Shirley: I feel like I can work better at a different place…
Ray: *sigh* very well, but according to the contract, you have to work for us until we find someone to replace you…
Shirley: ok, excuse me *she left*
Ray followed her…
Ray: Shirley, I need to talk to you…
Shirley: I’m sorry Ray, but I’m very busy right now…
Ray: but…I *a voice interrupted* *he turned around and saw Jack*
They went to Ray’s office…
Ray: sit down *as he turned around, Jack hit him, he fall down*
Jack: I told you to take care of Nancy, you didn’t keep your promise…
Ray: *rub his face* why do I have to take care of her when you’re the one that care for her and love her?
Jack: *yelled* but the one she love is you………not me………
Ray: *yelled back* but you the one that never let her know your feeling………everything might be different if she know how you feel!
They looked at each other, Jack turned around and walked out…
Leila: Shirley *gave Shirley a first-aid kit*
Shirley: *took the kit and walk into Ray’s office*
Ray: *looked at Shirley*
Shirley help Ray clean up the wound and Ray kept looking at her…
Shirley: *stand up and about to walk out*
Ray: Shirley *grab her hand*
Shirley: I have work to do *turned to walk away*
Ray: *stand up, still hold her hand* I know you’re trying to ignore me, but you can’t ignore me for the rest of your life.
Shirley: *didn’t say anything*
Ray: *told Shirley the reason why he went out with Nancy*
Shirley: Ray…*he suddenly hugged her, she’s surprised*
Ray: the person I truly love is you…
Shirley: *slowly pull him out* if I did anything to caused you to misunderstood, I’m sorry, but I always see you as a good friends, nothing else.
Ray: you’re lying………
Shirley: I don’t need too……
Ray: then look straight into my eyes and say you’ve never love me
Shirley: *looked into his eyes* I’ve never love you!
Ray: *trying to smiled* very well, if you said that we’re good friends, then there’s no need to leave right? here, take back your envelope…
Shirley: but…
Ray: if you don’t take it back, then it mean that what you told me just now is lie
Shirley: it’s not…
Ray: then take it back, it’s hard to find job these day *put the envelope in Shirley’s hand* you can continue your work now…*smiled*
She turned around and about to leave……
Ray: Shirley *she stopped* time will prove everything……I’ll wait until you’re ready to accept the fact! *she walked out*
Shirley: *sadly sat on her chair and looking at the envelope*
Leila: you’re ok?
Shirley: yea, I’m fine……
Leila: *looked at Tavia*
Following weeks, Shirley and Ray treat each other as friends……sometimes Ray would secretly look at Shirley and Shirley would do the same, Leila and Tavia saw this but they decided not to say anything and let things flow naturally…………for sometimes, everything was back to normal…………
Matt: yay, weekend……………anyone have any plan for this weekend?
Sammul: spend more time with Bernice………
Tavia: we know you guys are a happy couple, but you don’t have to remind us unlucky people……
Matt: I’m always here if you need me………
Tavia: puh-lease
