Chapter 11

Divine Beauty? [Countdown: 1]

While eating,
“~~~~~, tomorrow’s your birthday, right?” Mr. Kim asked.
“Yeah, grandpa, but, I’ll be happier if we’ll just celebrate it together. With KiBum, Hyukjae and my cousins.” you replied.
“Don’t say things like that, ~~~~~. It’s your 18th birthday and it should be a great party.” Aunt Emily said.
“But, I really don’t have that much friends at school, you know? Because you told me to choose those people who would make friends with me...” you said.
“Then you shall invite them. We’ll also invite other company holders and tomorrow, I’ll introduce you as the heiress of my treasures and company.” Mr. Kim said.

You became sad and stopped eating.

“What’s with the sad face, sweetie?” Aunt Emily asked.
“Uhmm, nothing. I’m done, I’ll be going back to my bedroom now.” you said. You stood up and left your plate, still half full.
“Did she eat?” Mr. Kim asked.
“Yes, father, but only few... I wonder what’s wrong with her... her mood suddenly changed into a bad one.” Aunt Emily said.
“Say, how’s she and KiBum?” Mr. Kim asked again.
“They’re fine being together... they always go out.” Aunt Emily said.
“So they’re compatible with each other?” Mr. Kim asked.
“Does it mean you want them a fix marriage?” Aunt Emily replied.
“If everything will be fine for them.” Mr. Kim replied.

In your room, you were at your bed sited down while reading a book when someone from below the balcony of your room called. “Pssst!” the voice said.

You went to the balcony and looked below. “Junsu! Wait, I’ll be going down. Don’t move there.” you said. You wore your hoody and rushed to the door. You ran down the stairs and went in front of the mansion (below your room). Junsu wears a big smile in his face. He was really happy to see you.
“Uhmm, so how are you?” he asked shyly and with a red face.
“I’m okay! I thought you’ll never get back here again.” you replied.
Junsu smiled. “Well, mom forbids me to go here anymore... she said it’s not right to befriend with you. She said we’re the opposite kind, you’re rich and I’m poor...” he said.
“That’s not a big deal... I don’t care if you’re poor.” you said.
“Really? That was nice of you.” Junsu said.
“Oh yeah, I nearly forgot, tomorrow’s my birthday and we’ll be having a party here, please do come.” you told Junsu.
“I... I can’t...” Junsu said.
“You can’t? But why?” you asked with a sad face.
“I’m sure your parents would be mad if I’ll go there... you know, I’m not like you...” Junsu replied.
“Oh c’mon, I invited you! Isn’t that enough?” you asked.
“But, if I’ll go, I wouldn’t have any present for you.” Junsu said.
“It’s okay with me. Your presence there would make me happy.” you said.
“Are you sure?” Junsu asked. “Yeah! Hey, looks like you don’t want to come.” you said.
“No!! I want... okay, okay, I’ll come. That’s a promise.” Junsu said.
“I’ll wait for you, tomorrow evening, at six. Okay?” you said.
“Sure.” Junsu said with a smile. “Better get going now or mom will get mad at me. Thanks, my divine beauty!” Junsu said as he ran towards a secret passage near the walls waving goodbye to you.
“Divine beauty?” you whispered to yourself.
