It was Monday and there were only 5 days left before the awaited day. Everyone was getting hyped-up for the event. Different clubs were busy preparing their stalls and as for the chosen performers, their practices have been much tighter than before.
“Hebe?” Selina asked as she looked at her friend. “Are you okay? You don’t seem well.” Hebe snapped out of her tranquil thoughts and gave her an assuring smile, followed by a reply, “Hm-hm. I’m alright. I just didn’t sleep well yesterday. Damn homeworks.” She looked around and asked, “Where’s Genie and Ella?”
“Probably in their clubs... It sure is tough to be an officer. Well, they’re excused from class. I so envy them,” Seina said as they both laughed. As soon as their laugh diminished, Hebe’s face turned blank. She sighed quietly and looked at the sky outside.
‘I hope Arron did not literally meant what he said about disappearing,’ she thought.

“Hey Cousin.”
Rainie greeted Arron as she and Danson stood in front of the school entrance. Arron sighed and walked towards them. He glared at her, pissed.
“I have no time to play these silly games anymore,” he said as he gave Rainie a serious look. This was the first time Rainie had seen his cousin act like that.
“I know.” Rainie voice started to change – from mocking to serious. “I know alright? But, please don’t act like this. It hurts me to see you become like this. Moreover, it will hurt Hebe,” she explained.
“Why will it hurt her? She doesn’t even like me. How will it a girl who is going to be happy for the rest of her life if I disappear be hurt if I act like this?” He hissed. Pain was visible in his tone.
Rainie looked at him. “Trust me. She will be. Act like your usual self. Or else everyone will notice that’s something’s wrong,” she warned. She stepped inside the school. Danson fixed his glasses and gave his words, “I agree with Rainie. Make the most out of these remaining days, Arron.”
He disappeared, following Rainie. Arron was left with his thoughts jumbled up again. “I will make the most out of this,” he said to himself.

“Good morning class! I am Genie Zhou, vice president of the book club! This coming Friday, we are going to set up a stall that sells all kinds of music books! So if you’re one of those music enthusiasts looking for new musical pieces or just a plain student, you’re sure to find great collections that you will treasure for a lifetime!” She said cheerfully.
Everyone in the class stared at her wide-eyed. Genie was usually the quiet girl who sits at the corner, reading some novel with intricate words. She was never this active but when it comes to club activities she surely changes.
“Genie’s quite a shocker to begin with,” Selina commented as Calvin just laughed at his seatmate. On the other hand, Hebe was looking at the chair beside hers. It was empty. She sighed as she looked at the front.
“Eeek! I already took this long?! I have to go! Remember, book club stall! Be there!” Genie rushed outside the room as she ran for it.
Mrs. Yu just shook her head and smiled. Today, the first three periods are going to be used as club endorsement stuffs. She waited for this day to come to relieve her stress.
“Next club please!” She said.
Ella came in the door with a bandana on her head matched with a volleyball outfit and a flag that says ‘Musicall Volleyball’. Well, that was weird.
“Volleyball team! I am Ella Chen, the president. We are organizing a volleyball game.” She made a stop sign and continued, “But I warn you. This isn’t the usual volleyball game you will see. We added a little bit of musical thingy to match it with the music festival. So I encourage you to watch and be amazed!” She said as the class clapped and cheered. Students have always liked the volleyball club and its activities. They were always successful.
“That’s the way to go, Club President!” Selina cheered.
Arron entered the room and was about to head to his seat when Mrs. Yu spoke, “Where have you been, Mr. Yan?” she asked.
“I woke up early. Sorry,” he answered.
“Okay. You’re lucky we have this club endorsement for the first three periods or else I might have given you detention,” she warned.
Arron just smirked and sat down his chair. Hebe was relieved to see Arron there. She noticed the tension inside the room grow. She looked over in front and saw Jiro looking at Arron worriedly. She looked back at Arron and saw him looking at her.
“What?” she asked in a low tone.
Arron smirked. “Nothing. You seem relieved... missed me?” he teased.
Hebe was surprised and she swears that her heart skipped a beat. “WHAT?! NO WAY!” she shouted as she stood up. Everyone in class turned their heads to look at her.
Mrs. Yu glared at her as she fixed her glasses. “Ms. Tian, be quiet!”
Hebe sat down, embarrassed, with her head down. She glowered at Arron and hissed, “This is all your fault.”
Arron just stuck out his tongue and smirked. Hebe was in disbelief. They were pretty much on good terms yesterday but suddenly Arron acts like this again.
Arron turned his head towards the window and his smirk vanished and was replaced by a straight face. He sighed. He may be acting all bratty and like the old times but he’s still in pain. But when he saw Hebe’s face with that relieved expression of seeing him, he felt his burden lighten.
