"Hey Dara," he turned towards her and greeted her back.
"Youngbae-Oppa, I... " Dara stuttered, "Regarding yesterday, I'm sorry. I-I can't accept it."
Youngbae just stood there for a while, shocked at Dara's unexpected answer.
"Aah.. I see." Youngbae nodded then, "So... I guess I just got rejected." he smiled at Dara.
"I-I'm sorry Oppa... I...." Dara started.
"It's alright, you don't have to be sorry." Youngbae cut her off to assure her, "We can still be friends though right?"
Dara smiled at him weakly, "Yeah, of course..."
"CL-ah, what are you doing out here?" someone said on the other side of the door leading to the rooftop.
"CL?" Dara ran towards the door in shock, "Oh no, did she hear everything?"
She opened the door to see the surprised GD standing alone.
"What are you doing here?" GD asked her.
"Was that CL?" Dara asked and GD nodded, confirming her suspicion.
Then Youngbae appeared from behind Dara, "What's wrong?" he asked.
Everything dawned on GD then, CL must have heard something between the two of them. She must have found out about Youngbae's
confession to Dara, she would not run otherwise.
"I'll go and look for her." Dara said then leaving the confused Youngbae and GD.
"What happened actually?" Youngbae turned to GD and asked.
"Nothing, don't fret yourself over it." GD told him, "I gotta go." then GD also went to look for CL.

CL on the other hand was running alone. Honestly, she did not understand from who and what was she running away from. She acted like a little
girl caught in the act of doing something wrong, in this case, eavesdropping. Until she banged into someone.
"OMOOO!" The person exclaimed, "CL-ah!"
CL staggered backwards for a bit then she looked up, "Daesung Oppa!"
He looked behind CL, "What are you running away from? Who is chasing you?"
CL looked behind her and shrugged, "I don't know."
"You're so weird." Daesung commented, "But cute." he pinched her cheek.
"Walk with me Oppa." CL requested him.
"Sure, where are you going to anyway?" he asked her.
She looked at him and smiled sheepishly, "I... don't know...?"
"Tsk tsk, CL-ah.." Daesung shook his head.
"I have nothing to do now Oppa." CL told him.
"Hmmm.. Then....... do you want to help Oppa up?" Daesung asked her.
"Sure Oppa!" CL replied him, delighted for the necessary distraction. She needed to calm down and think about everything first.
Daesung brought her to the library and assigned her to help him (who were supposed to help the librarian) to arrange the countless
amount of books to their shelves.
Talking and working with Daesung Oppa helped CL relaxed. Honestly, CL had not stopped and thought about everything yet. Her first
reaction when GD caught her eavesdropping on Dara and Youngbae was to run.
She ran away, yes, she was shocked by what she heard. That Youngbae-Oppa likes Dara, she never knew. But what about Dara?
Does she like him back? She rejected him though, didn't she?
She thought about Dara's behaviour this morning.
'Well, Dara knew about me liking Youngbae-Oppa. So... she was probably feeling guilty that Youngbae confessed to her and she
rejected him all because of..... ME?' CL thought. 'She's probably looking all over for me.'
She took out her phone from her pocket and saw 47 missed calls from Dara and Jingyo Oppa.
"Daesung Oppa, can I be excused for a while?" CL asked Daesung.
"You know what you want to do now?" Daesung winked at her. "Run along now! But if you have nothing to do again, you can always
come to help me here." he told her.
"Sure Oppa, I will, I promise, thanks Oppa!" she waved goodbye at him and went out of the library to call Dara.
"CL! I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry!" Dara said from the other line, "Where are you now? Can we talk?"
"Meet me behind the ARTS Building." CL said coolly and hung up.

"CL!" Dara ran towards CL who were sitting down at the bench waiting for her. Dara was crying softly, "I swear I didn't
mean to hurt you or anything. I didn't know! I'm sorry, CL-ah!"
"STOP being a crybaby!" CL told her harshly.
Dara looked at CL's angry face worriedly.
Then CL began to giggle and smile, confusing Dara.
"Babo-yah! Is that why you were so worried this morning? Because Youngbae-Oppa had confessed to you yesterday?" CL asked her.
Dara nodded slowly and bowed her head down.
"Yahhh!!! You think I will be angry at you?" CL asked again.
"Aren't you? Dara asked her back.
"Yes I am VERY ANGRYY!!! GRRR!!!" CL teased her.
"CL-ah..." Dara said.
"I'm angry because you didn't even tell me!" CL told her.
"I... I'm sorry." Dara apologised again.
"Alright! Enough with your guilt whatsoever! It's not your fault Youngbae Oppa likes you!" CL explained, "You're pretty and kind,
who wouldn't?" she joked. "Well, yes I do like Youngbae-Oppa but maybe I don't like him that much. I don't know," she shrugged.
"Are you serious?" Dara asked her carefully.
"OF COURSE!" CL assured her, "Do you like him back?"
Dara shrugged, "I don't know, CL-ah.. I-I I don't even dare to think about it."
"Because of me right?" CL asked again. "Listen! ALL IS FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR. Even if he likes you and you like him back and you
both ended up together, we'll still be friends! Our friendship is worth more than just a boy right, well even if he's such an awesome
boy?"
Dara smiled at CL, "Yes of course! We will still be friends no matter what!"
"Good!" CL said, "Then if it turns out that he likes me, then you shouldn't be angry at me too!"
Dara laughed, "Sure, pinky promise!"
The two girls smiled at each other.
CL looked at her watch and said, "Your class is starting soon! Run along now, I'll wait for you after your class at our usual spot okay?"
Dara hugged CL tight, "Thank you CL-ah, I love you." then she turned away to go to her class.
After she left, CL sat down again on the bench in a slump.
"You can cry if you want to." she heard a guy said.
CL turned towards the voice, "Jingyo Oppa!"
He smiled at her.
"You heard us?" CL asked him.
"Yeah." he nodded then he sat himself down beside her, "You're forcing yourself too much aren't you?"
CL shrugged then she asked him, "Then can I borrow your shoulder for a while?"
"Sure." he tapped on his right shoulder.
CL burried her face into it and cried for a little while, GD could only continuously pat her on her back to comfort her.
After a while, CL raised her head and wiped her tears away, "Thanks Oppa."
"No problem." GD patted her on her head. "You really like Youngbae huh?"
CL smiled, "Well, yeah I do. But not that much, I guess. I think I like Dara more."
"Ommo!! CL-ah! Don't scare Oppa! You like girls now?" GD teased her.
CL laughed then she said, "You know that's not what I meant. But anyway, I'm giving him up. So it's bye bye to my first love."
"You're giving him up so easily?" GD asked her, "I thought you're stronger than that!"
"He likes Dara, Jingyo-Oppa. I don't see the point in forcing him to like me." CL said. "And I think if not because of me, Dara would
consider liking him back, you see."
"You can always try to change his heart." GD advised her.
"But I'll always think that he's fond of Dara anyway. And I'm in between them." CL replied him.
"Dara is very loyal to you, she'll never do anything to hurt you." GD commented.
CL mulled over it, "Yeah.. I know, that's why I feel even more guilty."
"You're too sensitive. It's not your fault for liking him." GD comforted her.
"Don't worry about me Jingyo Oppa," CL assured him. "Surprisingly, I am not even that sad now!" CL admitted.
"Oh yeah? and then what is this wet stuff on my shoulder?" GD asked her disbelievingly.
"Oppa!" CL laughed again, "I am sad cos he's after all my first love, it's only normal that I cry over him right? But I meant that I am
not too overly sad about it, you know! I can live with it."
"Uh-huh," GD nodded slowly then stopped and shook his head, "wait, I don't really understand you."
"Arrggghh.. nevermind!" CL whined.

CL and GD walked to the parking lot together. The rest of Big Bang were already there waiting for them. TOP saw them first and
waved for them to join them.
"Hurry up, you two!" TOP called out.
"What's up." GD greeted the rest.
CL looked at Youngbae Oppa who was smiling awkwardly right infront of her. 'Poor Youngbae Oppa,' she thought, 'He must really feel
disappointed at Dara's rejection.'
"Listen, we were talking just now about our winter holiday." TOP told them, "and we've decided to go to Bali this time round. And
Chaerin-ah, you're coming with us."
"I am? Really Oppa?" CL forgot about her pity for Youngbae-Oppa and she jumped up and down excitedly.
"Look at you getting all so excited!" GD teased her.
"I've never been to Bali! BEACH! SUN!" CL exclaimed and the rest laughed at her reaction.
"And you can ask your friends along too." TOP told her.
CL screamed, "Ommo!!! That's awesome! I will ask Dara, Seungri and Bom-unnie then."
"That's settled then!" TOP smiled.
"And don't forget about Minji, Jingyo Oppa!" CL reminded GD.
"Sure, she'll LOVE it!" GD nodded.
"So when will we leave Seoul exactly?" CL asked again. "I have lots of things to complete and prepare before the trip."
"Two weeks from now." Youngbae told her, "Will that be enough time for you?"
"Hmmm," CL made mental calculations in her head, then said "Should be fine."
TOP smiled, "Perfect."
"Oh Noo!!!" CL suddenly exclaimed. "Well, I have one slight problem. Well, Dara... she... she might not be able to afford the trip."
"Don't worry CL-ah," Daesung said, "I can't afford the trip either. But don't you know that your Appa owned a private jet?"
"WHAT? HE DOES?" CL shouted in surprise.
The guys nodded, and Daesung continued, "So the flight is settled. As for accomodation, GD's family owned a villa in Bali, if I'm
not wrong right?" he asked GD.
GD gave Daesung a thumb up, "You're right, as usual. No problem. I will arrange that!"
"So don't worry." TOP patted CL's head.
"Aigooo, I still can't believe I'm hanging out with rich farts!" CL commented.
"Well, if you forgot, let me remind you that you're one of the farts now." GD pinched her on the cheek and they all laughed.

"Ah Youngbae Oppa!" CL suddenly said, "I have some materials I have to get for the fashion show. Can you come with me to help me with it?"
"Sure." Youngbae said and started to follow her.
"Do you need my help too, Chaerin-ah." TOP offered.
"Nope!" CL rejected his offer, "Well Oppa, my design is TOP SECRET, only the model can see it!"
TOP scoffed, "TOP SECRET? I have seen your designs scattered all over the house, young lady!"
CL stuck her tongue out at him and continued walking away, "Whatever Oppa!"
Daesung and GD laughed at him. Daesung commented, "You can never win against her, can you? She's really cute."
"What Daesung? Don't tell me you like my sister?" TOP eyed him suspiciously.
"Well, yeah I like her alright," Daesung nodded, then added before TOP could say anything, "But not the way you thought I do.
She's a cute little sister to me. And after all, I wouldn't dream of becoming your brother in law, hyung. The thought of it is grossing
me out already."
TOP smacked Daesung on the back and Daesung whined in pain. Then TOP turned to GD, "Then what about you, GD?"
"Huh?" GD was taken aback from TOP's question.
"I've noticed that you're pretty close to our Chaerin, huh?" TOP questioned him.
GD rolled his eyes to hide his nervousness, "Don't start with me."
"Come on, man!" TOP prodded him.
"Aigoo, hyung! You like CL?" Daesung teased him.
"I think it's more like CL who likes him." TOP commented.
"She does?" GD and Daesung said at the same time.
TOP nodded, "She blushed the last time I brought up the topic of her liking my best friend."
GD just shrugged, 'It's the wrong best friend.' he thought.

"Youngbae-Oppa, actually getting the materials is just an excuse." CL stopped walking and turned to face the confused Youngbae.
"So you want to talk to Oppa?" Youngbae asked her.
"Yepp." CL said, "I'm going to be straightforward, Oppa. Well, actually, I kinda accidentally overheard your conversation with Dara
earlier this afternoon at the rooftop."
Youngbae blinked in surprise and then he sighed, "So you know she rejected me?"
"Oppa! Are you giving up already?" CL asked.
"She doesn't like me, what else can I do but to give up?" Youngbae said.
"Aigoooo... Oppa, did you even chase after her?" CL asked him again, "No right? Then of course she rejected you, she did not even
know and then you dropped the bomb that you like her. Think about it, if she's an insincere girl, she would just date you even if she
doesn't like you, because you're rich, she can get your money! But since Dara is a great girl, she will never just date you only for your
money."
Youngbae pondered about it for a while, "You think I should chase after her?"
"Most definitely." CL nodded firmly, "She's a great girl, Oppa. It's your lost if you don't get her!"
"I'll.... think about it." Youngbae said carefully. "After all, I just got rejected so... I'm kinda dreading it."
CL patted his shoulder, "Don't worry Oppa, I believe you have a chance." she winked at him.
Youngbae smiled at CL, "Thank you, CL-ah, you're also a great girl."
'But stupid,' CL added in her mind, 'Stupid enough to be involved in matchmaking her own crush with her best friend.'
That night, CL called GD to tell him about her intention to matchmake Dara and Youngbae together during their Bali trip. CL admitted
that she felt a little bit of pain when she talked to Youngbae about it but she wanted to help him because she couldn't stand looking at
him being all disappointed and dejected.
"You're the stupidest girl I have ever met, CL-ah!" GD commented, "Why are you torturing yourself like this?"
"I know! But I can't help it Oppa." CL replied him, "I can't force my own love to him, but I want Youngbae Oppa to be happy and find
happiness with his love."
"I don't know if you are kind-hearted or idiotic." GD said, "I think a little bit of both."
"Oppa!"
"As long as you don't regret it!" GD told her.
"I won't." CL assured him.
"I'm speechless!" GD sighed.
"Oppa! Come on!!! If we're going to help, we should help till the end!" CL told him.
"I never said that I wanted to help them." GD said.
"But I do, Oppa! And won't you help me?" CL begged him.
"Do I have a choice?" GD finally relented, "But how are you going to do it exactly?"
"Just watch me!" CL told him confidently.
"You're hopeless too!" GD muttered.
"I am." CL admitted herself.
"Oh but CL-ah, your Oppa thinks that you like me instead of Youngbae." GD informed her.
"He does?" CL giggled, "He's so funny. Let him be. You don't mind right, Oppa?"
"Yeah, it's alright for me." GD told her.
"Oh anyway Oppa, the fashion show is going to be held a few weeks after winter holiday ends, so you should just be ready. We
need to do fitting as well." CL told him.
"Are you going to do it before or after our trip?" GD asked.
"The fitting? After. I'm not done yet, I have to rush everything before we go on the trip." CL told him, "So I'm going to be real busy."
"Busy enough to keep your nose out of people's love problem?" GD asked hopefully.
CL giggled, "Fat chance, Oppa."
"As long as you don't come running to me and cry again." GD mocked her.
"I WILL NOT!" CL screeched, embarrased to be reminded of her crying scene, "Can you just forget that?"
"Can you forget trying to matchmake Youngbae and Dara?" GD asked her back.
"Nooooo." CL replied.
"Then No for me too." GD replied back. "But do you want my help with your project?"
"I wish you could help me." CL said, "But I don't think you can."
"I'm just a call away." GD told her.
"Thank you for the offer Oppa! I'm really going to take you up on it!"
After talking for a couple of hours, they bade each other goodnight and hung up. GD laid down on his bed and thought
to himself, 'I'm just as stupid as you, CL-ah. Oh what have become of the greatest playboy of YG University, devoting
his time and effort for one little girl now. The irony.'
