The other guys found a seat near the fountain in the mall, as they waited for you and Junsu to return.
“Do you think ~~~~~ ah would want a donut? Do you think she’s a donut girl?” Yoochun asked, Jaejoong sighed irritated.
“Why are you still talking about her?” he asked Yoochun agitated. Yoochun shrugged.
“I don’t know, she’s just nice and different”
“Yeah she’s different because she’s a freak” Jaejoong said unkindly. Yoochun slightly winced.
“Hyung that’s not what I meant, I mean she’s not like those girls. She’s not hanging on our every word, or begging at our feet. You can actually have a conversation with her, and she gives us time to talk too” Jaejoong considered that for a moment. He did notice your difference from other girls, the way you treated them was nothing special, what he and the guys had been craving for ever since they started school. To be treated like normal people. *Yoochun’s right, she actually cares what we have to say and think* Jaejoong thought.
“Yeah besides, she’s got nice eyes” Changmin added, Jaejoong’s head whipped in Changmin’s direction. A major turn on for Changmin is girls with gorgeous eyes, Jaejoong didn’t like the idea of Changmin liking you like that. He didn’t like it at all.
“Yeah if she takes those glasses off she wouldn’t look so bad” Yunho said.
“What’s wrong with her glasses?” Jaejoong asked suddenly. The guys gaped at him, he had realized what he had just said and quickly back tracked. “I-I mean what’s right with them, pfft” but it was too late Yoochun was smiling.
“Hyung do I smell something…” he was sniffing dramatically “I smell…love!” he jeered childishly, Jaejoong pushed him.
“Yah why would I fall in love with a nerd! I don’t like girls, let alone fall in love with a girl. They’re so predictable and annoying and fake, and they never leave you alone. They’re practically stalkers”
“Jaejoong ah, you just described Jessica. Not every girl in the world is like that, especially ~~~~ ah. We invited her to come, she didn’t invite herself” Yunho pointed out.
“He’s right hyung, ~~~~~ ah seems like a nice girl. Why don’t you try to be nicer to her” Changmin advised.
“I would if she’s nice first” Jaejoong grumbled.
“So you admit you do want to be nice to her?” Changmin wiggled his eyebrows.
“No!”
“You know I think you only argue with her, because you want to be close to her and have a reason to talk to her” Yoochun said thoughtfully, Jaejoong gulped and shook his head. *Crap! He’s right about me liking our arguments, and Changmin’s right. ~~~~ ah’s got nice eyes. Whoa! Jaejoong! You can’t, she’s a nerd and you’re a Kingka. Get a hold of yourself* he told himself over and over.
“We’re back” Junsu announced, you were trailing behind him. A straw in your mouth, your eyes blinking a lot, you looked cute and innocent. Jaejoong tried to keep his eyes off of you, looking at anything, anything but you. *Is he avoiding me? Is he that offended I called him a Baboon?* you asked yourself. Suddenly you had a mini brain wave.
“I’ll be right back” you said then happily skipped off. The guys’ eyes followed you, till you disappeared into the crowd.
“Where is she going?” Junsu asked.
“I don’t know we’ll wait for her here” Yunho said. 3 minutes later you had come back, with another smoothie in your hands. You walked straight to Jaejoong and held it out to him.
“Here you go” you trilled in a sing song voice, he gave you a funny look. “What?” you asked getting self conscious.
“What have you done to it?” he asked cautiously. Your nose scrunched up in confusion.
“Eh?”
“Did you poison it? Spit in it? What?” he asked, you were surprised he’d even ask you something like that. Then you remembered that the two of you weren’t exactly the best of friends.
“No! Why would I, I got you a drink because you looked like you just saw a Global Warming documentary”
“A what?” he asked.
“A Global Warming documentary, they make me so depressed that I would look like you just now. So I thought you needed cheering up” he gazed at you with a look of awe and shock. “Oh yeah I didn’t know what flavour smoothie you like, so I got you mine” you said embarrassed. He shook his head pulling himself out of his thoughts.
“No it’s fine, actually it’s my favourite flavour too” you smiled at him, causing butterflies to flutter in his stomach.
“That’s good” you were still holding the smoothie, and it soon became awkward. You cleared your throat “urmm Jaejoong ssi”
“Oh yeah uhh, urmm thank you” he took it out of your hands and took a sip. The guys were smirking as they watched the both of you.
*God why do I act like an idiot around her! Stupid heart, slow the hell down!* he felt like thumping his chest, trying to order his heart to slow down. To beat its normal rate but whenever you smiled, laughed and looked at him. It seemed to beat a hell of a lot faster.
