Yeon Hee crossed her hands upon her chest with her feet tapping the ground, arching an eyebrow at Jaejoong.
“Seems your combat skill isn’t the only thing you sharpen all these years.”
Jaejoong shrugged innocently at her remark.
“I am telling the truth yet you don’t believe me.”
“Okay, I would like to hear some truth. What are you doing in Osaka, Jaejoong?”
Jaejoong knew that was coming. He smirked slightly before bringing his sight to her.
“Actually I am here for important matters…” He let his sentence broke off there as a serious expression was plastered on his face.
“I am here to find out about my twin brother.”
“Twin brother?” Yeon Hee uttered in surprise. Jaejoong never seem bothered about his previous family after adoption. Yeon Hee was surprise he was now searching for his long-lost family, even more surprise that it was the existence of a twin brother.
“Yes, we were separated when he was adopted by this family in my absence. It is complicated. All I know is he goes by the name Uemura Kazuki now and been staying with his fiancée Ueto Aya before his whereabouts went unknown for almost 3 years now. I am now temporary taking his identity at her place, trying to dig out as much as I could to find him back.”
“Really?” Yeon Hee doesn’t look convinced.
“Like I say… No one believes me when I am telling the truth.”
Jaejoong could see the guilt brushed on Yeon Hee’s face when he finished. Who could blame her, she knows him too well to tell whether he was telling the truth. After all, all the skills he possessed now were taught by his master – short to say, her father. But there would always be flaws to the degree of understanding she has on him.
“Maybe this could help prove my truth.”
Jaejoong stretches his hand into his jean pocket and took out a piece of brownish yellow photo. He held it out to Yeon Hee and she took it before her face, glancing on at the photo of a family. There were a lady and a man, wrapping their arms around a pair of identical-looking boys.
“I got this from Ms. Sung from the orphanage. She said this is my family photo, left down by the person who brought my brother and I to the orphanage.”
Jaejoong starts explaining the incident Ms. Sung told him about the day he and his twin brother got separated and how he had no image of his brother’s existence. Yeon Hee listens to his words intensely, nodding occasionally on his words.
“I see… But that doesn’t explain why you went to see Mr. Choi.”
“Who?” Jaejoong played innocent. He furrowed his eyebrows to a thought for a moment before returning his gaze to Yeon Hee.
“Ah~ that old man today. I was just accompanying him to a game of chess.”
“A game of chess? I would believe things going that simple if Mr. Choi isn’t who I know he is.”
Jaejoong still gave Yeon Hee that innocent bewildered look, waiting for her to continue her revelation.
“Mr. Choi is the big guy of the black trial here. Don’t tell me you don’t have the slightest clue about that?” Yeon Hee asked incredulously. Jaejoong just shrugged his shoulder innocently before letting a grin to his face.
“It seems I have a magnet of attracting guys like that, don’t I? No wonder you were suspicious of me.”
“You… you really didn’t know? Then how did you got to know him?”
“Well, I only know his son has some feelings for Ueto Aya. I wanted to investigate further on the matter. My brother was missing so long with no news at all of his whereabouts… who knows maybe that guy was furious of my brother being with Aya and-”
“Siwon won’t do such thing!!” Yeon Hee cut in with her voice raised.
“Well it was just an assumption since he seems to have so many black-suited men around the place and looks heavy-guarded, I thought he was some filthy rich guy or imp– Wait, Yeon Hee… do you…?” Jaejoong let his voice trailed off.
“Yes, I like Siwon. And I know him. He won’t do such things. He never agreed to his father’s way of handling thing.” Yeon Hee explained, her face still frown to Jaejoong’s words.
“I’m sorry, Yeon Hee. I didn’t mean to sound offending.” Jaejoong apologized. The frown on Yeon Hee’s face dims down and a sad expression was plastered on her face as she lowered her head.
“It’s okay. Siwon and I are past history now. I been keeping the feelings all to myself.” Yeon uttered a heavy sigh and lift her eyes up to the sky once before returning her view to Jaejong.
“I am currently working as a private doctor of Mr. Choi. And I know he isn’t someone to mess with, Jaejoong. I’m just hoping you won’t have any matter to concern with him.” Yeon Hee looks worriedly at Jaejoong. Jaejoong let out a mild smile, reaching his hand out to Yeon Hee’s shoulder and gave it a light pat before squeezing it lightly.
“Don’t worry Yeon Hee. I have taken precautions on whatever I am and about to do. I won’t let you worry of me. But… I am hoping to keep our relationship a secret, since I am taking on someone else’s identity now. I am afraid things could get messy and get you involve. So it is best that we treat each other like strangers here and don’t see each other too often.”
Yeon Hee nodded and Jaejoong let out a relief smile.
“Well, I got to go now. Aya may be suspicious that I am gone so long.”
“Okay. Take care Jaejoong.” Jaejoong nodded and waves goodbye to Yeon Hee before he walks off. Yeon Hee cast one last glance at Jaejoong’s back leaving farther away from her before she turns to the other direction and left. She still wasn't convinced with his words, so she will be keeping an eyes on things as it goes from here.

Jaejoong walks along the street, biting his lower lip with his eyebrows furrowed.
{Hmm… what to do… what to do…} Jaejoong thought to himself.
He stopped his pace when his eyes landed on the jewelry store to his right. Among the many beautiful display of jewelry by the glass window, one caught his sight. A simple design but the meaning it conveys is what that counts.
Jaejoong smirked, thinking even luck is on his side to help him through this. He stepped into the store and was greeted by the lady upon the counter with a polite bow.
“I would like that necklace by the display there.”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The door slowly creaked open with the light squeaking sound made by the bottom of the door brushed against the floor. Jaejoong steps into the house, taking care not to alert his return. He took off his shoes, placing them on the shoe rack beside and made his way through the darkness to Aya’s room.
The light from Aya’s room shone out to the corridor through the slightly opened door. Jaejoong paused by the door and peek through the gap of the door.
Aya sat there by the bed with the same posture he had seen her earlier that day. Her upper body was slightly bent with her head lowered, looking down to her hands held together on her lap. Jaejoong gave a light knock to the door, loud enough for her to hear his presence.
She turned away from the side view he seen of her, now having her back facing the door. Jaejoong slowly swings the open wider and steps in, heading to her side. He crouched down in front of her and let one hand pushed back the hair spill down covering her face. His gaze was then met with a pair of red swollen eyes.
“Aya, how long have you been crying?” He lifts his fingers to the edge of her eyes, wiping on the damp and sticky trail of smear tears.
“Long enough.” Aya answered through cracked voice.
Jaejoong took her pale hands into his and rubs them lightly. She glanced down at his lowered head, feeling the urge to break down again but held herself back. She needed gather herself strong to confront him again. Just as her lips parted to utter her words, Jaejoong spoke up first.
“I’m sorry Aya. Sorry for raising my voice to you and sorry for walking out at you like that. I owe you an explanation about that ring and I am gonna explain things to you now.”
He stood up and went to sit beside Aya by the bed, turning her to face him before he took hold of her hands into his again.
“I didn’t want to talk about it but since you found out, no matter how painful it was… you deserve to know…”
“Kazu-”
Jaejoong lifts a finger to her lips, shutting her of what she wanted to say.
“Hear me out… It all happened a few years back, it had been a period of time arriving at Korea and being under Sensei. I have this senior that had followed Sensei for quite some years now. He took very good care of me and helped me out a lot. We became very close, like brothers…. Until I met her.”
“E?”
Jaejoong brought his sight to Aya and nodded.
“She was this girl he had a crush on for quite a while. And it turns out she worked in the same café I worked part-time at. He never had the guts to confess, so I thought I lend in the hand to be matchmaker, which I shouldn’t have…”
Silence grasps them for a moment before Jaejoong continued.
“I dug out lots of info about her… what she likes, what she hates… and told them all to him so he would use them to his advantage to get to her. And not long later he succeeded and she was officially his girlfriend. I was happy for him. Everything worked out perfectly to my plan that I never see it coming… that she suddenly came to me saying the one she actually loves is me.”
Aya was shocked to hear that twist; how this all gonna end already pictured in her mind like one of those sad ending of a story. Jaejoong chuckled bitterly before he continues.
“Of all times, she confessed to me just after I followed my senior to pick up a ring for the proposal he was going to make to her. She said she was devastated that I didn’t see how she felt about me and just shove her off to him!! That it was nice being with him but she still could not let go of her love of me!! And she… begged me to accept her!! I… I rejected her and tries to walk off but she… she pleaded me… gripping on me not letting me leave and suddenly forced her lips on me.”
Aya could see how upset and frustrated Jaejoong was as he moves his hands up and down yet restraining from raising both his hands out too dramatically and avoid the skyrocket of his emotions.
“It’s okay, Kazuki. Just let it out slowly.” She spoke softly and held onto his hand to calm him of his movement. Jaejoong slapped one hand to his forehead, sliding it down slightly to cover his eyes, letting his lips tremble.
“He… he saw that. He was furious but he didn’t show it. Instead he calmly put on a smile and asks me to take care of her. I yelled out at him… asking him to come back but he just kept running and I kept chasing…. Till at the end right before my eyes… I saw how the car crashed onto him and he laid there… by the road drowning in the puddle of his own blood.”
“Kazuki… please… stop… Please stop! You don’t have to continue if you can’t take it!” Aya shook his hand fiercely, knowing how hard it is for him to reminisce this painful past.
“Let me finish this, Aya!” Jaejoong shouted.
“Kazuki…” Tears gathered in Aya’s eyes made the vision before her blurry, but the pain slowly gathered in her heart from listening to this felt sharp.
“As I stood there by his side, he gathered the remaining strength within him and held out the ring to my palm. Before he took his last breath… he said… Take good care of her, Kazuki… help me make her the happiest girl in the whole world… give her this ring when you propose to her… if you would do that… I won’t mind leaving like this…”
Aya promptly hugged him, her hand smoothing his back and whispering to him that it was okay. Jaejoong pulled himself from Aya’s hug and cupped her face with both hands, gazing into her eyes.
“Even after that, I never accepted her love, cause I know you were still waiting for me. I rather be taken in by the guilt of not being able to fulfill his last wish… then to betray your love to me… because you are forever the one and only love of my life…”
“Kazuki… I’m sorry. I didn’t know. It must have been hard on you.”
Jaejoong stretches his hand into his jean pocket and lift out his hand as a fist to Aya. Aya’s eyes widened when Jaejoong opened his palm, revealing a necklace. When Jaejoong saw her just stunned there, he spoke up.
“I bought this for you. Was going to surprise you earlier but-”
“This so beautiful…” Aya gasped, lifting the necklace before her face and glance at the pendant. It was a gold paint palette shaped with glittering small diamonds in the middle forming the alphabet ‘A’. Besides the pendant, there was also a small silver paintbrush charm attached along the necklace.
“May I?”
Aya nodded before turning her back to face him. She lifts one hand to push her hair to one side.
“It was hard on me… facing something like that…” Jaejoong started as he wore the necklace around Aya’s neck, locking the seal together before turning Aya to face him again. He placed both hands on her shoulder and gaze into her eyes.
“But it was nothing compared to having you doubt me. That is the hardest to bear of all.”
Aya slides her hand wrapping Jaejoong from behind, resting her head on his chest below his collarbone.
“I am sorry for even having the slightest doubt on you. You loved me so much that you never left me far from your thoughts, constantly thinking about my well-being. I was foolish to think that the person that loves me the most in this whole entire world… would stop loving me… would do anything to harm me.”
Jaejoong wrapped his arms around her, hugging her close to his embrace. Seeing her head lowered down staring at the necklace she held on her palm, a smirk crept up his lips.
“I am glad you know that…” he whispered.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jaejoong reached back to his room and tossed his bag to the floor by the bed before throwing him onto the bed and lay sprawled, staring at the ceiling above. The breeze blowing through the window whispers softly to his ears as his eyes were shut. After allowing himself a short moment of light breathing, he sat up with his eyes flashed open again, staring at the view of the moon seen through the transparent curtains of the window flowing lightly to the breeze.
He took out the family photo in his jean pocket and glanced at it with a smirk.
“It seems my brother have some use after all. Landing me on this big catch and a good tool for lying.”
He picked up his gun, which he had hid carefully in a secret place and caress it’s surface lightly, checking if the amount of bullets in it was sufficient. Out of a sudden, he darted his eyes to the photo frame on the table and swiftly aim his gun to the image of Aya on the photo.
“If you really love her Kazuki, you would hurry back and see her for the last time. No hard feelings brother, it’s just the way I have lived all these years.”
Jaejoong reeled back his gun and kept it back to its hidden spot.

Author's Note: Jaejoong is sooo 'noble', is he? I am making him so evil thinking up of such excuse, making Aya completely trust in him and not ever doubt him. I think this excuse is better, right? *looking at Xiaoxi* :P Even after finding out about his brother he still doesn't give up on his mission. XD So... think Jaejoong will really kill Aya?
