It was YoungBae. He walked into the room. JiYong and SeungHyun stepped away from me and YoungBae lifted me off the bed bride style. He carried me into our room and set me on the bed. He sat down next to me and hugged my waist.
MiYoung: "Yes?"
YoungBae: "Are you okay?"
MiYoung: "Yeah. I'm fine."
YoungBae: "Then smile. It makes me sad to see you sad."
I still couldn't smile.
MiYoung: "Why are you dressed like you're going to a club?"
YoungBae: "That's because I am."
MiYoung: "Can I come with you?"
YoungBae: "You look tired. Stay home. I'll be back by 1am or earlier."
He kissed me on the cheek and left the room. I wasn't tired! I'm just too lazy to get ready. I wonder why YoungBae would be going to a club by himself.
I leave the room after 10 minutes of thinking. JiYong was gone.
I go to DongWook who was on the couch watching reruns of old shows. He turned the television off when I sat next to him.
DongWook: "JiYong went with YoungBae to the club to keep an eye on him."
MiYoung: "Did JiYong say why he left?"
DongWook: "He wants to make sure he doesn't cheat on you."
MiYoung: "But he got on his knees and cried for me."
DongWook: "He could do anything and make you believe it. Anything is possible."
MiYoung: "I wish I was there."
DongWook: "JiYong knew you would want to come and see too but he told me to keep you at home."
MiYoung: "Everyone's busy! Nothing to do!"
(DongWook's POV)
MiYoung's even cute when she's yelling. I know she's yelling for a joke, trying to get the others attention.
DongWook: "Want to bake something?"
MiYoung: "Sure."
I help her up and we go into the kitchen.
We decide to make brownies since MiYoung said that's what she wanted. DaeSung came out to help since he like chocolate.
MiYoung mixed everything and decorated the brownies before we put them in the oven. DaeSung put on some music from MiYoung's iPod. First song that came on was my song 'La La La'. MiYoung started singing along as soon as my voice was heard. DaeSung and I start singing along too.
MiYoung kept a close eye on the oven. She took them out at a good time and DaeSung cut them into little squares. MiYoung tasted it and gave a thumbs up. DaeSung called SeungRi to the kitchen as MiYoung fed me a brownie.
DongWook: "Really good! We should bake together more often."
MiYoung: "But you're leaving for the states next week."
DongWook: "I could always visit during my free time. If I don't have free time, I'll make sure we still talk."
She hugged me and continued to eat brownies. She fed one to DaeSung and SeungRi. They were enjoying the brownies too. MiYoung checked her watch and said it was almost 11pm.
We finished the brownies and MiYoung cleaned up. I stayed to help her.
She walked to her room and I followed her.
DongWook: "You okay in a room by yourself?"
MiYoung: "I have no choice."
DongWook: "Stay in JiYong's bed."
MiYoung: "I'll be right there."
I went to JiYong's room and waited for MiYoung. She came in 5 minutes later, wearing a purple tee shirt and blue boyshorts. Same colors as her hair. She slid under the covers on JiYong's bed and fell asleep. I kissed her forehead before going to my own bed.
(TWO HOURS LATER)
I hear the bedroom door open. I sat up and saw JiYong.
JiYong: "Trouble sleeping?"
DongWook: "A bit. Anything happen with YoungBae?"
JiYong: "He was hanging out with EunHye. He wouldn't leave her alone."
DongWook: "Did he try anything on her?"
JiYong: "He kept trying to kiss her but she kept pushing him away, saying that he should be kissing MiYoung. I think he was drunk because there were sometimes when I didn't see him at all."
DongWook: "Did you do anything with EunHye?"
JiYong: "I tryed to hide her from YoungBae. She ended up leaving early."
DongWook: "Why would he do that? She's MiYoung little sister."
JiYong: "Not just that. MiYoung and YoungBae are supposedly dating. I don't know. They didn't say much about it."
DongWook: "Where's YoungBae?"
JiYong: "Looking for MiYoung."
DongWook: "Why? She's in your bed."
JiYong turned around and saw MiYoung's outline under the covers.
JiYong: "Why is she here?"
DongWook: "She didn't want to sleep in a room by herself."
YoungBae walked into JiYong's room. He looked a bit drunk but his words didn't slur.
YoungBae: "Who put her here?"
DongWook: "She came here herself. No one forced her."
He was about to lift her up but JiYong stopped him.
JiYong: "You're drunk. Leave her here or you're going to drop her."
YoungBae gave her a kiss on the forehead before leaving and closing the door.
(MiYoung's POV)
I woke up when JiYong walked in but pretended I was sleeping.
Did YoungBae really try kissing my sister? I hope he doesn't get his hands on my cousins too.
YoungBae doesn't seem like the same person I met when I first came to Korea two months. He used to be shy and sweet. Afraid to hurt me or make me angry. The good old days were gone.
JiYong gets ready to go to sleep and slips under the covers next to me. He hugged me as he fell asleep. Luckily he didn't smell like alcohol so I fell asleep easily.
(NEXT MORNING)
(YoungBae's POV)
Where's MiYoung? Oh yeah, she's with JiYong. I don't need to worry because I'm probably going to lose her. No point of trying to hold on.
Still, a part of me wanted to keep her with me forever. She wouldn't want me if I cheated on her. I sort of did last night.
MiYoung walked in and went to the bathroom to take a shower. I sit up in bed and wait for her to come out. In ten minutes, she came out in a navy sundress. It went to the top of her knee. It looked brand new and cute. I never saw her in a dress. She walked out without looking at me. I was right. She's gone with my heart.
