“Finding Jaejun is my top priority now.”
Jaejoong had just told Changmin briefly about how he regained his lost memories and now wanting to find his lost twin brother again. But he seems to be neglecting a very important issue at hand.
“Hyung, you are not answering my question. What about the mission?” Jaejoong’s face went still for a moment.
“What about it? Both matters don’t come between one another.” He answered with a careless look. Changmin scoffed in disbelief.
“Don’t come between one another?! Have you not figured the pieces together yet? Uemura Kazuki is YOUR brother. Aya Ueto is HIS fiancée. How can you expect to just go through killing your brother’s wife-to-be?” Jaejoong tilted his face to the side and had an annoyed expression on.
“Which is why I am not killing her now and stalling it till I find Jaejun. So you better find out his whereabouts fast.”
“Then what? I let you kill his fiancée right in front of his eyes?! Some impression you gonna make.” Jaejoong turned back to Changmin with a glare.
“Hyung, do you know what’s more painful than watching the person you loved killed in front of your eyes? It’s watching the person you loved killed by your own brother right in front of your eyes.” Jaejoong sighed and looked away with a careless face, laying his legs crossed on the table and folded his arms upon his chest.
“Maybe that’s my intention…” Jaejoong mumbled inaudibly.
“People say girls’ sixth sense is very accurate. But I think a guy’s one isn’t that bad either.” Jaejoong looked back at Changmin coldly.
“What are you trying to say, Changmin?” He demanded. Changmin scoffed and shook his head.
“I hope I didn’t understand you too well. But if I do, I feel you involved some very personal feelings into this mission and you want to be rid of it forever by going through with this.” Jaejoong looked away and his eyes just coincidently landed on the photo of Kazuki and Aya on the table.
“You’ve been talking to Yeon Hee, haven’t you?” He asked in that cold tone. Changmin sighed softly.
“Is it worth sacrificing everything for this career? Your career isn’t your life hyung. Why make yourself so… inhuman?” Changmin questioned in a very upset and disappointing tone.
“Because I am not human anymore. Not ever since those years.” Jaejoong answered much coldly.
“Hyung…”
“You are given orders and so you are suppose to just follow along with it, Shim Changmin. That’s your purpose in the team. Don’t ever forget that. Nothing personal.” Jaejoong returned to Changmin with an emotionless face that made Changmin’s heart sunk of hopes.
“Right… nothing personal. I will get back to you as soon Kim Jaejoong.” Changmin replied with a very down voice. He was able to shut of the conferencing when he just couldn’t resist adding that one line.
“Don’t try to push everything away from your life in reason to protect them. Not everyone needs your decision to keep them safe and protected.” With that, Changmin left the line. Jaejoong leaned back against his chair and ran a hand through his hair. Chuckling bitterly, his hand ran down to cover his eyes for a moment before sliding off his face completely, letting the sadness visible in his eyes.
“What’s wrong with protecting everyone from me? I am not worth anyone.” He tilted his face to the direction of a mirror placed not far from him on the table and stared at it.
“Let there be just one person with this face in the world. Kim Jaejoong is nothing more than an abandonment this world will never remember.”

Jaejoong was staring blankly to the front when he felt a tug to his neck. Snapping off, he looked down and saw Aya’s mother smiling gently to him while helping him with the tie he had on.
“You been fiddling with this for the past minutes now. Do you not know how to wear one of this or you just…” She hung her sentence as she finished off by pushing the tie firmly up his neck.
“… have something on your mind?” She continued, showing him a smile that shows concerns.
“It’s nothing, Mrs. Ueto. Just didn’t have enough sleep last night.” He answered, forcing a smile to his face to show he was fine.
“Too excited about the big event, aren’t we?” Aya’s mother teased and Jaejoong gave a chuckle.
“Aren’t you helping Aya?” Jaejoong asked her as she brushed her hands on his coat, making sure it was neat and wrinkleless.
“She is-”
Aya’s mother stopped her words when both she and Jaejoong heard a shriek and darted their eyes to see Aya stumbling towards them as she held the edge of her gown. She stopped a distance from them and beamed awkwardly.
“Heh~ Wonder why they all have to be so long.” Aya said with pink blushes tinted her cheeks. Jaejoong stared dumbfounded at her. He was mesmerized by how angelic and stunning she looked in the strapless white wedding gown she had on that fits finely to her waist showing the curve of her figure. The side of it gathered in folding layers shows the slight uniqueness of the simple design.
Aya’s mother chuckled as she went up to her daughter’s side.
“Silly girl. You aren’t wearing your heels. Of course they are slightly longer than what they are suppose to be.” She said as she patted the dress neatly and checked around to see if adjustments are needed anywhere.
“Hmm.. Maybe we should adjust the waist tighter a little. Oh. Better not. If you gain a little weight by then the dress won’t fit.” Aya’s mother kept muttering.
“Kaa-san~” Aya whined and stuck out her usual pout. She turned away from her mother and landed her eyes on Jaejoong, still standing there with that stunned face.
“H-how do I look? Is this okay?” She asked nervously, twiddling with her fingers.
Jaejoong quickly regained himself and flashed her a warm smile.
“You look beautiful.”
The gentleness of his compliment made Aya lowered her gaze shyly and her smile curved wider.
“Oh! Should I get a hair extension or something? Probably will look better with the matching accessories.” Aya touched all over the edge of her hair as she glanced at herself on the mirror.
“No!” Jaejoong suddenly shouted out, causing Aya and her mother’s attention to be switched on him.
“You look perfect the way you are. I couldn’t have asked for a better bride.”
Jaejoong’s words caused Aya to lowered her head to hide her face flushed red. Just then, Aya’s mother cleared her throat to get the twos’ attention.
“We don’t have all day. The photographer has waited long enough now. Let’s get the pictures taken.” She pushed Aya by the back, hurrying her to the studio to meet with the photographer. Aya glanced at Jaejoong once over her shoulder and Jaejoong caught her shy gaze before she turned away. He grinned to himself before following behind the two to the studio as well.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Okay, that’s about wraps it.” The photographer announced and motioned his assistant to pack up their equipments.
“Thank you, Mr. Photographer. I am sure the pictures will turn out just lovely under your capture.” Aya’s mother thanked and complimented the photographer.
Jaejoong uttered a chuckle watching from the side. He noticed that Aya’s mother still looked so energetic after working on these wedding stuffs the whole day. It shows how much this gave joy to her. Well, which mother won’t when their daughter is about to get marry.
Out of a sudden, Jaejoong’s handphone rang. He picked it up and once glanced at the screen, his expression turned cold serious. He walked further away, assuring he got some privacy by the hiding of a wall before answering the call.”
“Yes? Sure… I will be there.” Short as that, he ended the call. He walked towards Aya side and cleared his throat to get her attention.
“Aya, I need to go somewhere for awhile. I promise to be back before dinner okay?”
Aya’s face shows a slight reluctance, wanting to ask where he was going but then she let it slip and nodded. Jaejoong patted her shoulder lightly before turning to the dressing room. He was out the next minute and was already heading out of the place without much of a second look at Aya.
“Aya-chan, where is Uemura-kun?” Aya’s mother asked.
“He just had to go somewhere for a while. He will be back for dinner.” Aya answered her mother.
“Okay, get changed. We will head back to prepare dinner then.” Aya nodded and made her way to the dressing room. She stopped midway and glanced at the entrance of the place, uttering a sigh to release that feeling she has whenever he went off before continuing to the dressing room.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jaejoong was walking along the street when he slower his pace, sensing he was being followed. He tilted his face slightly to side and let a smirk once he got a quick glance to the back. He stopped when reached his destination and did a quick spin to the back, welcoming the sight of his stalker.
“I am going in to have some fun. You can come if you want… but you won’t like what you’ll see.” He smirked some more before entering the place.
Siwon sighed in frustration as he lowered his head to the side. He should very well expect that Jaejoong would notice that he was being followed. It was a fine reason for the high payment for his commitment.
Siwon lifted his head up and gulped uncomfortably as he set his eyes on the signboard of the place. He lowered his gaze again and sighed heavily as he entered the place as well.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Siwon glanced around the nightclub and rolled his eyes at the corrupted environment he sees. Darkness consuming the place with flashing of colored lights aimlessly around the place; Smell of smokes from cigarettes polluted the air and sights of people dancing dirtily on the dance floor were an eye sore. Short to say, it was an unbearable place to be at and it set Siwon disgusted even more that the jerk Kim Jaejoong was here as well.
He wandered his eyes around and finally found Jaejoong sitting there by the counter of the drink area with a girl snuggling close to him. Both of them smiled and whispered flirtingly to each other and Siwon even caught sight of Jaejoong’s hand creeping to the girl’s waist. Talk about fast acting.
Siwon went up there and sat a further seat from Jaejoong, keeping an observing view.
“What can I get you sir?” The bartender asked.
“Beer please.” Siwon answered without looking away from Jaejoong. Jaejoong glanced up and smirked at how intense Siwon was observing him.
“Babe, we need to go somewhere more… private.” He whispered to the girl beside him in a very husky and seductive voice. She bit her lower lips and nodded seductively, letting him lead her off with his hand still wrapped around her waist.
Siwon acted like he didn’t care but still kept close senses on Jaejoong. Once his drink was passed to him, Siwon downed it in three gulps, making sure each was casual and enjoying but he was actually counting down the moments. Thinking it was about time already, he had some cash hid under his palm as he slid it towards the bartender, earning an arch of the eyebrow from the bartender.
“I just need to know where those two went just now.” He said and lifted his palm, revealing the cash below. The bartender cleared his throat and leaned forward to whisper the location to Siwon while one hand swiftly took the cash and stuffed them into his pocket. Siwon nodded once the guy pulled back and quickly headed to where he was directed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Siwon crept in quiet steps once he was approaching the room and leaned his ear at the door at the room.
“Ahh~”
He heard weird noises and slowly became furious when it’s affirmed in his mind that it was moaning. He violently rammed the door open and was in rage when his view shown a girl with her back facing him, sitting on Jaejoong’s lap with Jaejoong’s hand caressing her inner thigh. The ramming interrupted their kissing and teasing session as both Jaejoong and the girl darted their eyes to Siwon standing by the door.
The girl quickly shifted herself from Jaejoong when Siwon came marching forward to Jaejoong and abruptly swung a fist to Jaejoong, only to have Jaejoong grabbed his arm by the wrist in split second before the punch would have laid on his face.
“Not this time, Choi Siwon.” He smirked. Siwon glared at him and panted heavily, showing how enrage he was.
“You just took a wedding picture with Aya and here you are already hooking up with a slut? How dare you?” Siwon spoke furiously through gritted teeth.
“You have been following me since then? Aww~ How honored it is to have the Choi young master follow me around like some paparazzi.” Jaejoong mocked. Siwon roughly swung his hand loose from Jaejoong’s grip but kept his glare on him.
“Why this place? Why after having such a pure moment with Aya?” Jaejoong scoffed.
“I couldn’t be pleased at home so what choice do I have.” Jaejoong shrugged with a careless face. Siwon hit the table hard and made the girl sitting at the corner jumped a little, but Jaejoong still kept composed with his eyes fixed with Siwon.
“Are you calling Aya a slut?” Jaejoong shook his head and wagged a finger.
“That… came out of your mouth. You should really think through what you are lacking here.” Jaejoong leaned forward and pointed a finger to his brain. Siwon grabbed Jaejoong by the collar and pulled him closer to face him.
“You are lucky Aya is too innocent to believe in all your lies. People like you know nothing about being true to yourself. Just like how Yeon Hee was never different. ” Siwon roughly released Jaejoong, letting him fall harshly against the couch.
Siwon turned and was about to stormed out of the place when Jaejoong suddenly spoke up.
“Yeon Hee… isn’t like me.” Siwon halted in place and tilted his head slightly to Jaejoong.
“Her eyes may have seen all there is in the dark world but her heart… her soul is still as pure as ever. Her tough girl act is just a shelter to strive. Life wasn’t easy for her since her parents died… and I couldn’t be there by her side.” Jaejoong stared blankly to the front as he remembered back then at Mr. Lee’s grave. Yeon Hee’s face shown sadness but no tears were shed. She wasn’t going to let herself become vulnerable and break down. It just wasn’t a time for a girl like her to be fragile or people would take advantage of her.
“I guess both of you have matched up your stories before.” Siwon’s words snapped Jaejoong’s from his thoughts.
“I know it seems there isn’t any reason to believe me.” Siwon scoffed.
“Yeon Hee once said she could assure me that you won’t do any harm to Aya. Looking at you now… only an idiot would believe that. So what makes you think I will believe her and more over… you?” Siwon ended his words coldly before leaving the place.
After Siwon vanished from his sight, Jaejoong scoffed in disbelief at his actions just now. What was he thinking talking on behalf of Yeon Hee? Something inside just took over and the words naturally came out. Maybe… he just couldn’t bear having people talking bad at his dongsaeng, especially by the person his dongsaeng really loved that didn’t really give the effort to understand who she really was.
Jaejoong downed his glass of alcohol in a go, letting some of the liquid dripped down his chin. He placed the glass back on the table and wiped his chin with his hand in one swift move.
Out of the blue, the girl crawled back on Jaejoong’s lap and stared seductively at him.
“Where were we?” She moved closer to plunge a kiss to his lips but stopped midway when she saw his eyes glaring coldly at her.
“You’ve done your part. Leave now.” He told in a serious and cold tone. She was confused so she stay reluctant at place.
“Don’t let me repeat myself.” Jaejoong threatened in his cold tone that sent the girl shiver of fear down her spine. She quickly got off him and scurried away, leaving Jaejoong sitting there with his legs loosely apart.
“Don’t let me stop your fun.”
Jaejoong darted his view by the corner of his eyes at the person now entered the room through the door connected from the other room.
“With a slut like that? My taste isn’t that shallow.” Jaejoong scoffed as he poured himself another drink and downed it just as swiftly. Ji Sung walked to the seat opposite of Jaejoong and sat down.
“Well, let’s get on to business then. The wedding is least than 3 weeks time. The boss thinks you are taking long enough to complete the task. He wants Aya dead tomorrow night.”
Jaejoong stiffen for a while before he poured another drink for himself.
“Is there a problem? Don’t tell me the almighty cold-hearted Kim Jaejoong got carried away with this and… developed personal feelings to the target?” Ji Sung asked in a mocking tone.
Jaejoong downed his drink before standing up and walked towards the door, stopping just as he swung the door opened.
“Just wait for my good news.” He muttered coldly before leaving.
Ji Sung smirked. He threw a pile of cash on the table before standing up to leave as well.

Back at the Choi Mansion, scent of alcohol filled the air of the reading room. Mr. Choi was looking as dreary as ever with his clothing and hair messed up. A knock was heard at the door and he threw an empty bottle of wine towards the wall beside the door.
“Come in.” He commanded. His butler opened the door, giving a bow as he led Ji Sung into the room. Ji Sung wrinkled his nose slightly at the scene before him before giving Mr. Choi a bow.
“Did you do as I told?”
“Yes. Boss.” Ji Sung replied.
“I have lost too much already. Now my son even left me, I have nothing to lose. I want that girl dead then I will have her dead.” Mr. Choi muttered. From the state he was in, Ji Sung take it as Mr. Choi was drunk but Mr. Choi was still quite sober despite the amount of alcohol he has consumed.
“Anything unusual about Jaejoong just now?” He questioned.
“Boss. Jaejoong seemed reluctant to confirm just now when being questioned.” Ji Sung reported.
“But he still agreed to it?” Ji Sung nodded.
“Let’s just see how things go from here. If Jaejoong comes the day after tomorrow, you know what to do.” Ji Sung nodded in understanding. Mr. Choi did a hand gesture and Ji Sung automatically dismissed himself. Mr. Choi downed the remainder of his wine before throwing the bottle to the floor, letting it smashed to pieces.

Author's Note: Jaejoong is just so unpredictable isn't he? It seems even till now you can't be sure whether he will really do it.
Where did all my readers go? (Besides aby, Anna, xiaoxi, Minyouniie & GreenHammock). My comments are getting lesser by the updates and it really doesn't motive me to continue. Silent readers, please comment once in awhile to show your support. Is my story really lengthy and boring that it doesn't deserve even a simple comment to liven my spirit? It is really depressing. I feel like stop writing stories after I am done with this and HTW. :(
Anyway, for those really still reading this fic. Hope you enjoyed the story so far. Do drop by my story blog:http://phebs-paintingfantasy.blogspot.com/
