Chapter 29

spring-Sunnie&SeungRi

"Yah oppa! Hurry up!" Sunnie called to SeungRi

as they ran to school. He was falling a little behind,

which was a bit embarrasing, considering he was a lot

taller than her. But Sunnie was used to running

fast. "Hurry up? Slow down!" He called to her.

Sunnie sighed as she watched him struggling a little

behind her. She stopped and boldy grabbed his wrist,

and pulled him along with her to run faster.

"Geez oppa, do I have drag you along with me?" She

said. "Sorry." He said as they ran, fearing that they

would be late for school. They lived closeby to each

other and would walk to school every morning, but

SeungRi's alarm clock, had rang late, and Sunnie had

waited outside for awhile, and now they were close

to being late for their first period.

They finally arrived at the front of the school,

and they stopped panting. Sunnie let go of his wrist

nonchalantly. "Are.. we.. late?" He said, gasping.

Sunnie checked the time on her cellphone. "We have

three minutes to get to our first period. "Go!"

She yelled and they both burst through the entrance door

and ran to their first period class, chemistry. They

opened the door, and sat down in their seats, just

as the bell rang. "Phew." They said and high fived

each other. "Mr. Lee and Miss Cho. Please do not run

in here like that and please get here earlier next time."

Their teacher advised them. "Neh." They said, but

smiled at their accomplishment of getting their

in time.

Later on that day, they were at P.E. class. They'd

just finished their half mile run, and were now

being assigned teams. "Cho HyeSun, Lee SeungRi,

Kim Yooli, Lee JaeJin, Kim KiBum, Kwon Yuri your

on the opposite of the net next to the field.

SeungRi and Sunnie high-fived. "Oh no. They're going

to kill us." One guy said, knowing Sunnie played

very well. "Jung SooRi, Lee Shin Hye, Song JiSoo,

Kim Donghwan, Lee Jinki you're on the side of the net

by the fence." Their p.e. teacher told them.

They all divided up into their groups. The teacher

blew the whistle and they started their game.

Jinki bumped the ball over the net, and Yuri bumped

it back, and then ShinHye bumped it, and then KiBum

bumped it back, Donghwan bumped it, and then

Sunnie spiked the ball, it sailed over the net,

and the opposite team tried to hit it back, but

ended up bumping into each other and dropping the

ball. "Oww." They said. The P.e. teacher sighed.

"Woops." Sunnie said. SeungRi and Sunnie's team

beat the other team 4-1. "Good job Mr. Lee and

Miss Cho's team." "Mr. Kim try harder next time."

The p.e. teacher said to him and his team. They nodded

and went to their separate locker rooms to change back

into regular clothes. Sunnie changed and left the girl's

locker room, with SeungRi waiting outside, to walk her

home as usual. As they walked home, Sunnie admired

the bright spring flowers in bloom. "Hey, what're you

doing for your birthday?" SeungRi asked her.

"Oh, dinner with just the family. And just hang out

with some of the girls." Sunnie told him. "Oh" He said.

"You could come too oppa, but you'd be the only guy."

Sunnie said. "No, that's okay. I mean. Let me treat you

this weekend then." SeungRi offered. "Hmm. Okay. When?"

She asked. "Saturday evening, 6:30. Meet me at

the carnival" He explained. Sunnie nodded.

. They arrived at her house, and said their goodbyes.

SeungRi pat her head, which she seriously dislikes.

He ran off quickly down the street to his house.

"Yah! Oppa! Seriously need to stop doing that or I'll

kick your butt!" Sunnie yelled after him. SeungRi

just smiled, waving and jogged home. Sunnie shook her

head, and opened the front door of her house, going

inside.

Soon the weekday had passed. Sunnie roamed around

her house. Today was her birthday. Tomorrow she would

hang out with her girl friends. Yesterday she had

a nice dinner with just her family at home. She was

still wondering why SeungRi wanted to just hang out just

them. "He can't like me." She thought. She changed

into jeans, and a hoodie, leaving her hair down.

She curled her eyelashes and applied a bit more eyeliner

just at the inner corners. Then just slicked on

some lipbalm. She looked at the time, and grabbed

a small canvas bag, and put her wallet, car keys, and

cellphone in it. She drove to the carnival. She got out

of her car, and looked around the entrance a moment

before spotting SeungRi. She smiled and walked over to

him. "Happy Birthday" He greeted her with a smile,

and a quick hug. "Thanks oppa. Hey, where's my gift?"

She joked. "You'll get it later. Are you hungry? or do you

want to ride the rides first?" He asked. Sunnie thought

for a moment. "Let's go to the rides!" She said

enthusiastically. SeungRi laughed and they rode

the hammerhead, some of the rollercoasters, the

ferris wheel and the swings, then they ate hotdogs

and cotton candy. They took a break after awhile,

and sat at a slightly secluded area of the carnival.

It was a surprisingly nice place, a white round table,

and trees nearyby with lights wrapped around the trunk.

"Do you want to see your gift now?" He asked her.

She nodded. SeungRi got up from the table and went over

to the maitre'd of the place, and they handed him the

gift bag he'd saved earlier on. He walked over and

handed her the gift bag. Sunnie pulled out the tissue

paper. And looked inside the bag. "OMO." She exclaimed

and pulled out the gifts he had given her. It

was a small stuffed chococat, and also a cinnamoroll

pillow. "Oppa, komawo. It's soo cute!" Sunnie gushed.

Admiring the pillow and the sutffed toy. "I'm glad you

like it." He said, smiling. Sunnie smiled back and put

them back inside the bag, along with the tissue

paper. Then, one of the waiters came outside,

placing a cake with 18 candles lit, down on the table

in front of the two. Then he left, going back into

the restaurant. "OMO. Oppa, you did this too?"

Sunnie said, surprised. SeungRi smiled, looking at her

sincerely. "Happy Birthday dongseng. Make a wish."

He said. Sunnie blew out all the candles, with

her eyes closed, and soon felt SeungRi's lips on

her own, softly. Sunnie's eyes shot open, as they

broke apart. "Oppa." She said, shocked.

"I'm sorry Sunnie. But I like you. Will you be my

girlfriend?" He asked her. Sunnie sat there for a moment.

"J-jjinja?" She said in disbelief. He nodded.

"I'll be your girlfriend." She said with a smile.

SeungRi smiled and got up from his chair,

walking over to her, and pulling her up from the

seat, hugging her warmly, then they kissed again.

They broke apart. And Sunnie got a piece of the cake

and smashed it into his face. "Hey." SeungRi said.

Sunnie laughed and ran away as he tried to get her

back. He caught up with her, hugging her from behind

and smashed the cake in her hair. "Oppa!" She yelled.

They ran around the outside patio laughing, and

they stopped in time to actually enjoy some of the cake.
