“Dave to the Dao Ming Mansion Please.” Xiao You said staring at the scenery on her window.
She had no doubt that Dave knew that place since the Dao Mings are famous in Taiwan and of course everyone knew where they live. She was giggling on her own thinking of Shan Cai’s reaction when she arrives to see her. She knew all to well that her best friend was going to scream at her and scold her for not coming to her wedding. They then finally arrived at the foyer of the Dao Ming Mansion and was greeted by their butler.
“Good Afternoon, May I know your name miss?” he asked as she walked into their mansion.
“I am Chien Xiao You.” She replied looking at the exquisite foyer the Dao Ming’s have.
“Who do you wish to see, Ms. Chien?”
“I am a friend of Shan Cai, is she here?” she inquired to the butler.
She was praying silently as she asked the butler because she didn’t know if she was there since she did not call her earlier.
“Yes she is, I will just call her meanwhile, you can stay in the living room while waiting.” He then led her to the living room as maids came to serve some tea for her.
As she was drinking her tea, she glanced around the room. She saw many pictures of Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai, looking at it; she saw that her best friend was happy with the man she has fought for. Xiao You was happy for her friend having settled down and now was living peacefully. All the troubles that she faced were worth it now that they were together finally.

Shan Cai was busy attending to her 10 months old daughter, Su Qi. She was very much like her plus the adorable dimples that she inherited from her father. She was now very hyperactive and was constantly crawling around the room playing with her mother. Dao Ming Si was at his office but he never missed any lunch with her and Su Qi and she was glad that her husband is spending time with them as Su Qi was growing up.
Shan Cai was busy staring at her daughter who was trying to get a barney stuff toy from one of the shelves. She has been trying to get that for the longest time, pulling the toy towards the edge so it would fall. She smiled as she looked at her daughter who was indeed smart and strong like them. She hoped that Su Qi would not encounter any of the problems that they faced.
A knock on the door made her stop her stare at her daughter as she looked to at the door and saw their butler coming in. The butler bowed to her and spoke.
“Shao Fu ren, you have a visitor.” he informed her.
She began thinking who could be her visitor since she knew that Xiao Qiao was rehearsing for her concert while Jing was out of the country and she knew that Lei is probably still sleeping. Mei Zhuo on the other hand was busy attending to their business since he was in a middle of a big project and so was Ximen.
“Who?” she asked her butler finally giving up on thinking who was her visitor during this time of the day.
“A certain Miss Chien, she said that she is your friend.”
She again began thinking who was this woman, she couldn’t remember anyone with that name so she thought that she was probably one of her clients back in the travel agency she used to work in.
“I’ll be down in a minute, can you call Su Qi’s nanny to keep her company while I go downstairs.”
Minutes later, Su Qi’s nanny came and Shan Cai came down to see her visitor. As she was coming down from the stairs, she could see the lady who had her back to her and was standing looking at the different portraits of them. She wondered who this woman was who said that she was her friend.

Xiao You was busy staring at the portraits when she felt a pair of eyes lay upon her; she knew that it was her best friend looking at her, trying to recognize her back. She turned to her to get a better view of her best friend and when she did her eardrums almost popped out because of her best friend’s scream.
“Xiaoooooo Youuuuuuuuu!” Shan Cai exclaimed recognizing the woman that was in front of her.
“Shan Cai.” She said walking towards her and giving her best friend a tight hug.
They finally broke their embrace and stared at each other looking at their transformation over the past years.
“Ms. Chien?” she asked raising an eyebrow at her.
“That’s my English surname, and my English name is Adriana. I used it so that I’ll be able to surprise you.” She
replied smiling brightly at her.
“Well you surely got me there! Wait! Don’t you think that I don’t remember that you did not come to my wedding plus the christening.” She reminded her acting like she was mad.
“I’m really sorry, I was just starting back then and I had a lot of things to fix then. Sorry”
“Okay, I can never be mad at you. Anyway what’s with the get up?”
“I just came from a meeting.”
“Oh… Are you staying for good?”
“Um…No, actually I am just staying her for a day.”
“A day?”
“Yeah, I had some business to attend to here. Please don’t get mad, I promise I’ll stay longer next time.” She told her friend with a pleading look.
“You Promise?”
“Promise! So how’s life being Mrs. Dao Ming?” she teased her best friend.
“Good, do you want to see Su Qi?”
“Of course!” she happily answered her clapping her hands together in delight.
They went upstairs to Su Qi’s room and saw her playing with her nanny, Xiao You walked towards her and pinched her cheeks gently. Shan Cai dismissed Su Qi’s nanny so they could have the room for themselves. Xiao You found Su Qi’s so adorable, she is just looked like her mother but her actions remind her of Dao Ming Si. Su Qi crawled to her and ran her small hands on her face, Shan Cai was looking at them smiling from ear to ear for her daughter liked Xiao You. Su Qi was a little snobbish when it comes to people but looking at them, she knew her daughter liked her best friend.
“So how’s everybody?” she asked as she played with Su Qi.
“They’re all doing good. Mei Zhuo, believe it or not has already settled down.”
“Really? Who’s the lucky girl?”
“Her name is Yin Xiao Qiao, you’ll meet her once you come back, okay?”
“Sure! I’d love to meet her.”
Shan Cai then narrated Xiao Qiao’s pursuit for Mei Zhuo and at the end of the story Xiao You was teary-eyed with what Xiao Qiao did.
“Wow, she really is brave to do that, I am really excited to meet the woman who turned Mei Zhuo’s world upside down” she said laughing with San Chai. “I know I could’ve done what she did with Mei Zhuo but the fact is Mei Zhuo loves her, and Ximen doesn’t love me.” She thought sadly. Minutes later she was berating herself for thinking about it again, she has already moved on with her life.
“I’m glad that everything worked for the two of them,” she said to her friend honestly.
“Me also.”
“So how’s Ximen?” she asked trying to say it nonchalantly, she wanted to show her friend that she has moved on and she was no longer the girl who was constantly asking Ximen for his love.
“Well, getting more and more workaholic every day!” she said in reply, looking at Xiao You that she seemed to have taken everything between her and Ximen well.
“Oh.” Was all she could reply.
“He has been missing a lot of our gatherings since he started working. If I wouldn’t threaten him, he wouldn’t come with us.” Shan Cai said as the two of them started laughing.
A soft knock interrupted them; Dao Ming Si went into the room. He kissed Shan Cai’s cheeked and carried Su Qi into his arms, he then looked at Xiao You not recognizing who she was. Dao Ming Si nudged Shan Cai’s elbow to introduce him to her visitor.
“Who’s your visitor?”
“You don’t recognize her?” she said moving him towards Xiao You so that they could be face-to-face.
“I don’t pighead! I wont ask you if I knew.” He told his wife irritably.
Xiao You and Shan Cai were eyeing each other, they wanted to laugh at Dao Ming Si but they just suppressed it.
“Are you sure?” Shan Cai once again asked.
“I really don’t.”
“Have I gone too long that Dao Ming Si shao ye doesn’t recognize me anymore?” Xiao You told him while smiling brightly.
Dao Ming Si stared at her in disbelief like his wife did earlier.
“Xiao You?” he asked.
“You’re right, Pighead! That’s Xiao You.” She said placing her arm on her husbands shoulder.
“Welcome back, Xiao You.” He exclaimed masking his embarrassment for not recognizing who she was.
“Thanks!”
“You’re early today.” His wife commented him.
“Well, Ximen called earlier and said he wanted to meet us here.”
“That’s a first, what else did he say?” her wife inquired.
“Nothing else.”
“Oh well, Ximen is always unpredictable.”
“Umm…it’s getting late, I better call my chauffeur already.” Xiao You said not wanting to hear anything more about Ximen.
“Why don’t you stay here for dinner?”
“No thanks, my flight leaves at 6 in the evening.” She politely refused Dao Ming Si’s offer.
“So you’re not staying? But you just came back.” Dao Ming Si asked in confusion.
“Nope, I just had some business to attend to. So if you’ll excuse me, I have to leave. I’ll just call my chauffeur.”
Xiao You then went out of the room and called her chauffeur to pick her up already meanwhile Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si were left talking.
“Do you reckon Xiao You still have feelings for Ximen?” his husband asked her.
“I don’t know, we haven’t talked about that yet. Although she seems to be better than the last time we saw her.”
“Yes, I agree. Anyway they’re old enough to handle things by themselves.” Dao Ming Si said embracing her wife.
Minutes later, Xiao You came back and they all headed downstairs to wait for her chauffeur leaving Su Qi with her nanny again.
