'Minwoo...I hope we last..,' thought Hyekyo. 'I hope..'
The next day, Hyekyo was scrambling some eggs for breakfast and humming since Minwoo promise to take her to the mountains again when the phone rang. Startle, she quickly finished the eggs and turned off the stove. She walked over to the phone and picked up the reciever.
"Hello?" she said.
"Hyekyo!!" came Minwoo's frantic voice. Hyekyo's heart tug at a beat and she kenw immediately that something was wrong, or Minwoo's voice wouldn't sound so frighten and scare.
"Minwoo...what is it?" asked Hyekyo, hoping that it has nothing to do with Meena. She knew Meena's hatred towards her already. But her wish didn't came true.
"Hyekyo!! Meena eloped with Jin-Ho!!" Minwoo cried.
This caught Hyekyo off guards and she was shock. "Excuse me!?" she choked out.
"They eloped!!" cried Minwoo. "I have no frikin reason why but they did!"
"Minwoo...relax!! Now...where did they go??" asked Hyekyo.
"I don't know!! If I knew I wouldn't be calling you right now!! I would have been after Meena if I knew, Hyekyo!! It's just...I can't believe it!! Meena...how could she!!? And of any guys BUT Jin-Ho!!!!" Minwoo was getting frustrated.
"Okay...calm down...I'll come over..," said Hyekyo.
"Sure...," Minwoo said. Both hung up and Hyekyo left her breakfast. She threw on a jacket and got into her car, driving over to Minwoo's mansion. When she got there, Minwoo was angrily seated on his sofa, murmuring such harsh words.
"Minwoo..," said Hyekyo as she enter. Minwoo looked up. He had on the same face he did when he had found out about Meena's relationship with Jin-Ho. His eyes was of a ruby red colour. Hyekyo hesitated, not wanting to go near him, afraid that he would strike her like he had did in the past. But something in her brought forth courage and she walked towards Minwoo.
"Hyekyo...Meena just call...she had left to Paris...," Minwoo said as Hyekyo sat down next to him.
"Oh..," said Hyekyo. "Minwoo...what are you going to do..??"
"I don't know..," mumbled Minwoo. Hyekyo said nothing for a while. "Go home..." Hyekyo was shock. She stared at Minwoo, perplexed for a moment. Minwoo's elbow was resting on his knee, his chin resting on his hand. He was concetrating on the ground. Now he turned to her. "Go home, Hyekyo. You haven't eat yet as far as I know of..." He softly stroke her hair.
But Hyekyo was angry. She didn't know why he call her, made her worry, she came over, and he was going to send her back home. Just like that!! As if she was nothing important. Hyekyo stood up and walked out.
"Hyekyo..," said Minwoo.
Hyekyo stopped walking and turned to Minwoo from the doorway.
"Don't worry about me...and about our plans...let's just say we could go back to the mountains anytime..," said Minwoo. Hyekyo nodded and left.
That afternoon, she got a message. Hyekyo clicked on the button and Minwoo's voice came through.
"Hyekyo...it's me...Minwoo. I'm going to Paris to look for Meena. I just want you to know that I don't want Meena to do this and am getting her back. Don't worry about me, Hyekyo. Just eat and sleep for me, okay? Love you as wide as the ocean, as everlasting as time." Click.
Hyekyo said nothing. A tear slowly dropped down from her eyes and slid down her cheek. She sniff a bit. Hyekyo didn't erase the message. She collasp onto the sofa, suddenly tired and weak.
'Minwoo...what happen to our...happy ending??' she thought.
