tracks until it reached the very top of the first hill.
Suddenly the ride car that Jiyeon was in lurched forward,
going downhill fast. As other people in front and behind
her, screamed, she vented out her feelings.
"ONEW OPPA!HOW COULD YOU FORGET OUR ANNIVERSARY? IT HURTS
ME SO MUCH BUT I DON'T WANNA FIGHT WITH YOU ANYMORE!!" She
yelled, in anger and frustration. Onew had given up on
waiting in the line a few people away from her, and
stood at the end of the ride where the rollercoaster
would stop, and he heard everything she said clearly.
He felt really bad about it, but wanted to talk when
she got off. The rollercoaster soon made it's
final uphill climb, then descended one last time, and
the ride stopped and everyone got out, as it went back
ot it's starting point, for the next set of people.
Jiyeon got out of the ride car and sighed, but walked over
to where Onew stood waiting. "Oppa I.." She started to
say. "Jiyeon ah, I'm sorry." He interrupted her.
She looked up at him, surprised. He took her hand, and
she let him lead her away from the crowd of people, and
they sat down at one of the empty benches away from the
rides. "I didn't forget our anniversary. I just wanted
it to be a surprise. I was trying to explain it to you,
but you just ran off." He explained. She looked at him,
in disbelief. "Oppa. How could you?! You made me
think you really didn't care about today!" She said.
"I'm sorry. Really I am. How could I not remember? Jiyeon
ah, this very day, six months ago, I asked you to be
my girlfriend. It was at this very same amusement park.
Except we it was during the lights show. You looked so
surprised, when all the lights in the place turned off,
and then I walked forward. You remember the song I
sang you right? And then I asked you to be my girlfriend.
I still remember how your eyes shined and your face
glowed, when you said "yes" to me. Your eyes still shine
now. I guess I took away that glow when I pretended not
to remember this day. I'm sorry. And of course, we
shared our first kiss, right over there, where those
kids are tossing coins in the fountain right now." He
said, recalling the details of that day. Jiyeon was
very touched and convinced that he didn't forget.
"Oppa. You remembered all of that?" She asked him.
He nodded with a small smile. She smiled back, her
anger disappearing. "But wait, what surprise??" She
asked him. His smile grew, and he took her hand.
"Come on." He said, leading her across the amusement park.
And they arrived at the Bistro Restaurant that was at
a quieter part of the amusement park. It was practically
empty, a table for two in the center of the outside
dining area. And the trees around the place where
wrapped with twinkling white christmas lights.
"OMO." Jiyeon said, surprised. A maitre'd came out of
the restaurant with a napkin over one arm, and
two menus, and led them to the table and they both sat
down. He took their orders, and then went back into
the restaurant. Jiyeon looked around, amazed, and turned
back to face Onew, seated in front of her again, who
was smiling. "Oppa. Wah. Really." She said. "You like
it?" He asked. She nodded. "Deh. Nomu jo ah." She said.
He laughed slightly. Soon the waiter came back with their
food and they ate, and had white chocolate rasberry truffle
cheesecake for dessert. Then the waiter cleared away their
plates. "Jiyeon ah." Onew said. "Hmm?" She said, glancing
at him again. "Give me your hands." He said.
She looked confused, but he took her hands in his, and
leaned across the table. She was surprised, but found
herself leaning forward as well, closing her eyes.
When he was a centimeter away from her, he whispered.
"Happy Six months. Sarang hae." He said sincerely.
Then his lips met her own softly. They broke apart
after a few seconds, smiling, "Nado saranghae oppa"
She said. He smiled back and then they slow danced
in the middle of the open dining, to the sound of
the jazz band that was playing nearby.
