Prologue:

Little Jaejoong was standing infront of his father’s sword shelf, staring intently through the glass shield, blocking him off from any access of the swords. He could see his reflection staring back at him.

-“Do you hear that Joongie? He’s mocking you.” He heard a voice in his head tell him. “He doesn’t think you can beat him.” The voice told Jaejoong. Jaejoong adverted his attention to the television. A program was on, where two samurais were ready to battle each other. He could see one of the samurai pointing and laughing straight at him. Jaejoong, confused, pointed to himself as if to question the samurai, if it was him that the samurai was laughing at. To his surprise, the samurai nodded a yes, taking his sword and pointing it towards Jaejoong.

-“You see Joongie. He’s making a fool of you. We don’t want that right?” The voice asked Jaejoong. ‘No.’ Jaejoong answered in his head, walking back to the sword shelf. ‘How will I get through the glass?’ Jaejoong questioned the voice. “Look at yourself Jaejoong. You’re a person with amazing super powers. You even have a cape.” He heard a second voice tell him. “But, wouldn't you rather use those powers to ignore the guy in the television?” The third voice asked. Jaejoong just looked at his reflection, noticing that he now had a cape drapped over his shoulders.

-“Joongie, don’t listen to that idiot of a voice. If you have powers, use them to defeat that samurai! Don’t let him beat you!” The first voice argued. Jaejoong nodded in agreement. ‘I won’t let him win.’ Jaejoong raised his fist towards the glass. “Now wait this one second mister!” A third voice appeared. “Don’t you think about smashing your hand onto that glass! Think about what you’re about to do. I know I am nothing more, but a voice in your head. But, I am the more reasonable one and you’ll end up hurting yourself. The guy in the television is not mocking you. Don’t listen to the first voice. You have no super powers neither. So don’t listen to the second voice as well.” The third voice rambled on. Jaejoong just stood there as the three voices began arguing amongst themselves within his head. ‘Can on of you please tell me what I should do?!’ Jaejoong yelled in his head.

Glass shattering could be heard throughout the house. Looking up from his work, the father quickly dashed out of his office to see what caused that noise.

-“Honey!! Come here quick!” The husband called for his wife. Jaejoong’s mother ran into the living room, dropping the spoon in her hand. “Oh my god! Jaejoong! What happened here?” His mother rushed to his side. Jaejoong’s hand was covered in blood; his arms scratched with pieces of glass sticking out. His father had came in to find him beating the television with on of his swords.

-“How did you get my sword? What is the meaning of this?” The father asked Jaejoong. Jaejoong just stared at his father. “Jaejoong. Answer me please.”

-“Joongie. Don’t let him talk to you like that. Don’t you find that insulting on your behalf?” The first voice questioned. “Look at him. His red eyes and scaly skin. He just there to hurt you. Not help you.” The first voiced told Jaejoong. Jaejoong looked at his father to see what the voice was talking about. He saw it. The red eyes. Scaly skin. “You have to beat him too.” The first voice hinted Jaejoong. “Jaejoong...he’s not a monster.” The second voice interupted. “He’s gentle..like a horse..” Jaejoong blinked twice before he saw a horses head infront of him.

-“Ahhhh!!!” Jaejoong screamed, raising the sword at his father.

-“Jaejoong!! No!!” He heard his parents yell.

-“Mr. Kim. Mrs. Kim.” The psychologist bowed before the parents.

-“So..is it serious Dr.? The father asked, rubbing his arm. Luckily, he took the sword out of Jaejoong’s grasp before his own 6year old son attacked him. He kept rubbing his arm subconsciously; just the thought worried him. The psychologist sighed before explaining to the parents that Jaejoong was developing a case of schizophrenia.

-“How long would he have to be hospitalized?” The mother asked with tears in her eyes. Her husband pulled her into his arms. “I’m afraid he’ll have to stay for as long as the institute feels. I’m guessing he’ll be there for the rest of his childhood; most likely into young adult hood. The parents both bowed before the psychologist before exiting the office, leaving Jaejoong with the doctors who were soon to take him to the mental institute.

-“Honey...” The husband called his wife.

-“Hm?” His wife asked.

-“Did you ever attack your father at that age?” The husband asked. The wife pulled herself away to look at her husband with disbelief. “What kind of question is that?” The wife asked. Her husband shrugged. “I don’t know..I was thinking that maybe he probably learned that from you. But, don’t mind that question.” The husband tried to bring himself closer to his wife, but she pushed him away.

-“You were the one who knew swordsmanship!! Maybe he learned the attack from you!! You crazy old fool!!” The wife walked off mumbling to herself. “HowDareHeAccuseMeOfNonsense.....HeCanSleepInTheCarTonight...”

-“Do you like the fresh breath of air Jae?” The second voice asked.Jaejoong had left from the care of the institution today. “The gentle touch as it slowly caresses you face...” The second voice giggled as Jaejoong saw five fingers go across his cheek. He smacked himself from fright. A few people walked by, giving him funny looks. Jaejoong just pulled his hood over his head, not to have any unnecessary eye contact with anyone.

-“You see Joongie? Those people don’t like you. That is why you need to keep away from them.” The first voice informed him. “They are all out to get you.”

-“Don’t listen to him! They’re most likely scared of you, not the other way around!” The second voice retorted. “The both of you, stop confusing the boy with such stupidity.” The third voice sneered. Jaejoong just squinted at the loudness inside his head as he tried to find his way home.

-“Looks like your parents didn't want anything to do with you Joongie. But, oh well, you have me.” The first voice chimed. ‘Where do I live now?’ Jaejoong asked the voice as he walked away from his former home. It felt as if he was walking for quite some time when he came to a complete stop. “Look Jae!! It’s a mansion!! And no one lives there!!” The second voice squealed in delight as Jaejoong opened what he thought was a gate (which it was really a old car door). He walked towards to what he thought was the stairs, which was really just a pile of garbage. ‘This is nice...’ He said in his head as he climbed into bed.

-“Jaejoong. Get up. You’re sleeping on a pile of garbage.” The third voice tugged at Jaejoong’s ear. Jaejoong didn’t respond. He had drifted to sleep. “What’s the point...he’s not going to listen to me. He’ll just listen to twittle dumb and twittle dumber..” The third voice mumbled. “Hey!!” The other two voices protested at the comment made. Jaejoong just snuggled up to a soda bottle, thinking it was a teddy bear.
