Chapter 41

The Last Day

“Bye~~” Auntie Bella said as the three of you went down the van. “Take care with the baby girl, boys!” she said as she left.
“Aish, she’s really pathetic.” KiBum said.
“Bye!” Hyukjae said as he waves endlessly.
“Hyukie, enough with the waving, your arms might jump out.” You said.
“Okk.” He answered happily.
“Why are you so happy today?” KiBum asked.
“Because I’ll see Diana performs onstage.” Hyukjae answered as the three of you walked.
“Perform?” you asked.
“Yeah, later for the culminating activities, don’t you remember? It’s the school’s foundation day.”
“Oh yeah! I forgot.” You said.
“How could you forget it!? T.T” Hyukjae asked.
“I’m sorry.” You answered.
“Aish, enough with those chitchats, lets get to the classroom now.” KiBum said.
“KiBum, you looked grumpy today!” you pouted.
“I’m not grumpy.”
“He just got up from the wrong side of the bed. Haha!” Hyukjae teased.

KiBum glared at him.

“Oops, better be quiet.” Hyukjae said.

At the classroom,

“Okay, class, as you all know, today is the school’s foundation day, and also, the last day of the three students here, Ms. ~~~~~, Lee Hyukjae and Kim KiBum. I want you all to say what you want to tell them. Accompany them this day for you will never see them again tomorrow or the next week.” The teacher said.

“Yes sir!” everybody answered as they stood up.
“Hyukjae, are you going to watch me later?” Diana asked.
“Of course, D!” Hyukjae answered.
“Does he like her?” you whispered to KiBum.
“I don’t know.” He answered.

Students were walking everywhere as booths were scattered everywhere. The student council and the other selected students were preparing the gym for the culminating activities later. You were with KiBum and Hyukjae seated under a tree. Hyukjae was eating French fries, you were eating a cotton candy and Kibum was just quiet as he takes some of your cotton candy.

“Haaa… I can’t wait.” Hyukjae said as he dreamt of Diana singing on stage.
“Hyukie, do you like her?” you asked.
“No, I just want to hear her voice. And she’s my closes classmate here…” he answered.
“You mean you’re not close to me? T.T” you asked.
“No! You’re my very best friend here! No one can beat you!” Hyukjae answered.
“I-do-not-believe.” You murmured.
“Believe me!!!” Hyukjae cried.
“Such kids.” KiBum said.
“KiBum, tell me, are you sad of leaving this place?” you asked, Hyukjae was in tears behind you.
“Nope.” He answered. “In fact, I’m happy for leaving this place.” He answered.
“Bummie, you sound different today!” you said.
“Yeah… I know… it’s just that…”
“…?”

[FLASHBACK]
“KiBum, you’ll be leaving soon… please take this.” Taylor said, as she gives a box to KiBum.
“What’s this?” KiBum asked.
“Ch-chocolates…” she answered, shyly.
“For what?” he asked.
“Uhm… you see, I really… like you… since the first day I saw you… but I think, you like her.” She answered.
“Taylor…”

“I’m sorry, KiBum, if ever I’ll do this.” She said.
“Do wha---”

Taylor kissed Kibum’s lips as she cried. KiBum pushed her.

“Taylor!” he shouted.
“I… I’m sorry KiBum.” She cried.
“Damn!” he said and left.
[END OF FLASHBACK]

“So… that explains why you did not attended school… you mean, you faked your fever?!” you asked.
“No, I really have fever… but I was just lucky that day.” He answered.
“I see… is that why you’ve been staying away from her?” you asked.
“Yeah.”
“Don’t you like her?”
“Not that I don’t like her… it’s just that… there’s…”
“There’s?”
“There’s you in my heart.”
“KiBum…”
“Ohh… so much drama.” Hyukjae said.
“KiBum… we talked about that already, isn’t it?” you asked.
“I know… but I just can’t let go of you that easily… I mean, you’re really the one I love… even though I know he’s the only one you love.”

Back to Korea~

“Yash!” Junsu sneezed.
“Junsu Oppa, are you feeling cold?” Anica asked.
“Nope, I’m fine… my nose is just feeling itchy.” He said with a smile.
“I wonder how Unnie’s doing there…” Anica said.
“Yeah… speaking of Unnie, they’ll be coming back tomorrow evening.” Junsu said.
“Really?! Wow! I’ll see her again!” Anica said.
“Junsu Oppa, are we going to pick her up from the airport?” Danica asked.
“If Mr. Kim asks us to, we’ll pick her there!” Junsu answered.
“I wish Mr. Kim asks us to!” Anica said.
“Ahahaha! Me too!” Junsu said and looked at the sky.
