as she sat down in the desk, in front of Yunki.
"I'm going out with him again." Jung Ah said with
a smile. Yunki's heart sank, but she managed to give
her a small smile. "Oh, really? He asked you out
again?" Yunki asked. "Ani. I asked him. But he agreed
so, it's all good." She said. Yunki nodded. She
was partly relieved that he had not asked her, but
it was the other way around, but felt bad because
this was one of her friends, though not exactly one
of her closest friends. Jung Ah turned around in her
seat when the bell rang and everyone else filed in for
the lecture.
The following morning, Jung Ah was talking with
Yunki, Yuri, and Yoona about her date. SeungRi was
coming around the corner, but stopped when he overheard
them talking. "He's hot, and everything. But we have
nothing in common. He likes spicy food! Can you believe
that?" Jung Ah said. Yunki tried to keep her face
void of any expression at this. "Oh. that doesn't
seem so bad." Yoona said. "Not only that, but he's the
first guy, who doesn't even kiss on the second date!"
Jung Ah said, in disbelief. "So? Seems very gentleman
-like of him. Which is rare these days." Yuri commented.
"So? I didn't expect him to be like that. Whatever.
I'll see you girls later." Jung AH said and turned
around, walking down the hallway to her next class.
"Well, Yunki, looks like it's your turn to go for it."
Yoona told her. "I, I can't. He just went out with
Jung Ah. It's too soon. So we both like spicy food?
Doesn't mean it's going to work out." Yunki said,
doubtful. Yoona, and Yuri both shook their head.
"You don't know unless you try." Yuri said and they
both walked off to their classes. Yunki sighed and
went the opposite way, and SeungRi quickly
stepped back behind a corner, before he was seen, as
she passed by down the other hallway. "So, nuna
likes hyung?" He wondered and then walked down the
hallways to his own class.
Weeks passed by, and Yunki was slowly allowing
herself to be friends with Top, at the very least.
They had alot in common. Their love of spicy food,
and playing sports. Plus his serious expression and
her bubbly expression contrasted well. Jung Ah had
moved on to other guys.
It had all started when he had to transfer to
Yunki's 5th period, Film Studies class. She had helped
him get caught up, and they made conversation along the
way. But as much as she talked to him more, he still
wasn't getting that she liked him. "Hey oppa. Did you
do your homework?" She asked him, as he sat down in the
desk, beside her, five minutes late, as usual.
"Huh? Yeah. I think." He said. Yunki smiled, shaking
her head. "Mwoh?" He said, looking at her. "Ani. Nothing."
She said. Soon their portly teacher, came in and
he turned on the LCD and handed out their worksheets
as they filled out information for the movie.
A few days later, Yunki noticed that Top wasn't
in class. She asked around, but no one seemed to know
what was going on with him. Then after school, she
received a call on her cellphone, as she just got home.
"Hello?" She said. "Nuna, hyung's not feeling well.
And no one else can take care of him. Do you think
you can go over there? Sorry if you're busy." SeungRi
said. "Oh, dongseng. Sure I can go. Does he need
anything?" She asked him. "I don't really know. Maybe
porridge?" SeungRi said, unsure. "Oh, okay. I'll be
there in twenty minutes." She said. He thanked her and
hung up. Yunki quickly cooked up some porridge and
a side dish of kimchi, then placed it in tupperware,
and drove over to Top's place. She rang the doorbell,
and a sleepy looking Top, opened it. He looked
surprised to see her. "Yunki." He said. "Oppa, how are
you?" She asked. "I have a little fever, and my body
hurts, but I'm okay." He said. Yunki shook her head
and he invited her inside. He went back to the couch
where he was sleeping, the blankets back over him.
She followed him in the living room, setting down
the food on the coffee table. "Oppa, why are resting
here and not your room?" She asked, wondering.
"Well, the rest of the guys had to go out, so it's
easier for me to go the kitchen or the bathroom from
here, if I need anything." He explained. "Oh, couldn't
your mom come over or something?" She asked.
"She lives in the next city, so it'd be too much
trouble for her to come over. But she called and
told me to drink lots of fluids and all that." He
explained. "Oh, I see." She said, nodding.
"What's that?" He asked, gesturing toward the
tupperware. "Oh, porridge and kimchi, extra spicy."
She said with a smile. Top smiled back. He really
didn't look sick to her though. Doubtful, she raised
the palm of her hand to his forehead, and he was really
warm. "Hmm. You're really warm oppa, but you don't look
sick." She said. He shrugged. Then she opened up the
tupperware, placing some kimchi on top of the porridge,
and handing it to him. He ate some, grateful, then
asked if she wouldn't mind getting him a glass of
water. She nodded, and walked over to the kitchen.
As she was filling up a glass of water from the
fridge, she started hearing some loud music beats
from the living room, and wondered what he was doing.
She brought the glass of water out to the living room,
and she looked surprised. Top was holding a cordless
mic at the far end of the living room. "Oppa, should't
you be resting?" She asked him. He smiled and
just told her to listen. She sat down at the far end
of the recliner chair. As he started to rap.

Hey girl, what's up?
Got somethin' to say
Maybe
It ain't the right time
But I'll try it anyway
To say what's on my mind
So please just stay
For a minute
While I say, what I've been feeling
This thing is something real and
I wanna let you know
You've got me sprung girl,
I really like you girl
Yeah, that's what I said
I, I, I, like you, girl
About time that I said these words
I hope you feel the same
Cause
You are the only one
That makes me feel like this
We got a lot in common
You make me feel alive
Heart beating, ain't no stoppin'
I like the way you smile
Can you be that one girl?
I said, that one girl
Wanna be your man
Baby, I'm a good man
So is your answer yes?
Or is your answer no?
There's no rush
Take your time, I just wanna know

Yunki looked really surprised. The music stopped
and silence filled the room. "I..yeh oppa. I will. But,
how can you do that? When you're sick?" She asked him.
Top smiled putting down the mic next to the speakers,
and walked over to her. "I wasn't really sick." He
admitted. "Mwoh? But your fever.." She said, confused.
I put a warm water bag to my head for awhile before you
came." He explained. "Mwoh? But why? You know I really
dont' like liars. No. Wait. Your more like a dork for
doing that, cause it doesn't make any s--" She trailed
off, as he leaned in, kissing her softly. Then they broke
apart. "Sense. But I guess, I could make an exception."
She said, shrugging slightly. He laughed a little, and
she wrapped her arms around him, as they kissed again.
