passed through the school hallways
yelling at a freshman boy that was gawking
at her. The boy shook his head, and quickly ran away.
She sighed in irritation, and walked to her first
period class, a group of girls were whispering
about something, but stopped when she entered the
classroom. She ignored them and sat at her seat,
propping up her legs on the table in front of
her. She kept her jacket hoodie on, and sat there with
a stony expression. Soon the bell rang, and everyone
else filed in. "Miss Yoon. Can you please put your
feet off of the table?" Miss Chang said to her.
Soon Yi shrugged. "No one's sitting here anyway."
She told her teacher. Her teacher sighed. "Miss Yoon
please." Her teacher said for the second time.
"My legs have been killing me all day. See I have
this condition, I still have to go see my doctor
about it.." SoonYi said with a smirk. The rest of
the class laughed. "That's enough Miss Yoon. Office now."
Miss Chang said, handing her a blue slip. SoonYi sighed
and got up taking the blue slip and going up to the
office. The secretary looked at her. "Miss Yoon again?"
She said. SoonYi shrugged and sat down at one of the
seats in the waiting room. Soon the principal's
door opened and she called her in. Soon Yi went inside
snapping her gum. "Miss Yoon. Don't you want to
graduate?" Her principal, Ms. Jung asked her.
She shrugged. Ms. Jung sighed. "Miss Yoon. You have
so much potential. I know you're an intelligent
young woman, I just don't understand why you choose
to cause trouble." She said. "Neither do I."
SoonYi said. Ms. Jung sighed. "Very well. But
you'll serve detention as usual, one more
slip up and I'm calling in your aunt." Ms. Jung said.
Soon Yi nodded and left the principal's office.
She went through the rest of her classes, with
disruptions but her teachers were to tired to bother
with it, and let her go. She was walking down
the hallway, when she bumped into Shim Min Ah,
the school's queenka. "Excuse you." Min Ah said rudely.
SoonYi didn't back down. "Excuse me?" Soon Yi said
to her, glaring at her. "U-unni." One of Min Ah's
friends said to her, worriedly. "What? Soon Yi right?"
Min Ah scoffed. "Yeah. So what if I am? Apologize for
bumping into me." Soon Yi said. "Me? You bumped
into me!" Min Ah said. Soon Yi scoffed. "Look,
I hear you're this tough girl around here, but I
think you just put on a show. Can you just like,
go to a different school if you hate being around
everyone so much?" Min Ah retorted. "Boh?! Wanna die?!"
Soon Yi said. "Psh. Go ahead. Hit me." Min Ah said.
The other girls gasped. Soon Yi rolled back the
sleeves of her hoodie to her elbows, and punched her
square in the face. Min Ah screamed as did the
rest of the girls, and she slapped Soon Yi back and
pretty soon they were full out pulling at each other's
hair and rolling around the hallway, until
school administrators pulled them away from each other.
"Miss Yoon. Miss Shim, in my office now!" Mr. Bae
said angrily. They went to his office. Soon Yi was
to be on academic probation for a month, and Min Ah
would only serve detention, since she wasn't the one
who started the whole fight.
The next day, Soon Yi was walking through school
bitter as usual, when someone approached her. She looked
up and saw a very tall, handsome guy. "What do you want?"
She said to him darkly. "Are you Soonyi?" He asked
politely. She was surprised at his tone. "Yeah.
Who're you?" She asked him. "I'm ChangMin. Min Ah's
older brother." He said. "Look, whatever your sister
said, she was asking for it. Your sister's a bitch.
No offense." She said bluntly. "I know Min Ah can
be a bit much sometimes. But I really think you
owe her an apology." He said. She looked at him,
surpised again. "An apology? You really haven't heard
from around here who I am have you?" She asked him.
"Look whatever people said about you, I really don't
think you're all that bad." He said. She was really
amazed at this guy. She scoffed. "What? Are you one of
those guys who's trying to get in my pants too now?" She
retorted. He didn't even miss a beat. And he gave
her a small smile. "No. I'm not. Even though I just
met you, I think you can do better." He said.
