“Here… We got this for you.”
“Thanks!” Ri In accepts the package from Yoona and Yeon Hee.
“How are you going to celebrate your birthday?” Yoona asked.
“I…”
“Ri In…”
Ri In turned to see Han Geng approaching her way.
“Sheng Re Kuai Le! (Happy birthday)” Han Geng said. He held Ri In’s hand up and wears a simple yet elegant bracelet on her wrist.
“Xie xie…” Ri In said; her head lowered shyly.
“Ah Yoona… Did you say you wanted to go to the library to get something?” Yeon Hee said, hitting Yoona lightly on the elbow.
“Oh yeah… Ri In, we are going off first. See you later.”
“Okay. Bye!” Ri In waves goodbye and Yoona and Yeon Hee walks away.
“Care to join me for a meal later on?” Han Geng asked.
“Su…”
“Ri In!”
Before Ri In could continue, she saw Junsu approaching. When Junsu saw Han Geng standing beside Ri In, he just glares at him.
“Sorry, Ri In has to come with me. Come on Ri In!”
Junsu grabs Ri In by her wrist and drags her away.
“Sorry Han Geng Oppa!”
Ri In turns to Han Geng before she was dragged away by Junsu.

Ri In was dragged by Junsu until they reached the music room.
“What are we doing here?” Ri In asked.
“What else? We still got to practice the song.”
Ri In frown; doesn’t he realize today is her birthday?
Junsu went over to the piano and started playing it to a light tune.

“Well done! You didn’t skip on your practice.” Junsu said; he saw Ri In just lowered her head, looking like she wasn’t listening to him. He cleared his throat and Ri In switches her attention to him.
“If that is all then I will be leaving now.” Ri In said sadly.
“Wait!” She was about to leave when Junsu called after her. She halted and turns herself to face Junsu.
“Erm…” Junsu was rubbing the back of his head, looking nervous like he is hesitating at something.
“What’s wrong?” Ri In asked.
Junsu held a box in his hand and stretch it out to her, looking the other direction.
Ri In took the box from him. It was a fine-looking dark blue box. She opens it and saw a very beautiful crystal violin figure inside. Her eyes widened as she stares as Junsu.
“Happy Birthday…” Junsu said while staring her straight in the eyes, giving her a smile.
Ri In lowered her head a little, not letting Junsu see the tears flowing down her face.
“Ri In what’s wrong? Did I do something wrong?” Junsu went over to her and looks at her worriedly.
“No… it’s nothing. This is the best gift I received so far. Thanks you!” Ri In said with the back of her palm covering her mouth to cover her voice sounding a little shaky as she was touched from the gift Junsu gave her.
“Okay… you can stop crying now. If people sees you they would think I bullied you.” Junsu said, sounding a little panic.
“JUNSU!!!” Yoona yelled.
{Too late!} Junsu slapped one hand on his forehead.
“Junsu! Why did you make Ri In cry? You been bullying her again haven’t you?” Yoona glared at Junsu while Yeon Hee stood beside Ri In with her hand on Ri In’s shoulder.
“You won’t believe me even if I said I didn’t. I am going off now!” Junsu said coldly and just left.
“That jerk!! Ri In are you okay?” Yoona came to Ri In side, seeing Ri In wiping off the tears on her face.
“I am fine… Junsu didn’t do anything to me.” Ri In explained.
“Really? Then why do you have tears in your eyes?” Yoona and Yeon Hee now leaned near Ri In with their eyebrow raised.
Ri In just remained silent and rushes out of the room.
“RI IN!! You can’t keep it from us forever!!” Yoona and Yeon Hee start chasing Ri In out of the music room.
Someone was looking by a corner all this time. Han Geng came out from the shadow a little and grinned watching Ri In running away from Yoona and Yeon Hee and that smile never left her face.
{I guess my work here is done…} Han Geng thought to himself.
When Han Geng turns to leave, he saw Jaejoong standing behind him. They just exchange smiles.

“I was going to tell this tomorrow but… I am leaving for China.” Han Geng said, taking a sip of his drink.
“So soon? You’re willing to leave Korea? Leave Ri In?” Jaejoong asked.
Han Geng halted from his drink, letting out a smile before he continues.
“You like Ri In too, don’t you?” Jaejoong asked again.
“Indeed Ri In develops feelings in others they themselves doesn’t realize… She is a very special girl. I am sure Junsu can give her the happiness she deserves.” Han Geng said, giving Jaejoong a smile.
“I am really impressed with you Han Geng. You really are one of a kind. I am really going to miss you when you are gone.” Jaejoong said, leaning back a little and crossing his hands together on his chest.
“Please… You sound like a girl.”
There was a moment of silence before they both burst into laughter.

“Han Geng Oppa… you are leaving already?” Ri In asked.
“Yeah… I have already delayed my stay. Should be heading back now. Take care okay?” Han Geng gently pat Ri In on the shoulder and she nod at him with a light smile on her face.
“Junsu… Can you come with me for a sec? I want to have a little talk with you.”
Ri In had a worried look on her face when Junsu follows Han Geng a little further away to have their talk. What do they have to talk about that they have to go away not letting her know?
Junsu and Han Geng walks a little distance away from Ri In and Han Geng wraps one of his arm around Junsu’s shoulder, facing their back at Ri In so she couldn’t see what are they about to talk about.
“Listen here… Ri In is like a little sister to me, now I handing her to your care but if I ever see a drop of tear of that face of hers again, you better be prepare to do some explanation to me or I will beat the hell out of you.” Han Geng whispered to Junsu.
“You mean…” Junsu looks at Han Geng with one eyebrow raised.
“Ri In is a nice girl. You better learn how to appreciate her.” With that, Han Geng laid a light punch to Junsu’s chest before he release him and walks back to Ri In. he placed his hands gently on her shoulder and gaze into her eyes.
“Ri In… take care of yourself when I am not here. If Junsu dares to bully you again, don’t hesitate to call me, I will be over in no time to defend you.”
A drop of tear rolls down Ri In’s face and Han Geng wipes it off for her.
“Don’t be like this. We will still meet again.” Han Geng leans near Ri In so his mouth was beside her ear.
“Junsu really is a nice guy. You picked the right person to love.” Han Geng whispered into Ri In’s ear and she blushed.
Han Geng turns to look at Junsu and saw Junsu was glaring at him again. He let out a smirk and distance himself from Ri In.
“Bye everyone!” Han Geng waved goodbye and walks off; leaving Ri In, Junsu and the rest of the gang staring at his back as he walks off. Junsu gave a gentle pat on the shoulder on Ri In and she smiles.

Back at China, the first time Han Geng does is goes straight to the hospital. He walks till he reached a ward, giving a light knock before he opens the door and enters.
“Ni lai le? Na wo xian gao ci.” (You are here? Then I will be leaving now) The nurse responsible to take care of the patient took her stuff and left the room, letting Han Geng be alone with the patient.
Han Geng sat at the chair beside the bed and stares at the familiar lady lying there by the bed.
“I did what you asked me to. You don’t have to worry now; Ri In is in good hands. That’s why I came back to report to you.” Han Geng said to the lady lying there motionless.
“Ri In is no longer the little girl she used to be. She doesn’t require my protection anymore. I somehow feel useless now.”
Han Geng stares at the lady and his stare became sad one.
“Ah yi, ni yi ding yao kuai xing. Li Yin hai zai deng ni.” (Auntie, you gotta wake up fast. Ri In is till waiting for you.)
Han Geng stood up and headed for the door. He took one last look before he exit. Han Geng did not want Ri In to know that her mother was actually unconscious from her sickness because it is a promise he made to Ri In’s mother.
Just as Han Geng left the room, a small drop of tear flows down Ri In’s mother’s face; her finger twitch slightly.
