HyeSun was sitting in front of her computer, searching for some music to listen to. She settled on 'Disturbia' by Rihanna. Halfway through the song, her phone started to buzz. It was a text from her 14 year old sister, SunKyung.

'Can you meet me by the corner?'

Her sister always sent her texts like this. She turned off her computer and slipped on her hot pink converse sneakers. She grabbed her keys and left her apartment where she lived by herself so she didn't have to listen to her parents fight or her sister trying to stop them from fighting. Her sister earned herself a scar on her neck while trying to stop them fighting recently. She didn't know which of the two hurt her little sister. HyeSun has begged her parents to let SunKyung live with her but they said she was irresponsible. Her parents were the ones who were too irresponsible and stupid to notice that SunKyung wanted to move out too.

She looked to her right. Her sister wasn't there. She turned her head to the left and spotted her sister leaning against the wall with a black hoodie that covered most of her face. As she got closer, she realized it wasn't her sister. This woman showed HyeSun her police badge and SunKyung's scratched-up cellphone. HyeSun had a bad feeling about this.

"What happened? Is my sister alright?" This woman didn't answer her questions and said she has to wait until they got to the police station.

When they got there, HyeSun looked everywhere for her sister but she was no where to be found. The police officer went somewhere in the back.

"Where is my sister?" HyeSun started sweating from being so anxious. The police officer came back with her sister's purse and a small paper bag. She handed them to HyeSun. "What happened?"

"I'm sorry. Your parents and sister passed away last night in a car accident," HyeSun couldn't believe what she was hearing. She didn't want to believe it because she couldn't believe it. She didn't care much about her parents since they didn't love her or her sister. She was sad that her sister's life ended before she could see this world at its full potential. She opened the other paper bag to see her father's watch and her mother's jewelry. Now she missed them since there were good times when they were little. Her tears started and she didn't think they would stop. She just felt like dying at the moment. She thanked the police officer and ran out while clutching her family's belongings close to her chest. Her sight was blurred by tears as she got closer to traffic.

YoungBae was walking down the street while he sipped his soda. He through out the can at the corner trach can before crossing the street. He looked toward the ground with a few glances at what was in front of him. As he got toward the corner, he could hear heavy footsteps run past him. He looked up to see a girl running into traffic. Even if he was a bad lick charm to women, he thought saving her would make a difference. He ran to her and grabbed her waist before she stepped onto the street. He pulled her away as she squirmed and kicked the air with all her strength. He seated her on the bench and sat down next to her. She started yelling.

"Why did you stop me? Why?" It hurt YoungBae to see this woman cry so hard. "I have nothing to live for! Why did you save me?"

"I don't want to see you die," YoungBae was about to let her lean on his shoulder to cry on but she already did. She sniffled as she wiped her tears with the collar of her shirt. They didn't even know each other but YoungBae wanted to get to know her. He forgot about his past for this one moment. "I'm Dong YoungBae."

HyeSun sat up and introduced herself. "Kim HyeSun. Nice to meet you," YoungBae spotted a few things in her lap as they briefly shook hands. HyeSun clutched her sister's belongings close to her body, trying to remember all the good times.

"What happened?" HyeSun was about to speak but her tears started to pour again. YoungBae sensed that she didn't want to say it. So he decided that asking her questions surrounding the situation would be easier. "Did you lose someone close to you?" She nodded. "I know how that feels."

"No you don't! Don't act like you do just to make me feel better! I know how you men think," She was about to get up but he grabbed her wrist gently to let her know that he didn't mean any harm. She sat back down.

"Yes I do," YoungBae felt his body tighten slightly at the thought. "I only had 3 girlfriends in my life. I lost all three."

"How? Did you cheat like every other player on earth?" YoungBae couldn't get angry at her. Everyone assumed he cheated so he was used to it now. It's been 6 months since his latest girlfriend passed away.

"No," He thought he might just break down like everytime he thinks about them. "They passed away," HyeSun's expression started to soften as she absorbed YoungBae's blunt words.

"I...I'm sorry. I didn't know," She looked a little too sorry. She felt bad for being so mean.

"It's okay," YoungBae smiled weakly. "To tell you the truth, I haven't talked to a single woman for 6 months."

"So I'm your first in 6 months?" YoungBae nodded. She smiled. "I guess I should tell you what happened since you've been so honest. My parents and little sister passed away in a car accident."

"I'm sorry. Must be hard without them," said YoungBae sincerly.

"Must be hard for you too. What makes you want to live when you lost the ones you live? You don't know how much I want to kill myself right now," HyeSun made it sound like a joke but YoungBae was serious about this.

"Those who loved you and moved on would want you to move on. I'm slowly learning how to do that," HyeSun smiled at his wise words.

"But 3 girlfriends. How do you live? Do you ever think of them?"

"Everyday. I can never forget them. They meant too much to me," A tear slid down YoungBae's cheek. HyeSun wiped it away with her thumb as she smiled even more.

"I better get going. It was nice meeting you," YoungBae didn't know how happy he made her feel. They stood up at the same time and looked at each other once more before she started to walk away. She didn't know that he lived in the same building as her. He followed her from a safe distance. He liked her but he vowed never to date again. One more girlfriend would mean one more death to him. He didn't want to kill another woman that meant so much to him. He didn't exactly kill them since it was from natural causes that couldn't be explained. It looks like he'll have to hold those feelings for HyeSun until the end of time.
