He brushes against my arm as he turns and walks back to his seat. I look out the window for a few more seconds before turning around.
YoungBae was sitting on my black leather chair behind the desk.
Elizabeth: "What do you think you're doing?"
YoungBae: "Checking out the view from here. It's pretty nice."
Elizabeth: "Yeah, yeah. Now get up."
He shakes his head. I walk over to him and try to pull him off my chair. He was too strong for me.
Instead, he pulls me onto his lap and wraps his arms around my waist.
Elizabeth: "Let go of me!"
I was sitting sideways on his lap so he leaned his head on my arm.
Elizabeth: "What the hell is wrong with you? Let go of me!"
I think YoungBae and I were the only people on this floor. That must be why no one has passed by the door for a while.
He still hasn't replied to me. He just hugged me tighter. I start to wiggle my way out but I still have no luck.
What if he tries raping me? Oh no, YoungBae doesn't look like the person to do that.
Elizabeth: "I'm going to call the police for sexual harrassment!"
YoungBae: "I'm just hugging you."
Elizabeth: "I barely know you and I feel uncomfortable."
He lets go and I look at him closely. He had a sad look on his face. I was about to touch his cheek but he moves his face away.
Elizabeth: "What now?"
YoungBae: "Nothing."
I was about to get up but I realized that he still had one arm around my waist. I attempt to touch his cheek again but he moves his face away again.
(YoungBae's POV)
For that moment I hugged her, I pictured her as MiYoung. My eyes start to water as I think about MiYoung.
Elizabeth grabbed my chin and turned my face toward her. Now she's really starting to look like MiYoung. It can't be her. It just can't be.
I can see her eyes water too.
YoungBae: "Why are you crying?"
She brushes her hands over her eyes.
Elizabeth: "I'm not crying!"
YoungBae: "Right..."
(Elizabeth's POV)
I've never seen YoungBae so sad before. Is it because of me?
I can't let him know that I still walk this earth. He would kill me for hiding that from him.
I brush the back of my hand across his cheek. His skin was so soft.
YoungBae: "Why are you being nice to me now?"
Elizabeth: "I know something is bothering you. I want to know what it is."
YoungBae: "You're going to laugh at me."
Elizabeth: "I won't. I promise."
YoungBae: "How can I trust you on that?"
Elizabeth: "You could hug me all you want if I laugh. Okay?"
He nods with a small smile on his face. I move a little closer and wait for him to speak.
YoungBae: "I just want my first love back. She took my heart to wherever she is now. No one can find her. I hope she's okay."
Elizabeth: "What's her name?"
YoungBae: "Kwon MiYoung. She probably changed her name by now. Maybe she's married and has more kids. Even if I get to see her just once, I'll feel a lot better. It's been 13 years since we've spoken. I remember the last letter she left me."
He pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to me. I should know what this reads.
YoungBae-
Looks like I beat you to it. You should have saw this coming but you were too busy with revenge.
At least I know I could be chidish and make bad choices but you don't even realize what you do.
You punched me and I didn't do anything back.
You draped yourself over my sister and I forgave you.
You yell at me and I don't have a word to return.
So I thank you for making your mark in my heart and giving me two beautiful children.
Since I still love you, I've decided to give you your wish. You keep YuMi and I keep TaeKyung.
If they are ever to meet in the future, they will know who they are to each other if you like it or not.
We will meet again one day but you will not recognize me.
Don't expect me to want you back after this.
You never loved me anyway so it doesn't matter to either of us.

Now, I'm crying because of what I said. I really hurt him but I still don't want to tell him who I am. I fold up the paper and hand it back to YoungBae.
Elizabeth: "You carry that everywhere with you, don't you?"
He nodded shyly. I pinched his cheek lightly. He reaches out and pinches my cheek. I giggle. A smile spreads across his face.
(YoungBae's POV)
I don't think I've been this close to a woman for a really long time. Maybe I could forget about MiYoung for just this moment.
Elizabeth: "If you see her again, what would you do? Hug? Kiss?"
YoungBae: "I never really thought I would see her again. I just wanted to keep her memory with me."
Elizabeth: "You'll meet her again. Trust me."
I'll trust her on this. If it's a lie, I can't do anything about it.
