stage. She was a little nervous, but knew it was her time
to shine. The music started, and her partner in the duet,
was nowhere to be found. She looked around, as people
started to whisper, but she took in a breathe and
started to sing, "Baby I love you, baby i love you..
yeongwonhi nahl sarang hae." She sang, then a male
voice suddenly accompanied her. She was surprised and
saw Jonghyun, doing H-Eugene's rap. Her eyes widened, but
she sang along. They even did the choreography that
Ye-Eun and Eugene did on their stage performance.
Jonghyun wasn't her original partner, but he had come up
to help her. As the song progressed, Won Yeon sang with
her whole heart, looking at Jonghyun with intensity.
The same went for him as well. "Wow. They have really
good chemistry." A girl from the audience whispered
to her friend. She even winked the way Ye-Eun did.
Jonghyun smiled and continued his rap. Soon the song
ended, and the audience roared in loud applause. They
bowed and got off of the stage. They went to the backstage.
"Thanks for helping me out there." SHe said to him.
He nodded. "You were really good out there." He complimented
her. She thanked him. "You too." She said.
"WOuld you like to take a walk with me?" He asked her.
She looked surprised, but agreed. It was a Saturday,
and they were at the school for the Fall Talent Show.
They went out the side door of the building, and walked
down the steps. They walked along the sidewalk, as
the leaves of red and gold slowly fell from the trees
bordering the place. As they walked, Jonghyun spoke up.
"Uh, you know about that song earlier?" He asked her.
She looked at him. "Yeah?" She asked. "Sorry if I'm
getting the wrong idea, but the way that you sang it,
really made me think that you liked me." He said.
She inhaled sharply at this. "Um. What?" She said,
her voice cracking. "But do you? Because I, like
you." He confessed her eyes widened, but she started
to blabber. "Only since like the fifth grade, but then
we'd talk once in awhile, but then we didn't know
each other that well, and then y--" She started to say,
but he pressed his lips against hers suddenly. She
placed her hands on his shoulders as he wrapped his
arms around her waist, as they kissed. After
a few seconds, they broke apart. "So.. I guess that's
a yes?" He said, smiling. Won Yeon blushed slightly
and nodded. He smiled and took her hand in his, and they
walked down the street happily.
