HyeSun went to her room as YoungBae followed her at a close distance. When she reached her door, she turned around.

"I'm going to take a shower. You can hang out here or go back to your apartment," YoungBae nodded eagerly. She opened her door and stepped in. He stood by the doorway as she collected a few things before going into the bathroom and locking the door. He sat on the edge of her bed and kicked off his sneakers. He took off his sweater since he had a white wife beater under. He placed his sweater on the black leather chair by the desk. He also took off his belt before laying down on her bed. What YoungBae liked most about the bed was that it smelled just like HyeSun. Citrusy. He hid under the covers when he heard the shower off. Soon, the bathroom door opened.

"I wonder where YoungBae could be," He could hear her walking around the bed. The covers were pulled off and there stood HyeSun. "Nice hiding," She stuck her tongue out at him.

"I should get out of your bed. Right?" HyeSun shook her head.

"I'm not going to sleep yet. Rest as much as you like," She took his clothing off her chair and put it in her closet. She sat on her chair and moved it by the bed. She dried her face with the towel as YoungBae watched secretly on the bed. He sat up and turned his body so he faced HyeSun. She put the towel on her lap as she watched YoungBae too. He was just hoping she felt the same way he did about her. That's all he wanted but he was still scared of what might happen if she did.

"Even when you smile, I could still see a little sadness in your expression. Are you sure you told me everything on your mind?" He really did open up to her but there was one thing he didn't tell her. "Does it have to do with women?"

"I feel like a bad luck charm when I date women. Something bad always happens."

"I don't think you're a bad luck charm. You make me feel happier."

"But I'm not dating you," You don't know how bad he wanted to date her.

"Tonight was like a date. Right?" YoungBae didn't know how to answer. Her words made him so happy and excited.

"Yeah. It was," He was daydreaming on what it would be like to have HyeSun in his arms. HyeSun started laughing. "What's so funny?"

"You're always daydreaming. What do you daydream about?" She looked so curious and nosy.

"Stuff," If he told her that he has been daydreaming about her since he first started talking to her.

"You know you can tell me. We already know so much about each other," She was right but he didn't want to tell her just yet.

"It's personal," HyeSun nodded as she started turning in the chair. YoungBae leaned over and stopped the chair. "You're going to make yourself dizzy."

She stopped and looked at YoungBae. Having her eyes on him made YoungBae feel like he was on the top of the world. He checked his watch to see that it was almost midnight. He was really hoping that she would let him stay over. Even if it was just for one night, it's still better than nothing. HyeSun stood up and started walking toward the door.

"Where are you going?" HyeSun turned around and leaned against the door.

"I want something to drink. You want anything?" YoungBae stood up to follow her. HyeSun admired his muscular body as he came closer to her. She opened the door and walked toward the kitchen. YoungBae decided to turn it to a race. When she saw him picking up speed, she quickened her pace too. He was still in the lead. He ended up winning. HyeSun expected him to rub it in her face but he was very mature. She just might like him. That would be YoungBae's dream.

HyeSun grabbed a carton of orange juice from the fridge and two glasses from the cabinet above the counter. She could sense YoungBae's presence very close to her body. She filled both glasses and moved one to the side for YoungBae. He moved to her side and drank the orange juice while she felt his eyes on her. She wondered why he was always staring at her. She thought he might have a weird obsession over her. She didn't even think she was pretty so she wondered why he picked her.

She tossed the thought out of her mind as she drank her orange juice slowly. They finished their drink and placed it on the table at the counter.

"Shouldn't you be going? It's pretty late," HyeSun didn't realize that he wanted to stay with the night.

"But," HyeSun looked deep into his eyes as she waited for his answer. "Don't you get lonely at night?" She shrugged.

She didn't know how to reply.

"Then can I stay over for the night?" HyeSun was a little taken back from his request. She was a little scared that he might do something to her as she slept. She was also scared of what would happen if she said no.

"But I just met you and," YoungBae cut her off.

"You think I'm going to do something to you," HyeSun was starting to get scared since that was her thoughts and he towered over her by a few inches. "I'm not like that. Really. You can ask anyone that knows me. I wouldn't lay a hand on you unless you let me."

"I don't know. I'm still a little scared," She turned her head so she didn't have to look at what he might do since she saw his hand coming toward her. She didn't care what he might do to her. She already lost so much in one day. Losing her life or virginity wouldn't affect her much anymore.

YoungBae grabbed her chin gently and turned it so her face was facing his face. She closed her eyes tightly so she wouldn't have to look.

After a few seconds, she felt something warm touch her lips. She quickly realized it was YoungBae's lips. This kiss made her feel safe. This kiss made her forget what happened earlier today. This kiss that was her first and nothing was going to change that. This kiss just confused her feelings even more.

Before she could return the kiss, he pulled away and left her apartment. She kept her eyes closed to soak in that moment. She opened her eyes after a minute and washed the glasses. When she was done with that, she turned off the lights in the kitchen and went to her room. She locked her bedroom door and turned on her computer. She grabbed YoungBae's sweater and put it on since it was getting a little cold for a September night. She'll never forget September 3. The day she met YoungBae. The day she realized that a man actually has taken interest in her for the first time in her life. The day she lost her family. YoungBae was slowly filling in the spot where her family was in her heart. Their death has made HyeSun's heart hollow. Maybe YoungBae can fill it up slowly. If only she would open up more to him like he has.

(OCTOBER 3)

It's been a month since they met and they haven't seen each other ever since. HyeSun still kept his belt and sweater. She thought he forgot about her after that kiss. Maybe he didn't enjoy it as much as she did. Yes, she did like that kiss a lot. HyeSun was wondering if he found a girlfriend yet. If he did, she thought that must be the luckiest woman in the state of New York.

HyeSun wished she had a picture of him to grasp the memory even better. At least she had some of his clothes to hold that memory.

She started wondering why she hasn't seen YoungBae since that day. She would go to his apartment across the door and knock to see if he was home. She never got an answer. She started to think he moved. HyeSun tried asking the landlord about YoungBae but he was too busy to listen to her.

Her heart hollowed even more when she couldn't get into contact with YoungBae. She thought he hated her for what she had said that night right before he took her first kiss. That is definitely a kiss she will never forget. The kiss made her realize so much.

As she finished her breakfast, the doorbell rang. She placed her fork down on the plate and ran to the door. She looked through the peep hole but didn't see anyone. She opened the door and stuck her head out. No one at all. She was about to close the door when she spotted a white envelope on the ground. She picked it up and shut the door quickly. She sat on the floor with her back against the door as she read the signature on the front. YoungBae.
