guy out. I know girls usually don't do that. But I
shouldn't have to wait for him to do it right?" Yunki's
friend, Jung Ah, asked her. YunKi stopped stirring the
seaweed soup and turned to her. "Course Unni. So,
who's the lucky guy?" YunKi asked her. "Choi Seunghyun."
Jung Ah said. Yunki was surprised, and dropped the
stirring spoon on the kitchen floor, with a clang.
Then she quickly smiled and picked the spoon up,
washing it in the sink for a few seconds.
"What? Is there something wrong with him?" Jung Ah
asked her. "Oh A-Ani. He just looks a bit mean?"
YunKi made up. "Oh, yeah, I know. But I heard he's
really nice. Though he seems so serious." JungAh
told her. Yunki nodded, although she already knew
that. "Well, hwaiitng unni." Yunki said, not wanting
her own feelings for him, getting in the way.
Jung Ah nodded and smiled. And they went back to
their cooking. Yunki took one of the green chiles
and bit into the tip. Jung Ah cringed. "How can you
eat that?" She asked her. "What? It's not that spicy."
YunKi said with a shrug. Jung Ah sighed and went back
to chopping up kimchi for the kimbap.
The following morning, YunKi went to school, and
her heart sank. She saw Jung Ah, talking with top
near one of the columns, supporting the open hallway
of their school. He nodded, and kept a serious
expression, and suddenly, he glanced at Yunki. She
was surprised and locked his gae for a moment, but
then became flustered and turned away, then walked down
the hallway. Jung Ah turned to see who he was looking
at but saw no one. She turned back around. "So, what
do you think?" She asked him. "Oh, uh. Sure. I'll
pick you up at 7?" He asked her. She nodded, smiling
and waved goodbye, sauntering down the hallway,
her skirt, swinging behind her, as she walked.
Jiyong came down the hallway. "Hyung, you've got
game." He said in admiration. Top just nodded.
"What's wrong? A lot of guys would kill to be in your
shoes." Jiyong said. "Yeah." Top said unenthusiastically,
and he turned around and walked down the hallway,
as Jiyong shrugged and walked to his own class.
Yunki sat, at her desk, resting her chin on
her hand in contemplation. Jung Ah then came in,
and strode over to where she sat. "Hey Yunki."
Jung Ah said with a smile. "How'd it go" Yunki asked
her, although she could already tell from her
expression. "He said yes. Thanks for telling me to go
for it." Jung Ah said. Yunki nodded and Jung Ah
sat down at her own desk, and the bell rang, and
the teacher and everyone else filed in the classroom.
Later on that day, Yunki was at home, talking
with a closer friend of hers, Gyuri. "Why didn't you
say anything?" Gyuri asked her as they sat on the
rug of her room. Yunki sighed. "I don't want to
get in the way of that Unni, I just want Jung Ah unni
to be happy." She said. "But you're not happy." Gyuri
pointed out. Yunki shrugged. "It's not like I had
a chance with him anyway." She said. "Yah, now where
do you go having an attitude like that?" She
said. "I know unni I know. I'll get over it"
Yunki told her. Gyuri looked doubtful. "Okay, let's
get your mind off of this, and go watch a movie."
She suggested. Yunki nodded and they went downstairs
to her den, and watched some movies.
The following day...
"Hey hyung, how was your date?" DaeSung asked Top
as they walked around campus. "It was alright."
he said. "Alright? Oh. It must've been good."
Jiyong said. "No wait, I think hyung's really just
saying it was okay." SeungRi said, noticing his
hyung's expression. "I second magnae's comment."
Taeyang added. "Well, if she didn't do it for you
hyung you could always find someone else." Jiyong
said. Top grumbled something incoherently and walked
off without them. "What did I say?" Jiyong said.
Taeyang whacked him up the side of the head. "Ow. What?"
Jiyong said, still clueless. The rest of the guys shook
their heads, and walked after Top and Jiyong followed
after.
Yunki was in a rush to get to her class, and was
hurriedly walking down the hallway, when she shoulder
bumped someone. She started to apologize, and looked
up slightly, and was surprised to see Top. She blinked
up at him. He looked surprised to see her as well.
"M-Mianhaeyo." She said, bowing slightly. He bowed
back slightly as well. "It's okay. I think I've seen
you around before. What's your name?" He asked her.
"Yunki. Lee Yunki." She said. "I'm Seunghyun. But
people call me Top." He said. She nodded, and
then remembered she was going to be late for her
next class. "Oh, I'm gonna be late. Nice to meet you!"
She said hurriedly and walked off. He looked after her
and smiled then turned around. When Jung Ah came
around the corner. She slipped her arm through his.
"Hey Seunghyun oppa. I had a really good time. Wanna
go somewhere today?" She asked him. He was unsure,
but he didn't really have any excuse. He thought
a second date might make him change his mind about
her so he agreed.
"Aish. I shouldn't be talking to him. If Jung Ah unni's
going out with him. Or at least, not until she introduces
me to him, if she does." Yunki thought as she went
to her next class. "But, the way he looked at me
yesterday, and just a few minutes ago. There was
something..Ani. I'm being silly." She said, shrugging
the thought and pulling open the door of her classroom,
and walking in.
