“I can’t believe you told Selina that it’s okay for you to go to the mall,” Ella hissed as they struggle carrying shopping bags while Selina walked with gleaming eyes as she stared at the shops.
“I don’t know either. Before I could retreat, she already dragged me,” Hebe replied in a soft voice.
Ella whined, “Yes, and the both of you showed up on my doorstep before you even called me… and dragged me here with you.” She sighed and rolled her eyes. “Genie’s so lucky to be able to get away fom this horrible shopping experience.”
Hebe nodded as she agreed with Ella. Before they knew it, Selina stopped with her mouth agape. They looked at each other and were confused.
Out of the blue, Selina shouted, “There it is!” Hebe looked up at the store. It was one of those Louis Vuitton’s shops. There was a poster outside and stated that ‘New Denim Collection has arrived.’
“Oh God,” Hebe said.
“This can’t be good,” Ella said as both of them covered their ears.
“Louis Vuitton’s new denim pouch bag! OMG! I got to get one of those!” Selina shrieked and walked right in the store.
Ella and Hebe stared at where she used to stand.
“She’s got a major case of Louis Vuitton addiction,” Ella said as they went to find a place to plop down and rest.

Selina instantly rushed to the counter. The attendant was there and was talking with some girl.
Selina didn’t mind and immediately butted in their conversation, “Excuse me, Miss. Can I have one of those?” She asked as she pointed at the poster.
The attendant excused herself from the other girl and said, “Sorry, Ma’am, but it’s now out of stock. This girl here just bought the last stock,” explained the attendant.
Selina removed her sunglasses. Yes, she’s wearing sunglasses. Her mouth hung open and said in a little voice, “Out of stock?”
The attendant handed the girl her shopping bag and walked out of the store as some guy followed her.
Selina unfroze from her place and her mind starting working again! She dashed out of the store and blocked the way of the girl who just bought the last stock of the pouch bag.
“What the--” the girl said as her eyes widened.
“I’ll pay you whatever price you want! Just let me have that pouch bag.” Selina looked too desperate which is why a smirk was formed on her face.
“Pay me? Well, what price should I pick?” The girl said as she stomped her foot. Selina shouted in a frantic tone, “Any price!”
The girl looked at her and said, “How about… get-out-of-my-way price?” the girl laughed and walked away together with that guy.
Selina stood there. Her knees became wobbly and she fell down on the marble floor dramatically. Her eyes were forming tears.
Ella and Hebe immediately spotted her. They hurriedly made their way towards Selina.
“Selina, what happened?” Hebe asked in a concerned voice.
Unexpectedly, Selina shrieked, “NO!”
Everyone around them stopped what they were doing. The janitor stopped mopping, the children stopped running. Everyone seemed frozen.
Ella and Hebe apologized and were embarrassed. They held each of Selina’s arms and pulled her away from the frozen crowd.

“You gave us such a fright!” Hebe said as they sat down the chairs.
They were in Starbucks Café. Ella and Hebe dragged Selina away from all those people.
Ella let out a sarcastic laugh. “It was more like embarrassment.”
“She---She--” Selina was still in shock from not getting the pouch bag.
Hebe’s forehead creased. “She what?”
Selina faced them with eyes so wide. Ella waved her hands in front of her but she was still saying the she-stuttering-sentence.
“Hey!”
All of them turned to look at their left and they saw Jiro with Arron. Jiro was smiling at them while Arron turned around and almost choked on his drink.
“Iro-oh?” Selina suddenly was thrilled to see him. “Iro-oh!” She said as she went towards Jiro and hugged him.
“You don’t know how sad I am,” Selina said to Jiro.
Jiro looked at her with concerning eyes. “What happened?” Then, they drifted into the conversation about the pouch bag.
“Hi,” Arron said.
“Hello?” Hebe said as she blinked twice.
Ella looked at them back and forth. “Are you just going to have those questioning faces?” She rolled her eyes. They didn’t budge.
Ella sighed. “Alright. Let me start the conversation for you. ‘Hebe, how have you been? How’s your date with Mike?’” Ella mimicked Arron’s voice. “’It was great! Mike is so handsome!’” She mimicked Hebe’s high-pitched voice.
“Yeah right,” Arron rolled his eyes.
Hebe crossed her arms. “Mike was really so gentleman-ish.”
Arron snickered, “There’s no such word, stupid head.”
Hebe was shocked. She faced Arron. “So now you’re Mr-Know-It-All? Fine.”
Ella again looked at both of them and blinked her eyes. “Did you guys fight or something?” She faced Arron. “Weren’t you flirting with those girls during detention?” Then, she turned to face Hebe. “Weren’t you in a good mood?”
“Shut up!” said Hebe and Arron at the same time. Ella felt like she shrunk into a size of a mouse.
“Arron?” a voice said and startled them.
“Rainie?!” Arron said and stood up.
“How’ve you been, darling?” Rainie said with a smirk. “Oh! Hebe, it’s nice to see you here. You guys having some project? I’d love to help,” Rainie said and winked at Arron.
“Uh… we’re not having a project,” Hebe said reluctantly.
Arron pulled Danson to his side and whispered, “What are you guys doing here?!” Danson shrugged and said, “Rain, heard about the pouch bag arrival.”
Arron sighed and looked back at Rainie and Hebe and also, Ella who felt like a mouse.
“Who might be this cute little mouse-like lady?” asked Rainie as she turned her look to Ella.
Hebe smiled. “This is Ella Chen, my best friend and classmate.”
“Nice to meet you,” said Rainie with a friendly smile.
Mouse-like? Ella thought.
“That’s her!” Selina suddenly shouted as she stood up from her seat.
All of them averted their attention to Selina who was frantically trembling.
“Oh, you’re that totally desperate girl from the LV shop,” Rainie said.
Selina stomped her way towards Rainie and faced her. “You’re such a cruel lady!”
Rainie was taken aback and put her hand over her chest. “I am?” She motioned Danson to give her the shopping bag. “I bought this for Hebe,” She said and handed Hebe the shopping bag. “It’s yours, Hebe. I don’t care if you give it to this desperate lady here,” Rainie said and smiled as she linked her arm on Arron’s.
“What are you doing?” whispered Arron.
“Helping you,” Rainie said in between her smiling teeth.
Hebe looked at them and felt pissed off. Jiro went to them and asked, “What’s happening?”
“Oh, can we go first? We need to go somewhere. Right, Arron?” Rainie looked at Arron.
“Uhmm… sure,” Arron replied.
Rainie smiled evilly and pulled Arron away from them with Danson following them.
Arron looked back at Jiro with pleading eyes.
“Uh… Lina-ah, I need to go with Arron,” Jiro said and followed as well.
Selina didn’t care. She was staring at the LV shopping bag.
She looked up at Hebe and said, “Can I have it?”
Hebe snapped out of her thoughts. “Uhh… sure.” She handed her the shopping bag. Selina jumped of joy and kept saying ‘at last’ while Ella repeated in her mind the word ‘mouse-like’.
“Hebe,” Ella said. “Do I look like a mouse?”
Hebe laughed. “Sometimes.”
“Really?” She said, surprised.
“You know,” Selina butted in and said the most out-of-topic-sentence. “That Rainie… sure is strange. She acted all bad earlier. Now, she acted like you’ve known her for years.”
“I’ve only known her yesterday,” Hebe explained.
Ella nodded. “Hmmm… she and Arron do make a good couple.”
“She looks little for a college student. That must be one of the things Arron like about her,” Selina said with a smile.
“Here’s your frappes,” the waiter said and left.
Ella took a sip and said, “The other guy acts a lot like Calvin though,” she said.
“I agree,” Selina said.
Hebe was silent about that. She was feeling pissed off at Arron and can’t explain why.
“Arron seems strange though… like Hebe,” Ella said and looked at Hebe.
Selina suddenly thought of something and whispered to Ella.
“I think he likes Hebe.”
Ella was shocked. “How can you say?”
“He was pissed off at Mike, remember?”
“Yes,” Ella said and agreed.
“Why isn’t Hebe speaking?” whispered Ella.
Selina smiled sheepishly. “Maybe, jealous of Rainie.”
“I hate that guy,” Hebe said as she took a sip of her frappe.
“Are you sure? He’s kinda cute. Do you know that?” Selina said and grinned at Hebe.
Hebe rolled her eyes. “Oh please. With his pride? Na-ah. I don’t think so.”
“I agree with her Hebs plus I think he has a soft spot somewhere.” Ella said.
“A soft spot? He’s hard as rock. And a total playboy… no way.” Hebe said and furrowed her brow.
“Geez. You’re really mad at him aren’t you?” Selina asked and took out her phone.
“Isn’t it obvious?” Hebe asked with a smug.
“Totally obvious.” Ella said and smiled sheepishly.
Unknown to Hebe, Selina turned on the recorder on her phone.
“Then swear that you will not like him for any reason.” Selina smiled.
Hebe let go of her frappe and raised her right hand. “Yeah you’re right about that. I, Hebe Tian Fu Zhen, will not fall for his charms. I will not like him for any reason. I will only loathe and despise him to my guts.”
“Great.” Selina said and showed her cellphone to Hebe. “Got it on tape.”
“What the--- Selina Ren Jia Xuan! What is wrong with you?”
“What? You sweared, right? We should have evidence.” Selina grinned evilly.
“Argh,” Hebe suddenly calmed down, “Right… I don’t regret you getting that on tape… because it will not be broken for any reason.”
Selina and Ella laughed. “I don’t think so. With him chasing you and showing off. You’ll probably fall for his CHARMS? Is that what his crazy fans call his disease- according to you?” Selina teased.
“You’ll see.” Hebe said and finished her frappe.
‘Hebe Tian, one day you’ll eat your words.’ Selina thought and grinned.
“Wait a second,” Ella said and disturbed Selina’s thoughts. “Arron’s a playboy?”
“Heck. Yea,” Selina said in a bored tone.
“He’s chasing me and showing off?” Hebe said in another questioning tone.
Selina grinned and explained, “Somewhat like that.”
‘Are they stupid or it really isn’t obvious?’ thought Selina and took a sip of her frappe.
“It really isn’t obvious,” Ella and Hebe said at the same time as if reading Selina’s mind.
