"hey...i heard you and that jaebum guy are together?....is it true?" someone tap her back.
"huh?...together?...must be rumors...we don't even know each other that well..." she ignored him and kept flipping through he bag.
"ohh....i was just asking because i keep seeing him chase you around everywhere...it's just unlikely so yea sorry...i guess i was wrong.."
"it's ok...i'm sure he won't be chasing me around anymore..." she smiled at him before the teacher walked into class.
the day went by slowly, each minute seemed to turn into hours. she tried her best to keep her focus on the worksheet but then it was hard because jaebum kept coming into her thought. she hated it but what can she do when her mind is on something else?
"hey...school's out...how come you're still here?" someone tap her from behind knocking her out of her thought.
"oh i was just getting ready to go..." she lightly bowed before he walked out of class. she gathers all of her belongings slowly into her bag before heading out of the class.
"i'm so tired..." she sighs walking slowly.
"hey!" a familiar voice startled her.
"what do you want this time?" she turn to face soojin.
"i want you to stop chasing my jaebum around...." she crossed her arms annoyingly.
"first of all i'm not chasing him and i wouldn't really want too....and secondly if he's your jaebum why don't you make him stop chasing me around?...i'm getting tire of these games..." eunji let out a large gasp of air.
"what's with the hatred? have i done something wrong to you?" another familiar voice from behind spoke up. this time she froze because she knew who it was.
"jaebummie-ah....what are you still doing here?" soojin ran up to grab hold of jaebum's arm.
"answer me!" jaebum shove soojin aside
"i...i have to go home...." eunji excuse herself away.
"i said answer me!"
"yah jaebum-ah...just let her go...girls like her don't deserve guys like you!" soojin snorted.
"yea...like what she said...girls like me don't go with guys like you..." eunji let a few tears drop before she ran away.
"EUNJI...I WON'T GIVE UP!" jaebum yelled after eunji.
that night eunji rolled around her bed sleeplessly. so many thoughts came to her mind, especially the last line that jaebum said to her. she wondered how long this would continue on and how long she'll be able to hang with it. one thing she didn't understand was, why would he target her in the first place? what was so interesting about her that made him not want to let go? was it the fact that she needed protection from others or was he just trying to pull something off on her since he's the brain and the kingka of the school. just thinking about her situation, made her brain hurt so she decided to sleep since it was late already and she had school the next day.
"eunji...wait up for me!" a voice from behind yelled for her. she knew exactly who it was but then she just kept her paste up.
"oh great....so now you’re ignoring me?" he snorted.
"possibly....now can i please have my peaceful morning walk?" she sigh.
"not until you answer me the question yesterday.." he challenged
"what's been said won't be repeated..."
"but i don't believe you..."
"you don't even know me that well...of course you wouldn't.." she let out a small laugh
"i don't need to know you well in order to believe in you....i can tell just by reading your every movement..."
"what's there to look at?...i'm just a girl...why don't you stop wasting time on me?...go find someone better...someone like soojin..."
"soojin is nothing compare to you..." that cause eunji to stumble with her foot a little. she was surprise by what he said just now.
when they both reached school, they went their own separate ways but before they did, she manage to catch small glances at some girls staring at her with disgust and hate, as if she had just killed someone that they idolize.
when she went to class, she found a small folded piece of paper sitting on top of her desk. she picked it up and opened it. it read: eunji eunji...please, i beg you to tell me what your specialty is because....my jaebum just can't seem to keep his eyes off of you...although i don't know why because he still loves his ex-girlfriend and trust me she was a beauty...nothing compare to you...you can say she matches up to my level...you know what happen to her?..well...i wouldn't want to tell you because if i do i'll ruin it for you....

"what a joke..." eunji smirked and threw the piece of paper into her bag.
during lunch eunji decided to go get a breath of fresh air in the rooftop. she didn't feel like eating or getting into another one of jaebum's mess. he was trouble to her, sometimes she wished he wouldn't have saved her that night because if he hadn't then they would've never really met.
"looking lonely...should i accompany you?" a squeaky voice spoke out of nowhere.
"you people just can't seem to keep your eyes off of me eh?..." eunji smirk not even looking at her.
"oh because we just love you so much..."
"yea i figured...otherwise you wouldn't be here following me around"
"truth is i just wanted to warn you...about my jaebummie...and i wanted to make sure you got my letter..." soojin tilted her head with a creepy smile form on her lips.
"yea read it....it was a nice essay but one advice...use a dictionary next time you spend your precious time writing me another one of you lovely essay because to much mistake can lead to corruption and misunderstandings..." eunji smiled before heading back down stairs.
"i promise to you...you'll get it!" soojin rolled her hands up into fists.
that day eunji decided to stop at the convenient store and help out the old couple before she heads home since jaebum was the only thing she's been thinking about, one main thought that came to her mind was what soojin said about his ex-girlfriend. she didn't care about him but why was it bothering her so much? jaebum had other things to do so he couldn't walk with her home. after helping the couple out, she then headed home but unfortunately something held her on the way.
"i waited long ya know?...and i hate waiting on people...especially someone like you who disgust me..." soojin appeared out of nowhere with her mob of girls.
"oh...i'm sorry...your legs must be tired....need some help bending them?" eunji laughed.
"no because yours will get bended before mines..." soojin began to throw her fists towards eunji and soon she was surrounded by the mob of girls.
"it's been a long time since I’ve used my fists and i promised my father i wouldn't use them anymore but you asked for it..." eunji said before she began beating the crap out of them. soojin couldn't believe what she was seeing. it was almost like she was seeing a different eunji, the tough and not afraid one.
"it's your turn...they've all given up.." eunji looked around at the girls on the ground and then to soojin.
"how did you..."
"how did i learn how to fight like this?...i learned it from someone....a special someone that means a lot to me...someone you'll never match up too...now can we just get it over with?..." eunji got tired of waiting. her blood was heating up to a certain level where she won't be able hold back for long.
"no...i won't fight you because...I’ve just lost..." soojin broke down onto her knees.
"what do you mean you lost?...you haven't even fought me..."
"i lost because...i would never be able to do what you just did....you stopped fighting because of your father's death three years ago...he got murder by one of his enemy....and just because of jaebum...you're fighting again..."
"how would you know?"
"trust me i know enough about you..."
"i swear...what is it with you people?....first you go chasing me around and now you're looking into my private life?...what do you want with me?...my life?" eunji's anger build up causing her to punch the tree.
"no but it would feel great too...because you just won jaebum..from me...and no one usually does"
"look...i didn't fight because of him...i had my own reasons to fight ok!" eunji defended herself.
"save it!...i know why you did it...you don't have to explain to me...come on girls...lets go...." she patted eunji's back
"what about his ex-girlfriend?...what happened to her?"
"i thought you'd asked....she's fake...a total made up person....jaebum never had a girlfriend before and that’s why it bothered me so much that he was into you although I’ve been trying to get his attention for so long..." soojin smiled.
"what do you mean exactly?..."
"get to know him...you'll know what i mean..." and with that soojin and her mob of girls left the scene.
"HUH?...wait...what just happened?" eunji sat down on the bench.
"daughter...she meant you've finally got out of your darkness....you should start a new life and live on because no matter what happens i won't be coming back but just know that...i'll always be watching over you..." she heard a voice that sounded like her appa's.
"appa?..APPA!...APPA!...is that you?..where are you?" she cried out searching everywhere.
"honey....your appa won't be coming back...he's gone...forever..." her mom ran up to her and hugged her, dropping a few bags she had in hand
"but omma...i just heard his voice...he spoke to me..." eunji hugged her mom tightly and cried.
"you may have heard his voice but he's gone forever...we'll only see him in our dreams now...." her mom held her close.
"eunji...what happened?" a worried voice abrupt them from their mother-daughter moment
"oh nothing...i'm fine..." she let go of her mom.
"annyeong...you must be eunji's mother..." jaebum bowed politely with manner before turning his gaze towards eunji who's clothes looked terribly dirty.
"you must be jaebum....eunji's been talking about you.." her mom smiled at jaebum
"really?" jaebum's eyes widen.
"omma!..." eunji gritted her teeth.
"hahaha...alright no more teasing...i'll leave you two kids alone...don't be out too late eunji..." her mom laughed before she walked away.
"so...you've been thinking about me lately huh?" he gave her one his most adorable smirk ever, making her body tingle up and down.
"no...who said?" she brushes past him to go sit on the grass, looking out to the water.
"well...according to my knowledge...when you talk about someone a lot it also means that you're thinking about them...." he took a seat next to her.
"well...that was only a one time thing...."
"yea...sure...i believe you...after all why would you even think of me when you despise me so much right?" he looked at her.
"i don't hate you....there's more to it...you just don't understand...."
"help me understand it then...because it’s frustrating..."
"i can't...because you'll never understand where i'm coming from...plus i'm willing to let it go because i'm tire of playing these games..."
"well i have feelings too you know.....i need a heart just like you in order to complete me...but somethings been bothering me for past few days...seems like my heart isnt with me anymore...like it's gone...i think it found a new owner..." he pulled his hood over his head with a slight smile.
"what do you mean your heart's gone?...it just jumped out?" she laughed
"yea...i guess you can say that..."
"where'd it jump to?...i'll help you get it back...you can trust me on this one because i'm not like other girls you know...i can follow one's heart even if it means to the end..." she smiled calmly although her heart was grieving from both sadness and happiness.
"i'm not sure exactly where to start but...i think it landed in a girl...a girl who I’ve only met for not even that long ago....it's strange but whenever i see her, i feel this tingly of happiness run through my body. something I’ve never experience before and even when she tries to get rid of me, i just can't seem to give up on her...you know i'm beginning to believe that soul mates do exists..." he smiled.
"wow...seems like love to me...although I’ve never really experienced it before..." she smiled as her heart sank a little, drifting away slowly with the water as if each of his word had left an empty wound in her heart.
"don't worry...i haven't either...that's why i'm so confuse but....i think i might just know how to get it back..." he looked at her.
"and how would you do that?" she turned to look at him.
"like this...." he slowly moved towards her filling the space between them with every move he made until the space was completely closed up and their lips pressed against one another. it felt like a dream to eunji but then she was happy that it wasn't.
"ok now i think just lost mine..." she pulled back panting with a smile.
"i know...and you won't get it back anytime soon..." he smiled to her and she did the same back.
