Chapter2

-“You go now let me!!” Jaejoong kept screaming. Yunho had finally made it to his apartment. “Can you please lower your voice?” Yunho whispered as he fished for his keys. ‘Ah ha! There they are....’ Yunho was about to turn the knob, when he heard a voice behind him.

-“Is everything alright here?”

-“Huh??” Yunho turned around to see his landlord standing there, looking at him suspiciously. He didn’t notice he had caused Jaejoong to hit his head against the door when he turned. “Oh my god, I’m so sorry!” Yunho quickly set Jaejoong down.

-“Who is this here?” The landlord pointed a finger at Jaejoong. Jaejoong, taking a look at the lady before him, dashed behind Yunho. “He’s a shy one now isn’t he?” The landlord attempted to get closer. “Would you like to introduce yourself to me?” She asked Jaejoong.

**

-“Tell her who you are Jae. She’s old enough to be your great-grandmother. Introducing yourself won’t do you any harm.” Junsu whispered.

-“Hero.” Jaejoong spoke, not moving from behind Yunho. “Hero, as in DBSK Hero?” The landlord clapped her hands in excitement. “Oh joy! You may not know this...But, I’m your biggest and probably oldest fan! Can I have your autograph?” She asked, searching for a pen and paper.

**

-“Um...Mrs. Lee, he needs his rest. If you could just leave us alone please.” Yunho tried his best to find a way to excuse them. “Oh, nonsense! Hero always has time for his fans! Now, I don’t have paper…maybe if you can sign my arm?” She held her arm out, waiting for Jaejoong to sign.

**

-“This lady doesn’t notice that this is not Hero? She must be really old.” Changmin mumbled. ‘What do I do? How do I sign?’ Jaejoong asked them. “I’ll tell you what to write...” Yoochun giggled to himself.

Jaejoong slowly came out from behind Yunho and took the pen into his hand. He began to scribble something onto her arm. When he finished, he quickly ran into Yunho’s apartment. As soon as he was out of sight, she took a look at what he had written.

**

-‘You smell like prunes.’ The landlord read out loud. She looked up to Yunho with annoyance. “Prunes? I smell like prunes? What is this, some type of joke?” She asked.

-“Uh, well you see…Good night Mrs. Lee!!” Yunho went into his apartment and slammed the door. “Aisha..Jaejoong?” Yunho called for the other. He found Jaejoong walking back and forth between rooms. ‘He must be fascinated by how my apartment looks....’ He thought to himself. “Do you like it?” He asked Jaejoong. He watched as Jaejoong walked over to his book shelf, running his hand over it. What Jaejoong did next...left Yunho confused. Jaejoong took the bookshelf and tipped it over, knocking everything to the floor. Jaejoong then made his way to the couch, tearing the cushions open with his hands. “What in the world are you doing?!” Yunho ran, trying to pull Jaejoong away.

**

-“Why does he need to interfere into your work? Make him buzz off!” Yoochun ordered Jaejoong. “Jaejoong, you’re trashing his apartment! That’s no way to behave as a welcomed guest!” Changmin shouted. Jaejoong dropped the cushion at Changmin’s words. “You’re finally listening to me? I mean, good Jaejoong…Set the cushion down and apologize to...”

-“His place is filthy! You can’t stay here unless you clean it up!” Yoochun interrupted Changmin. “Oh, but make sure to ask Yunho to help you.” Junsu added. Jaejoong nodded as he released himself of Yunho’s arms and ran into Yunho’s room. “I almost had him!!” Changmin wailed. “Well almost isn’t good enough. Try harder next time.” Junsu told Changmin. “I am making this promise. Once I develop my own hands, I’m going to strangle the both of you.” Changmin warned.

-“You think we are scared of you? You’re just a voice.” Yoochun retorted, trying to use Changmin’s words back at him. “Yoochun, I can intimidate you, with just my voice. I know when you are slightly scared of me; such as, for instance, just now I heard a bit of shaking in your voice.” Changmin pointed out, leaving Yoochun to become silent. “Exactly.” Changmin’s voice was full of satisfaction, knowing he succeeded in shutting the other voice up.

-“Can’t we just all get along?”

-“Shut up Junsu.”

-“Ok.”

**

-“Jaejoong!! Calm down!! You’re messing up my things!!” Yunho shouted, as he ran after Jaejoong. Jaejoong was occupying himself with tossing things around his room, throwing clothes, pushing the mattress off of the bed. “Clean I do.” Jaejoong explained, tearing pages out of textbooks. “Not those! Those are for school!” Yunho snatched the textbooks from Jaejoong. Jaejoong snapped his head at Yunho. ‘There’s no expression what so ever....’ Yunho took into observation as he observed Jaejoong’s face. ‘And yet, it’s so beautiful...No wait he’s trashing my apartment! What am I doing talking about his looks?’ Yunho scolded himself. Yunho quickly launched himself onto Jaejoong.

-“AHHHHHHHH!!!!” Jaejoong screamed, squirming in Yunho’s arms. “Stay still, please!” Yunho commanded, not forgetting to be polite to the other, as if it was necessary. ‘Why did I say please? He’s the one being rude here. Why is he behaving this way?’ Yunho asked himself as his grip on Jaejoong became tighter.

**

-“Joongie! He’s hurting you! Fight back!” Yoochun ordered. “I’m not even going to try to talk you out of it. It isn’t like you’ll listen to me anyway. I don’t exist.” Changmin said to himself. Jaejoong opened his mouth and bit down on Yunho’s arm.

**

-“Ah! What was that for?! What is wrong with you?” Yunho pushed Jaejoong, causing him to land harshly against the wall. Yunho watched carefully to see if there were any signs of pain in Jaejoong’s eyes. There was none at all. The same empty eyes were staring back at him. Still, no expression.

**

-‘Ow..Why did he do that for?’ Jaejoong asked. “Hmm…Lets see..Maybe because, I don’t know, you bit him?” Changmin asked sarcastically. “Look Jaejoong, he’s crying now.” Junsu whispered. “Make him feel better. He wants a hug.” Jaejoong picked himself up and made his way to Yunho.

**

-“Sorry I am.” Jaejoong mumbled as he went and gave Yunho a hug. “Cry don’t, okay?” Jaejoong rocked Yunho in his arms as if he was rocking a child. “Who said I was crying? Why did you bite me?” Yunho asked. Jaejoong released Yunho, taking his arm. He closely examined the bite mark. Blood was oozing out of the wound. “Better I’ll you make.” Jaejoong ran out of the room. “Where are you going now?” Yunho asked.

**

-“The alcohol, it should be in the medicine cabinet.” Changmin informed Jaejoong. “No it isn’t. Who puts alcohol in a medicine cabinet?” Yoochun asked. “Good question, you idiot. Normal people, with common sense put alcohol in a medicine cabinet. Either there, or a first aid kit.” Changmin explained an obvious answer. “The kitchen, Jae!! Go to the kitchen!” Junsu told Jaejoong. Jaejoong ran into the kitchen, opening the bottom cabinet to take out a bottle of vinegar. “It’s boo-boo be gone!” Junsu exclaimed. “Boo-boo be gone? Okay, I don’t even want to know.” Changmin voiced. Jaejoong ran back into the room. He grabbed Yunho’s arm. “Pour all of it on the wound. If you don’t, then you’ll catch a disease because he has germs.” Yoochun told Jaejoong. “Jaejoong, everyone has germs. And for once, Yoochun here might be on to something. I somewhat agree. Whatever you do, do not touch is blood.” Changmin instructed Jaejoong. ‘Why can’t I touch his blood? Will I die?’ Jaejoong asked. “just pour it!” Yoochun shouted. Jaejoong unscrewed the cap and poured the vinegar onto the bite mark.

**

-“Ow! What are you using?” Yunho pulled his arm away. He grabbed the bottle out of Jaejoong’s hand. “Vinegar?” Jaejoong shook his head slightly. “Boo-boo be gone.” Jaejoong told Yunho. Yunho gave Jaejoong a funny look. “Boo-boo be what?? This is vinegar. You don’t use vinegar to clean a wound. You use alcohol. Vinegar is for seasoning and cooking.” Yunho tried to explain. Jaejoong tore a piece of Yunho’s shirt and was about to tie it around the bite mark.

**

-“Oh…Look Jae, it’s so pretty! It’s a nice ruby color!” Junsu was talking about the blood. Jaejoong leaned closer to the bite wound and poked it. “Don’t do that!” Yunho shouted. Jaejoong took the piece of cloth and wrapped it around Yunho’s arm. “Now, a kiss to make it better.” Jaejoong did what Junsu said and placed a light peck on Yunho’s arm. “Joongie! Look! Your hand!” Yoochun caused Jaejoong to lift up his hand to see a large army of ants crawling on his hand, onto his arm. “You see? Why did you touch his blood? Look at what he gave you!” Jaejoong began to shake, scratching at his arm. “Jaejoong, there is nothing on your arm. All you have to do is wash your hands.” Changmin tried to keep Jaejoong from over-reacting.

**

-“Are you okay? Why are you scratching like that? Are you cold? You’re shivering.” Yunho took hold of Jaejoong’s wrist. “Your pulse seems to be fine.. Maybe you are cold.” Yunho concluded. Then he saw the band on Jaejoong’s wrist. Not realizing it before, when he had checked it, he noticed that it had the word ‘patient’ on it. He turned the band around to read that it said ‘patient diagnosed with schizophrenia.’ “What did I get myself into now?” Yunho asked himself outloud. ‘But, this should be interesting and since I am studying psychology, maybe I can help him.’ Yunho considered the thought. He noticed that Jaejoong had drifted into sleep, still shivering. Yunho lifted Jaejoong up and placed him carefully onto the mattress, covering him up with a blanket. “I’ll just sleep in the livingroom. Goodnight.” Yunho closed the door behind him.

**

-“Ah!! The walls are closing up on me!!” Junsu cried. “There are no walls! What is wrong with you?” Changmin asked Junsu. “I’m scared of the dark. I think I’m going blind.” Junsu replied. Yoochun just laughed. “The walls are closing on you.”

-“Don’t tell him that!” Changmin shouted. “There are no walls. And how can you be going blind? You have no eyes. You’re just a voice. Jaejoong’s eyes are our eyes. He’s sleeping. We were always surrounded by darkness. I mean, after all, we are in Jaejoong’s head.” Changmin tried to provide a reasonable explanation for Junsu. “Oh..Okay. Well then, goodnight!” Junsu chirped. “How did I end up in this head again?” Changmin cursed himself.
