(On the streets, filming “At The Threshold Of An Era”)(Flora and Gallen had a few outdoor scenes today)
LOUIS: (walking towards Flora) Hi Flora, ready with Scene 21?
FLORA: (nods her head confidently) Emmm, I’m ready.
LOUIS: Ok, we’ll start in 15 minutes’ time, anyway Flora, can I see you after this? I’ll something to discuss with you. (she nods her head)
Flora then started practicing her lines again, because she is a conscientious and diligent worker who would want no mistakes in her next scene, a difficult one where she had to shout and blabber like a mad girl because she was guilty she caused Sabrina’s death… 15 minutes passed…
LOUIS: Get ready everybody! Camera rolls… action!
HELEN/FLORA: (drunk, walking unsteadily and raising her voice) Now everything I do can cause others to suffer, I hate myself so much, stop following me, I’ll get you into trouble.”
TIM/GALLEN: (following her from behind) I don't know what to say, but I can tell you you can’t hold your liquor well.
HELEN: I’m worse in other aspects, I’m selfish, indomitable, not caring for others’ feelings, not caring for others’ life…
TIM: You’re so troublesome, stop remembering your classmate’s accident…
HELEN: (turns around and cuts in, shouting) It’s Sabrina! She called Daddy before her suicide! (squats down and cries out loud)
TIM: (squats down besides her) How do you feel? Cry all your unhappiness out.
HELEN: (lifts up her head) I thought I would feel better after crying, but why am I such a failure?
TIM: Failure? You’re far from that. There’s a person, who said he wanted to struck it rich when he was 14, and buy a bigger house for his family, until now, he’s still unsuccessful in life, his family are worried about him, his friends are suffering because of him, and a woman almost got into jail because of him. In the end, he needs to work for your Daddy, and cooking curry’s flavor all the time, isn’t he a failure? But I’m not like you who blame everything on myself, we are both healthy beings, but you have something extra. (Helen looks at him innocently) It’s a burden, an unnecessary burden, even though Sabrina’s death may be somehow related to you, but she’s already dead, can she be revived? I feel that you are trying to find excuse for yourself to be a lazy bum with your present attitude.
HELEN: (softens down) It’s hard to be a human…
TIM: (continues his lecture) Have anyone ever told you it’s easy to be a human? Being a human is like this, think of it, who has never caused any pain to others ever since he or she was born? Didn’t your mum suffered when she was carrying you? Wasn’t she worried about your grades when you was studying? Weren’t your suitors disappointed when they failed in pursuing you? You got straight ‘A’ s, because there are many people getting ‘E’s behind you, but this is how the world works. It will just depends on whether you are strong enough to accept these facts.
HELEN: (gently) That means, someone will be happy to see me in this state?
TIM: (firmly) Yes, your opponent, but it won’t be me for sure. You must remember, no matter how many people are caring for you, what matters is how you look at things, and face the world.
HELEN: (in an extreme gentle and innocent tone) I can’t drive, could you see me home?
TIM: (smiles) Of course. Where did you park your car? (They look at each other and smiled again)
LOUIS: Cut! Very good, both of you. Flora, your emotions were perfectly controlled, and Gallen, thumbs up for your long lines. Flora…
FLORA: Emmm, you said you wanted to see me… Can you give me a minute? (She runs towards Roger and whispers into his ears)(Gallen and Louis wondered what she said to Roger)(runs back towards Louis) Ok.
LOUIS: Emmm, let’s talk inside my car…
Flora follows him into his car, Gallen wondered what Louis was going to tell her, because he looked so secretive, then he recalled something… Valentine’s day is just 2 weeks away, could Louis be…… With this thought, he tried to perform lip-reading on Louis and scrutinize every single expression or response Flora could give… He could not really figure out what Louis was telling Flora, but Flora was practically amused or at least feeling pleasant at his words because she was smiling all the way… Gallen felt uneasy, and he is practically staring at Louis with enmity…
Flora walked out of his car, turning behind to give a final flying kiss to Louis… Gallen wondered what Louis had said to her, now he has another competitor… He looked down disappointedly, and soon a pat on his shoulder woke him up…
GALLEN: What? (Gallen turns around and raises his voice by 10 decibel)
ROGER: (got a shock) What? Huh? Why are you so…
GALLEN: (cuts in, guiltily) I… I’m sorry… I didn’t mean it…
FLORA: (walks up towards them) What’s the matter? You two look so stern!
GALLEN: (musters his courage, smiling) Emmm, Flora… What were you talking with Cool man? You seem so cheery…
FLORA: (naughtily) I won’t tell you! It’s a secret between us! (smiling and lowering her head) Hey, got to go, see you! (turns and walk towards Moses)
Gallen kept his charming smile. He was worried, yes, he was. He never knew Flora could mean so much to her. Or was it pure infatuation? Or is he just getting too involved that he fell for Helen, and not Flora? Helen was indeed a perfect girlfriend 99% males would like to have. The remaining 1% is either gay or blind. He lets out a soft chuckle. Yes, Helen was so pure, innocent and devoted to Tim… Wait! It’s Tim, not him. How he wish he could transform into Tim immediately and have a perfect Helen by his side… the next minute, he finds himself missing Flora badly, she just got into the car and left…

(In the car)
MOSES: How’s filming? You’re real tired, aren’t you? (takes a glance at the tired and sleepy Flora)
FLORA: (opens her eyes) Filming is smooth today… and the last scene was perfect! We took just a take, Gallen is really very professional, I’ll need to learn more from him… (yawns)(thinks about what Louis had told her and chuckles out)
MOSES: (turn to look at her, red lights) Flora, why are you laughing to yourself? What’s wrong? Practicing your scenes? Reminiscing the scenes?
FLORA: (cracks out) Ha ha… what a fertile imagination! You think I’m mad? (makes a puppy face which Moses laughs at) Drive faster, I’m tired! (Yawns again)
MOSES: (teasing her) That is your favorite line: Drive faster…
FLORA: (closing her eyes) Hey Mr. Chan, for your information, it’s… (takes a glance at her watch) almost 12 midnight now, and I have just finished so many scenes, and normally by this time I’m with Robert De Niro…
MOSES: (shocked) Huh? What? Robert De Niro?
FLORA: (giggles) In my dreams, you fool!
Moses cracks out happily and laughs at Flora’s silliness, and at his own’s… He was about to call her name, but when he turns to his left, he finds his little Flora sleeping soundly like a baby, with her head tilted to her left and her hands are still grabbing her scripts… “Silly Girl” He thought… Silently and skillfully, he plants a kiss on her right cheek, and she turned her head. What a fright, before he knew it, his face had gone red…

(The next morning)(Flora’s house)(Doorbell rings)(Flora opens the door)
MICHELLE: Hello! Flora Ka Jai, long time no see…
FLORA: Oh, Michelle… what’s up?
MICHELLE: I’m here to pass something to you, from my father…
FLORA: Oh, Yee Suk (2nd Uncle) has something for me? Come in, Michelle… (closes the door after her)
MICHELLE: (sits down on the sofa) Yes, it’s a crystal... (the doorbell rings before she could finish her sentence)
FLORA: Sorry, give me a minute. (open the door and sees a stranger) Emmm, may I know if you’re looking for?
MAN: I’m looking for you.
FLORA: But I don't know you…

Why is he looking for Flora when Flora doesn't even know him? Is he a fan asking for signature? LOL... Flora seems to have a quite a handful of suitors, or I should say potential suitors, will Moses and Louis take any action? And will Gallen and Roger do so? What about the missing Bowie? Wanna know?
