hyunjoong sang Falling Slowly by Glen Hansard. The group swayed along to his singing. The girls closed their eyes to enjoy his voice more. His pretty face was a distraction; they could appreciate his singing more once they closed their eyes.
“Tsk tsk, this karaoke session seems more like a private concert.” Seungri commented.
Seungri was next and he sang Strong Baby.
“SO SEXAYYYYYYYY!” he shouted, and the group clapped along. CRACK CRACK CRACK!
“SOOOOOO SEXAYYYYYYYY!” the group shouted in unison again, then CRACKKK CRACKKK CRACKKKK!
At GD’s turn, he sang Run It by Chris Brown and he was an awesome performer. He got this look on him that made the group unable to turn away from his performance.
The groups cheered him on and he started dancing with the rhythm. CL felt proud of the man infront of her. He was exceptionally charming and shining while performing.
CL chose Doo Woop by Lauryn Hill and wowed her audience. She rapped fiercely and sang awesomely.
“Ommo! CL can rap like a pro!” Bom clapped her hand in excitement.
“Yes, unnie, she’s always been this awesome.” Nicole informed her.
“She still got that swagger, huh..” Hyunjoong nodded his head in approval, “still the same L.”
“Aigoo this CL is full of surprises isn’t she?” Daesung giggled at her, obviously a bit drunk.
The whole group was jumping and dancing along with CL’s performance while Dara jumped beside CL and tried to imitate her hip-hop actions, but failed of course.
TOP and GD were high and they decided to kick it up a notch by putting their hands in the air and shouting along with CL, ultimately turning them somehow, into CL’s ridiculous overexcited fanboys.
CL crooned,
“Girrrrrlllssss~ you know you better watch out..

That thing that thing THAT….” she pointed her microphone to her audience.
And they gladly sang along, “THI~I~I~NG”
Nicole was up next and she chose My Humps by Black Eyed Peas and urged the whole group to sing the song.
The girls ended up on one side of the room, while the guys on the other.
Each of them were gonna sing parts of the songs and dance in the middle, taking turns.
