They arrive at the fifth floor. They both leave at the same time and bump into each other.
Shirley and the guy: sorry! *smile*
The guy: you go ahead!
Shirley: thanks!
Shirley arrives at the conference room and sees a lot of people waiting at the room next to it.
A girl: hi
Shirley: hello
The girl: they just come out and say that they’re gonna called people in by alphabetical order in about 5 minutes.
Shirley: thank you…um…what’s your name?
The girl: oh, I’m Leila
Shirley: I’m Shirley
A lady comes out and started to called people in………Sammul Chan………………then……
The Lady: Leila Tong…
Leila: *turn to Shirley* oh, no, it’s my turn!
Shirley: don’t worry, you can do it *put two thumbs up*
Leila: *turn to the lady* I’m Leila Tong
The Lady: ok, come with me please.
They walk to the door and Leila turn to Shirley and put two thumbs up, Shirley do the same.
Leila: hello, I’m Leila Tong!
A guy: please sit down *Leila sit down* tell us the reason why we should hire you…
Leila: ok, um…I’m pretty confidence about my work and I think I can take challenges and……
About 5 minutes later, Leila goes out again……
Shirley: Leila, how did it go?
Leila: I don’t know, I did my best, if they didn’t hire me, well, that’s their lost! Haha
Shirley: *giggles*
Leila: what? I’m serious! *grinning*
The Lady: Matt Yeung!
Matt Yeung walks in.
The guy: please sit down Matt…
Matt: *smile and sit down*
Another 5 minutes…………Matt Yeung walks out.
The Lady: Shirley Yeung...
Leila: good luck!
Shirley: thanks!
Shirley enters, to her surprise, one of the person doing the interview is the guy in the elevator. The guy smiles and nodded at her, she nodded back.
The guy: please sit down *Shirley sit down* what made you confidence that you will do the job better than other?
Shirley: I don’t…
The guy: pardon me?
Shirley: I think that other people might be able to do the
job better than me, but I will try my best and not giving
up.
The interview people nodded and smile.
The guy: tell us the reason why we should hire you.
Shirley: I think I’m a good worker, I have responsibility and I’ll definitely learn from other to improve the way I
work.
The guy: well, thank you, you’ll be hearing from us in about a week.
Shirley: thank you! *bow her head a little again*
She left, meanwhile the lady called Tavia Yeung to come in, and about 5 minutes she comes out again.
A guy: *asking the guy that’s in the elevator with Shirley* so what do you think Ray?
Ray: I think all of the people that come in today are all pretty good Jack.
A girl: but you already pick the five right?
Ray: *smile*
Jack: you always know Ray best Nancy!
Nancy: of course! *smile*
Meanwhile, out in the waiting place.
Leila: ok?
Shirley: I guess.
Ray, Jack and Nancy comes out, everyone turn to
look at them.
Ray: I want to thank you everyone here today and you will hear from us in about a week, bye bye.
They all left, Shirley walks with Leila, and Ray walks pass them.
Shirley: Leila, do you know who’s that guy?
Leila: oh, that’s Raymond Lam, heard he’s one of the manager, very good, even the boss listen to him.
Shirley: really?
Leila: um-hm, it’s also his idea to train up some new college graduated, heard he’s very strict and a bit hard to
work with, anyway…what are you gonna do for another week?
Shirley: well, I’m going shopping now and maybe help at my aunt and uncle restaurant.
Leila: shopping? Mind if I come along?
Shirley: of course not, come on, let’s go!
They giggled.
