MiYoung stands up straight again.
Beatrice: "Are you okay?"
I know that was a stupid question. Her face was all red. She didn't answer me as she started to slump down to the floor. I caught her just in time and carry her into the kitchen.
Why did she pass out already? I hope she and the twins are alright.
EunHye and SeulMi see MiYoung and help her onto the couch.
SeulMi: "What happened?"
Beatrice: "She had a contraction and passed out."
EunHye reached for the phone and called the hospital.
She was off the phone in 2 minutes.
EunHye: "They're coming."
We just waited. It felt like forever. I checked for her heartbeat. It was very fast. A very bad sign.
I took her wallet and put it in her pocket so they would be able to identify her later on.
(SeulMi's POV)
I don't know why but MiYoung matters more to me than the twins do.
Scratch that, they all matter equally. I want MiYoung and the twins to be alright.
The ambulance arrives 5 minutes later and take her away to the hospital. EunHye lets them know that she has ID on her.
We get into EunHye's car and drive to the hospital. Beatrice called DongWook and put him on speaker when he picked up.
DongWook: "Hello?"
Beatrice: "MiYoung's going to the hospital!"
DongWook: "She went into labor?"
Beatrice: "Don't be stupid! Of course she did!"
DongWook: "Should I get the others? YoungBae's taking a nap."
Beatrice: "Perfect. Don't wake up YoungBae."
DongWook: "He wouldn't want to com anyway."
Beatrice: "He said that?"
DongWook: "Yeah."
EunHye made a quick turn, causing us all to move to the right.
EunHye: "Did you guys have seatbelts on?"
SeulMi checks on me in the back.
SeulMi: "Yes."
EunHye: "Then that wouldn't hurt much."
DongWook: "We'll be right there."
He hung up immediately. We followed the ambulance.
EunHye: "Gah! Why do we have to wait for the light?"
SeulMi: "It's the law."
EunHye: "My sister...I hope she's okay."
SeulMi: "She'll be fine."
EunHye: "How would you know?!?!"
Beatrice: "EunHye. Calm down. Let's just think the best."
They nod in agreement.
(40 MINUTES LATER)
Traffic was HORRIBLE!!! First the lights took forever and then, we couldn't find a parking spot. We finally found a spot after searching the whole driveway.
As we walked into the hospital, I saw the guys coming our way. They run up to us.
DongWook: "Traffic?"
We nod.
JiYong: "Us too."
The hospital wasn't as crowded as the driveway. We asked to see MiYoung but the lady behind the counter said that they were working on her and we had to wait. We didn't bother to fuss with her. It would only make everything worse.
We all sat down in the waiting room. We were too nervous to speak. I sat between SeungRi and DongWook. They started to shake their leg and it was giving me a headache.
I press my hand down on their knees and they stop when I remove my hands.
How long do we have to wait here? I might as well take a nap until we receive some news. I lay my head on SeungRi's shoulder and slowly fall asleep.
(FIVE HOURS LATER)
SeungRi wakes me up when he pokes my forehead. I open my eyes slowly and look up at him.
Beatrice: "What?"
SeungRi: "I think the doctor is going to come out soon so I wanted you to be ready to get up."
Beatrice: "You could have woke me up then!"
SeungRi: "Whatever, grumpy face."
I broke out laughing at the cute face he was making at me. I sit up straight and look at the others. It was only noon so none of them were sleeping. YoungBae didn't come so I was happy.
A doctor came out 1 hour later and asked for EunHye, SeulMi and I.
DongWook: "What about us?"
Doctor: "We can't bring too many people in. Not good for the babies."
DaeSung: "They were born already?!?!"
He nods and escorts us to a room where MiYoung was sleeping. There were two incubators with a swaddled baby in each.
Beatrice: "Can we hold one?"
He nods and leaves the room. I check their tags. The girl was named YuMi. The boy was named...
TaeKyung? She never told us she would name him that. I thought she was going to go with something else but the name sounds good to me.
We didn't want to the babies to catch any germs so we washed our hands at the sink in the room before going near the babies.
I approach YuMi while SeulMi and EunHye watch TaeKyung.
I poke her tiny hand lightly and she holds my finger with a firm grip. When she lets go of my finger, I lift her out slowly and made sure I supported her neck well. I just admired her face. She looked so much like MiYoung with a few features of EunHye's. I guess her sister's genes rubbed onto YuMi. I don't think that would be so bad but most of the facial features were MiYoung's. The eyes, the mouth, the hair line, the face structure.
She had a full head of hair which made her even more special. I just kept on smiling as EunHye walked over to me with TaeKyung in her arms. She starts to whisper to SeulMi and I.
EunHye: "We're going to be aunts!"
Beatrice: "What about our plan?"
EunHye: "I know...Still...Just let me enjoy the moment!"
I look over at TaeKyung. He would probably look more like YoungBae as he grew up. They both had the same jaw line and eyes. This was going to be one of the most attractive men if he looks like YoungBae.
He might look nice but he's pure evil! Maybe he would reform once he doesn't have MiYoung anymore.
SeulMi stood in between us as both babies opened their mouths and yawned at the same time. They were just too cute.
YuMi slowly opened her eyes and looked right at me. I didn't think she would wake up. I thought she would be sleeping for a while.
It doesn't matter now. I just watch as YuMi holds eye contact with me. She was the cutest baby I have ever seen.
I still hold eye contact with her when the door opens.
