“I’m okay... I’m just... full with problems lately.” you answered. “Problems? Mind telling me some of it?” Hyukjae asked as the two of you started walking again. “It won’t work... there’s too many to state.” you said and released a heavy sigh. “Man, you look like you’re flatted with those problems today.” Hyukjae said.
“Where’s KiBum?” you asked. “He’s still not here... maybe he’ll be arriving sooner.” Hyukjae answered. ***Did she forget about yesterday?*** he thought. “Hey, something wrong?” you asked as both of you entered the room.
“Good morning, ~~~~~!” they greeted. “Good morning.” you replied in a lazy voice. “Is there something wrong with the princess?” a girl asked. It was Rina, another rich girl. Well, your school is a school for rich boys and girls.
“I’m not a princess.” you replied as you sat down on your chair. You really hate that girl from the start. All she did is to talk and talk and talk to you. She wanted to be close to you because of your status... even though she’s as rich as you. Hyukjae sat beside you because his chair is next to you.
A few minutes passed and still, KiBum is not around and classes will start at ten minutes later. You looked outside with your face a little bit, down and sad. “Hey, I’m really pissed off by your expression. What happened?” he asked going in front of you, blocking your eyes to see outside.
“You really want to know?” you asked him back. “Of course I want to know what’s bugging my childhood friend’s mind.” Hyukjae replied.
“I know the truth now.” you said. “Huh? What are you saying?” he asked. “I’m not grandpa’s real granddaughter.” you answered. “WHAT?! I... I can’t understand what you’re saying.” he said. “Then don’t ask me everything now.” you said. “H-hey... I’m sorry... you... you just started it as... aish! No... Okay, tell me everything... from the start.” Hyukjae said sitting beside you, placing his right hand into your shoulders.
“I don’t have any blood of them.” you said. “Which means... you’re really not Mr. Kim’s granddaughter?” Hyukjae asked. “Yeah... and I’m not rightful for his treasures.” you added. “But... yeah, consider the fact that you’re not his true granddaughter...” “He still cared for me a lot and treated me as his own granddaughter.” you continued.
“So...?” “I can’t do anything.” you said. “But... where’s his true granddaughter?” Hyukjae asked. “She’s dead.” you answered. “Oh... but... how did you get in their lives?” Hyukjae asked. “Remember when mom brought me there?” you said. “Yeah.” he replied. “Grandpa and auntie bought me from mom... and mom, even though she doesn’t want to give me to them... still did it because father needs money for his operation. So there... she accepted the money and brought me there... she took the payment and left me there. Without anything to say.” you explained.
“Oh... that’s... sad.” Hyukjae said. Poor Hyukjae, he can’t say anything... “Uhm, are you... mad with anyone?” he asked. “Nope, I’m not mad... I’m just kinda feeling bad with what they did to me... and the fact that they did not tell me anything... it hurts me.” you said. “It’s okay... I’m here... KiBum’s here... and...” “And?”
“And Junsu’s here... the three of us will stay the same for you... and... we will never hide anything from you... even though Junsu is not here to say and hear that... I’m sure... he’ll do the same thing... after all; you’ve been a very good friend to him, right? I know he feels the same way to you...” Hyukjae said.
“Yeah... right. Thanks, Hyukjae.” you said and smiled. “Aww, it’s really much better to see you smile than cry.” Hyukjae said. You hugged him as he continued to rub your back.
