The three of you were surprised. Tears started to form in your eyes as you looked at her.
“G-grandpa?” you asked as you turned around to look at him.
He bowed his head, glued his eyes at the floor and clutched his fists.
“Grandpa.” You called, a little bit mad now.
“Believe her.” He said.
“H-how come you just showed today?” you asked to her.
“I always show up… the thing is… he’s always hiding you from me.” She answered.
You were surprised as she answered you. He… --- he’s always hiding you from me…
“W-why?” you asked him as you cried harder. KiBum wrapped his arms around your shoulders.
“I wanted to take you away from her. As far as possible…” he answered.
“Why?!” you asked.
“Because I’ve always known that she’s not a good mother for you!” he shouted.
“Huh! Are you saying I’m not a perfect mother for ~~~~~?” she asked.
“Why?! Since when did you become a good mother for her?” he threw back her words.
“That’s because you’ve kept her away from me!” she shouted.
“That’s because you don’t suit to be a mother to her!” he shouted.
“Grandpa…” you said.
They stopped and looked at you.
“W-why?” he answered.
“How come you were able to say she’s not a good mother to me?” you asked, looking at the floor.
“Because she was… she was able to sold you.” he answered.
“S-sold? Is that true?” you asked her.
“That’s because your father needs to be hospitalized.” She answered.
“How come I don’t know anything?” you cried.
“I wanted to keep it from you… to prevent your feelings on being hurt.” He said.
“But it was my right to know it, right?” you asked.
“I know… but I really want to keep you… at least for me and Emily.” He said.
By his words, you felt like he really loves you… that he and Emily really love you as their own blood.
“Huh! Such flowery words.” She said.
“If you don’t want to believe, be it… but I’m saying the truth.” He said and walked towards your mom.
He looked at her.
“You got what you want, her trust. Do as you want to, but please, do not hurt her or I’ll be forced to take her away from you again.” he threatened and left the room.
You cried harder as KiBum hugged you harder. You buried your face into his shoulders as you covered your eyes.
“Come here, sweetie. I’ll take you back home now.” She said sweetly, offering her arms.
“~~~~~…” Kibum whispered to you.
“I don’t want to.” You said.
She was surprised. And so were Hyukjae and KiBum.
“Why?” she asked.
“I want to stay here, with them.” you answered. “I just can’t leave them… especially grandpa and auntie.”
“Don’t you understand? They’re not your real grandpa and auntie! They just bought you, they adopted you!” she insisted.
“What’s worse, to buy someone who now means everything or to sell someone who means everything? Better to say, do I really mean to you?” you asked back.
She was stoned as she looked at you, as she thought of the words you have said.
“I didn’t mean to sell you, I never meant to.” She cried.
“But you did it… already.” You said.
“That’s because I wanted to save your father.” She said.
“Whatever your reason is, you sold me. And I don’t know but… I just can’t accept it. I can’t go with you… I’m sorry… m… mom… but I want to stay with them.” you said.
“M-mom?” she uttered as you walked, passing her, and behind you were Hyukjae and KiBum.
