LOUIS: Roger! (asks his assistant) Where is Roger? I need him to…
ROGER: (rushes up) What’s the matter, Coolman, you looking for me?
LOUIS: Yes, I need you to prepare these props… (gives him a list)(then turn to his assistant) Take care of things here, I’ll need to go to the hospital and take a look at Flora…
Someone runs towards Louis, yelling: Director Koo, we can’t persuade that Mr. Lee to rent us his place for another day, but we need it for tomorrow’s scene…
LOUIS: (mumbles) But Kenix and Sunny have a tight schedule to follow… (hesitates for a moment) Ok, I’ll go with you to persuade him… (to assistant) Please clear up the things here… and… Roger, please tell Flora I’ll visit her later, thanks! (walks away hastily)

(In the hospital)(Flora’s ward)(5.30 p.m.)
BOWIE: (besides Flora) Flora, the doctor said you just sprained your wrist and hurt your knee, the injuries are quite superficial, so don’t be so worried…
FLORA: (scrutinizing her face in front of her mirror) I wonder if there’ll be a scar…
BOWIE: (chuckles) Look at you, you are not even caring for your swollen knee… although the doctor did said the injuries are superficial, but surely it hurts, doesn’t it? (knits his eyebrows)
FLORA: You bet it does… (touching her left wrist)(mumbles to herself) My bracelet…
BOWIE: (noticing her change in expression) What’s the matter? Does it hurt much? Let me have a look…
FLORA: (hiding her hand away) No! You’ll only make it worse… (The TV is broadcasting some Valentine’s Day’s advertisement)(Flora takes a look and sighs) Valentine day is around the corner… Looks like I’m going to spend it alone again… (the whole room break in a moment of silence, except the breathing of them, and the thumping heartbeat of Bowie….)(he finally speaks up)
BOWIE: Flora, there’s something I need to tell you… (holds her right hand)
FLORA: (looks at him) What?
BOWIE: Can you grant me a chance to spend this Valentine day with you?
FLORA: (chuckles) I thought what it would be! Sure, since we’re both alone…
BOWIE: (looks to his right, and then to Flora again) No, what I mean is… Can this be the first Valentine day we’re spending together… as a couple?
FLORA: (drawing back her hand, and diverts her view from Bowie) Bowie, don’t joke…
BOWIE: (grabs her hand again) No, I’m serious… I’m 100% serious about you… I’ve been in love with you since last year…
FLORA: (shifts her view) But we’re… (notices something on his arm and rolls up his sleeves) This is… the scar…it’s such a deep one? (looks at Bowie shockingly) Why?

Meanwhile, Jess met Ray outside Flora’s ward…
RAYMOND: (sees Jess about to enter the room) Hey, wait!
JESS: (looks at him curiously) Why?
RAYMOND: (pulls her to a corner) My brother is inside, leave them alone…
JESS: (smirking) Oh I see… that brother of yours is trying to use his frivolous speech to cheat my Dai Ka Jai again…
RAYMOND: (angrily) What cheat? What do you know? My brother is serious about Flora-jie…
JESS: (protests) He’s just another frivolous lecher going after my Dai Ka Jai…
RAYMOND: (takes a deep breath) Do you know what my brother has done for her? He almost lost his life…
JESS: Is it THAT serious? Don’t bluff…
RAYMOND: (speaking with sense of righteous) Last Year, when they were filming “Healing Hands”, Flora-jie was harassed by a lunatic after their shoot… My brother didn’t want to blow up the matter by alerting the police, and he handled the lunatic alone… and in the end, the lunatic almost wanted his life! He was stabbed in the stomach and his hand was slashed, leaving behind a deep scar…
JESS: But… but why didn’t he called the police?
RAYMOND: He didn’t want more troubles for Flora, who was depressed because of her relative’s death that time, and he thought he could handle it because he was once a police officer too… then he told Flora to go back first while he talked to the lunatic, then…
JESS: He was attacked and didn’t tell Dai Ka Jai about it? But she would have ask him…
RAYMOND: (lowering his head) He told her he just suffered from a small cut on the hand, and Flora didn’t probe further… That’s why he’s always wearing long-sleeves shirts to hide his wound from Flora… He is so silly, he said he didn’t want Flora to be with him out of gratitude… but I still remembered that day… he stayed in the hospital for a whole week… he almost lost his life! But he still lied that he was visiting our uncle abroad… I still remembered his bloody shirt when he was sent to A&E…(getting agitated) He just love Flora too much, and that is definitely more than how much Henry loves Annie...
JESS: (realizes her mistake) I’m sorry, I didn’t know what he did for Dai Ka Jai… but he’s really silly…
RAYMOND: (looks up at her) So can you give them some peaceful moments now? (Jess nods her head)

(In Flora’s ward)
FLORA: (looks at Bowie’s scar) Is this the wound you’ve incurred last year? You told me it was just a cut…
BOWIE: No… it’s just a small wound… it’s over, don’t mentioned it…
FLORA: (feeling guilty) Did you…
BOWIE: (butts in) Emmm… Flora, I suddenly recalled I have something to attend to.. I’ll make a move first… (walks out hastily, ignoring Flora’s call)(Closes the door after him)
RAYMOND: Gor, why are you out so fast? You…
BOWIE: (pulls Raymond) Ray, let’s go… (to Jess) See you, Jess…
JESS: See you… (she wonders why Bowie is in such a hurry)(Then she opens the door)
FLORA: Jess? Did you see Bowie?
JESS: (closes the door) Yes, he was in such a hurry.. I wonder why? (put down her fruit basket)(sighs)(looks at Flora) What did he tell you?
FLORA: (pauses for a moment) He told me he liked me…
JESS: (anxiously) Did he mention that he almost lost his life over you?
FLORA: (looks at her) What are you talking about?
JESS: (mumbles to herself) So he’s a real gentleman, I was wrong about him…
FLORA: (looks at her with anxiety) What happened actually? What do you know? Jess, tell me.. (pulling her sleeves)
Taking a deep breath, Jess repeated every single word Raymond had told her… Flora feels her heart bleeding… She just didn’t know how much she meant in Bowie’s heart in the past, but now she does… Tears rolled continuously down her cheeks, and Jess couldn’t help but spoke up.
JESS: Dai Ka Jai.. (passes her a tissue) I’m sorry I spoke bad of him before…
FLORA: (shakes her head) I owe him too much!

(In the hospital)(8.30 p.m.)
ROGER: (knocks and comes in) Flora, are you ok? (putting down his boutique) I’m sorry I has to find some props for Coolman before I can leave… and he said he will visit you soon…
FLORA: (smiles slightly) It’s ok… I’m alright… it’s just superficial injuries…
ROGER: (getting uptight) Look how your knee is wrapped up! And you call this superficial? I must ask the doctor…
FLORA: (calls out) Biu Gor! I’m really okay… it’s true, you don’t have to alert the doctor, but I’ll be staying here for a couple of days…
ROGER: Just a couple of days? Are you sure? You must listen to the doctor and stay here so you could recover…
FLORA: (smiling) Dear Biu Gor…… I’m really ok…
ROGER: (about to cry) You… you didn’t know how worried I was when you almost fell down… you don't know how much it pains me seeing you in this state…
FLORA: (holding his hand) I’m ok, Biu Gor… (giving a confirmative look) I’m REALLY ok…
ROGER: (grabbing her hand) But I’m not, Biu Mui… I’m really afraid I’ll lose you at that moment… My heart practically sank… I really need you a lot, can you give me a chance, Flora… (pleading sincerely) Please…
FLORA: I’m sorry… I can’t… you’ve always been a brother to me, and I have no wish to alter our relationship…
ROGER: (letting go of her hand) I knew it… (looking down) I just thought I want to give it a shot before I officially give up… (forces a smile)
FLORA: (looking at him seriously) Are you… really ok? Biu Gor…
ROGER: I am… But Gallen is not too well…
FLORA: Huh? What happened to him?
ROGER: He looked even paler than you do when you was just rescued just now… But I think he’s heading home for a rest… he was practically trembling, and his heart almost fell out!
FLORA: (looks at him with disbelief) Need you exaggerate so much!
ROGER: (putting on a smile) Hehe, just to make you worry for him!
FLORA: (blushing a bit) Why are you spouting… Is he ok now?
ROGER: I don't know… perhaps you can give him a call to show concern… he really likes you very much… and I can’t match his love for you, so I’m giving up… (took a deep gasp and smiles) Frankly speaking, Biu Mui… have you ever considered him? He’s a nice guy, a nice friend… and a nice boyfriend too…
FLORA: (yawns) I won’t talk to you… I need to rest now…
ROGER: (standing up) Ok, then I will leave you to think about him… Have a good rest… Bye. (Flora waves him goodbye)
He turns to give his dear Flora a final glance, and closes the door after him. He did felt depressed by Flora’s rejection, but on the other hand, he is relieved that he can finally get his answer. Sincerely, he hopes that his best friend could have a happy ending with Flora…

Gallen tiptoed towards Flora’s ward and be as careful as possible, looking left and right… He finally arrived safely at her doorstep but was stopped by a voice behind him, and he turned to face her…
GALLEN: Yes?
NURSE: Hello, mister, this is a hospital, not a pet shop… if your little hamster need medical care, you could bring it to a vet. Animals are not allowed here…
GALLEN: I’m sorry Miss… But this hamster is very important to my friend, I promise I won’t let it out!
NURSE: You’re bringing a hamster to a patient? That could be serious!
Before Gallen could make another response, Flora stepped out limping from her room…
FLORA: What’s the matter? Gallen? (looking at the cage with him) Valentine? (smiles immediately)
NURSE: This mister said he is bringing the hamster to visit you, I supposed? But animals are not allowed here…
FLORA: (in a pleading tone) Please, Charmaine, can you just keep an eye closed? Please…
CHARMAINE/NURSE: (smiles) Fine… Just for you, my dear friend, I’ll break a rule… Remember not to let it out!
FLORA: (smiling) Sure, thanks!
Charmaine walked away, leaving Gallen and Flora on the corridor. Gallen looked at her shyly, still holding the cage tight. Little valentine woke up and walked around the cage.
FLORA: (pulling Gallen’s hand) Let’s go in, quick! (they went back into her ward and closes the door) Why did you bring Valentine here? And how did you got hold of him?
GALLEN: (puts on a smile) Remember who you left him with?
FLORA: (pauses for a second) Jess! I told her to bring Valentine to a vet because he is a bit unwell… But that is impossible, how could you have known her?
GALLEN: The world is just too small… I had wanted to buy some tidbits for little Valentine… and I met her in “MY HAMSTER WORLD” 2 days ago… the moment I sees Valentine, I recognized him, and requested Jess to let me pet him for a few days after he visited the vet…
FLORA: (rolls her eyes) That Jess! How could she have left my little Valentine with a guy she don’t even know!
GALLEN: How could she have not know me? We had a chat and she told me how she enjoyed my series…
FLORA: (chuckles) Aren’t you arrogant!
GALLEN: (smiles) I’m afraid you’ll be bored, so I brought him here… Are your injuries serious? You were limping just now…
FLORA: Ouch! It hurt so much!
GALLEN: (uptight and rushing over her side) Flora! Are you alright?
FLORA: (cracks out) I was just pulling your leg, look how anxious you are… (Gallen smiled sheepishly)(Flora looked at her wrist) Hmmm…
GALLEN: What’s the matter?
FLORA: (looks very unhappy) My bracelet is lost… it was a gift from Bowie… And now it’s gone…
GALLEN: You mean the crystal dolphin bracelet you’ve been wearing?
FLORA: (nods her head) Looks like I won’t be able to find it… (yawns again)
GALLEN: (looks at her) Looks like you’re really tired, I’ll get going… Let Valentine keep you accompany.
