“Okay. Do you like anything else?” she asked.
“I like, hmm… you?” Ximen teased.
“Stop kidding. Really, what do you want?”
“Nothing else. I also like seafood’s.”
“Good then. You drive safely alright?”
“Alright. Love you.”
“Really?” Xiao You replied with a teasing smile on her face.
“What are you talking about? Of course it’s true. Are you making fun of me again Xiao You?”
“No I was just trying to make this conversation long. I love you too. See you tomorrow!”

Ximen arrived early in the morning with a smile plastered on his face as Xiao You opened the door for him.
Xiao You was still in her pajama bottoms but didn’t care because it was only Ximen anyway and it was comfortable for her to wear because it was a little cold.
“Don’t I at least get a kiss from you? It would be a wonderful greeting for me.”
He bent down so that Xiao You could reach his cheek. Ximen gave her a wide grin then handed her the roses that he had brought with him.
“Have you reminded your parents about the dinner tonight?” Xiao You asked while placing the flowers that Ximen had given her on the vase.
“Yes.”
“What did they say?”
“Well, they said they’ll be here and they are both excited to see you again.”
“That’s great! I’m looking forward on meeting them again. So after we eat, I’ll start preparing for tonight. How about you?”
“I’ll stay.” Ximen answered immediately. He wasn’t planning on going anywhere but to stay in her place that whole day.
“And?”
“And do nothing.”
“Hmm… do you want to help me instead?”
Ximen thought for a while before glancing at her again, “Do I have any choice?” He said grinning at her.
“Yeah. You could either stay outside or help me.” Xiao You said with a faked smile then headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for them.

They started the preparation for their dinner that evening but most of the work would be Xiao You’s responsibility and Ximen will only be the one to help her.
“So are you really good in cooking?” Ximen started.
“You dare question my cooking abilities? Huh, Ximen?”
“I was just asking you.”
“Of course I am!” Xiao You said as she was checking on the Seafood Paella baking on the oven. “Here, you taste it.” Xiao You fed him a spoonful of the Paella. “Great huh?”
“Hmm… Not bad.” He smiled.
“Really?”
“Yes, you’ll probably pass to be a wife now.”
Xiao You had her back turned so Ximen wasn’t able to see her smiling face.
When she was back to her composure she faced Ximen and found him eating her green apple.
“Hey! Who told you to eat that?”
“Um… No one. Why? Am I not allowed to eat this?”
“Not really, I was just kidding.”
“Why are there plenty of apples? I don’t suppose you’re going to eat them all or else my Xiao You will get fat.”
“I’m going to use it for the salad silly. And what if I get fat? Won’t you love me anymore?”
“Umm…” Ximen thought for a moment that earned him a jab on the head from Xiao You.
“I was joking. Of course I will still love you.” Ximen replied, embracing Xiao You from her back.
“May I have some? My hands are dirty.”
“So, you really prepared for this?” he asked while feeding her a piece of the fruit.
“Yup, I wanted this day to be special. They are your parents so they deserve something like this.”
Ximen paused for a while, “I know they are but I don’t remember you making me a special dinner like this. Am I not that special?” he looked at her as if feeling hurt.
“Don’t worry, after this day, I’ll surprise you with one.” She replied laughingly.
“I’ll be expecting that.” He whispered on her ear.
“This would be prepared for a while. So now we’ll do the cake.”
“We?”
“Yup! You’ll help me with the baking.” Xiao You happily informed him.
Ximen nodded and glanced back at her, “Oh Alright, but I have to kiss you first.” He bent down and kissed her lips. He had done it fast so that Xiao You couldn’t resist his moves. It was a quick kiss but Ximen surely liked it.
He left her startled and walked ahead of her.
“Let’s start,”
She walked slowly towards him and was silent for a moment.
“What’ll I do?” he asked her.
“You get the flour.”
“Where?”
“There,” She pointed towards the direction of the pantry. “Did you find it?”
“Got it!” Ximen exclaimed and brought the pack of flour in the table.
“Now you open the eggs.”
He faced her and scratched his head. “Um, I’m sorry but I don’t know how to.”
“Fine, just stay there and let me handle this.” said Xiao You.
Ximen plopped his elbows on the countertop and rested his chin at his hand, he watched Xiao You prepare the cake.
“Hey, you’re so serious.” Ximen was poking her right arm continuously and was trying to make her smile.
“Ximen stop. I’m doing something,” Xiao You said calmly but Ximen wouldn’t stop. She used her finger and dipped it in the bowl full of flour then wiped it in his nose.
He followed her suit and wiped the flour in her forehead. They soon started messing each other with the floor until both of their faces were almost covered with it.
“Ximen, you stop it…” She pleaded for Ximen was tickling her all over her body.
“I’ll stop but I’ll have to kiss you first.” He stopped and then kissed her lips once again.
She frowned. “HEY! That’s my second stolen kiss from you.” She protested.
Ximen laughed. “I knew you’d like it. Your welcome.”
“Idiot…” She said and smiled smugly. “Next time you do that you’ll have to pay for it!”
“Sure. Just send me the bill and I’ll pay you with kisses.”
Xiao You stuck her tongue out and then quickly stood up to remove the flour covering her body.

Xiao You had just placed the cake inside the oven and was cleaning the kitchen.
“Xiao You, I’ll take care of these. You go freshen up.” Ximen suggested. He was observing the cake being heated in the oven.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.” Ximen smiled at her.
Xiao You walked towards her bedroom but abruptly stopped and went back to Ximen and kissed him.
“I just forgot to tell you, don’t go near the oven, it’s hot.” She made an excuse and then ran back to her room.
“Now who’s stealing kisses?” Ximen shouted with a smile on his face.
Xiao You came back a while later wearing a white knee-length dress with lace ruffles as an accent. She went to Ximen who she really saw cleaning the kitchen.
“Ehem…” Xiao You cleared her throat to make Ximen notice her presence already.
Ximen turned to her with a playful smile on his face. “Wow. You look lovely.”
“Of course.” Xiao You muttered. “Why don’t you freshen up? I’ll take care of everything.”
“Sure?”
“Yup. Now go before I change my mind.”
“I’ll just go down and get my clothes. My clothes are all floury because of someone here.” Ximen shouted before closing the door, leaving Xiao You laughing.

***Ding…. Dong***
“Xiao You they’re here.” Ximen told Xiao You, she was busy checking if everything is set. “Let’s go.” Ximen gave her hand a squeeze knowing that she was quite nervous.
Ximen opened the door and revealed her parents smiling brightly at the sight of them.
“Ma, Pa it’s good to see you.” Ximen greeted and helped them inside Xiao You’s penthouse.
“Good evening.” Xiao You said as she kissed Ximen’s mother.
“Oh. I almost forgot. We brought this for you.” The elder Ximen told them, revealing an old bottle of red wine.
“Thank you, Uncle.” Xiao You said while assisting them to the sofa. “Excuse me. I will just check something in the kitchen.”
“Just take your time, dear.” Ximen’s mother muttered.
Xiao You came back minutes later holding 4 wine glasses. Ximen went to her and helped her bring it to his parents.
He opened the bottle of wine and served it to everybody.
“You have a beautiful house, Xiao You. I like its atmosphere.” Mrs. Ximen commented as Mr. Ximen nodded in agreement.
“Thanks. Actually I haven’t finished everything I want to do in the house since I have many things to do.” Xiao You explained to them.
“Well then I’m sure it would look spectacular by the time you finish it.” Mr. Ximen concluded.
“Why don’t you ask Ximen to help you?” Mrs. Ximen told her while eyeing Ximen who was a little shocked at the mention of his name.
“Yeah.” Mr. Ximen added which made Ximen look helpless.
All of them started laughing except Ximen who was just drinking his wine.
“And I’m supposed to be you’re son here.” Ximen complained to his parents which made them laugh even more. “If I had known that you will just gang up on me then I shouldn’t have come.”
“Don’t worry son, we love you.” Mr. Ximen patted his shoulders.
Xiao You went back to the kitchen after excusing herself. She emerged minutes later calling them for dinner is ready.
They had just finished the appetizer which was cream of mushroom soup. Ximen and Xiao You momentarily went back to the kitchen to get the main course.
They came back with Ximen holding the Seafood Paella, still hot from the oven.
“Wow. That looks delicious.” Mr. Ximen commented at his delight looking at the seafood.
Xiao You just smiled as she was squeezing some lime on the Paella. Ximen then proceeded serving it to everybody while glancing at her.
“So how’s everything going between you two in the business? Any problems you’ve encountered?” Mr. Ximen started.
“There are many I tell you Pa. But Xiao You and I are capable of solving it easily so you don’t have to worry.” Ximen answered, looking at Xiao You with a known smile on his face.
“Don’t believe him Uncle, it isn’t him who helps me, it’s his secretary. As a matter of fact, Ximen does not work at all in the office.” Xiao You said in reply with a soft chuckle.
“Hey! Pa might believe you…” he warned her.
“No, I was just kidding Uncle. Actually, he barely has time for himself because he’s too preoccupied with the things he does in the office.”
“You’re making me worry again Ximen.” Mrs. Ximen told him.
“Ma, you don’t have to worry about me. I’m sure Xiao You here wouldn’t let anything bad happen to me. She’ll take good care of me.” He then put an arm around Xiao You and gathered her closer to him. “Right Xiao You?”
“Right, Right… But you better be obedient. I’m not that patient I tell you.”
“Of course. Am I Ma?”
His mother was feeling overwhelmed just by seeing the two of them happy and getting along very well. “Yes you are Son.” Mrs. Ximen replied shortly.
The four of them had a good conversation. As the night went on, Xiao You felt more comfortable with the presence of Ximen and his parents. She was glad that although her parents are far from here, she could feel their presence just being with Ximen’s parents.
Ximen was talking to his parents when he noticed that Xiao You kept herself silent.
“Are you okay?” He whispered to her ears.
She looked at him and smiled. “I am. I’m just happy with the way things are going with us.”
“Me too.”
“Um, excuse me guys. We hate to ruin your moment but we just want to tell you that we’ll be leaving already. We know how busy Xiao You is so we’ll let her have her rest.” Mrs. Ximen said to them.
“Oh alright. We’ll see you off.”
They walked with Ximen’s parents until they’ve reached the main door of her house.
“Thanks for the dinner dear. It was wonderful of you to prepare a special dinner for us.” Mrs. Ximen told her and kissed her.
“I hope to see you again soon Auntie.” Xiao You replied politely.
“Ximen if you need anything you know where to find me.” His father said and bade goodbye to both of them.
When his parents were gone, both Ximen and Xiao You rested in the living room for a while.
After a couple of minutes, Ximen was ready to go home. He said goodbye to her and then drove off to his house.
