“What’s wrong with you?” he asks his son who still sits on the floor “Stand up, Ximen” he pulled him upwards.
Ximen stands up but he still looks at the ring at his hands. “Pa…..she left me…..she left me pa” he continues to utter.
“What?” his father starts to shake him “What are you saying? What’s wrong with you and where did Xiao You go?”
“She left me pa…..” Ximen softly uttered.
“Left you? Why?” his fathers starts to get confused.
He looks straight at his father “She saw me with Xiao Gen in Filho and……she heard me talking that I don’t want her anymore….” Ximen starts to tremble.
Ximen closed his eyes for he doesn’t want to see his father’s angry face and holds on to the ring in his hands.
“She already left you…….” He’s father said “……then everything would be fine now. I went here to talk to her and ask her to leave you” he said.
Ximen’s eyes starts to open, he didn’t expect his father to say that. “Pa?!”
“Xiao Gen’s parents ask me if I can help them to make Xiao Gen your wife…. I know you and Xiao You just got married because of our bet. I don’t want to hurt Xiao you but…….”
“But what pa?” Ximen starts to get furious.
“But I really want Xiao Gen for you. Xiao You’s good daughter-in-law but I really want Xiao Gen to be part of our family. We’ve been friends with them and I’m sure you two also loves each other….unlike Xiao You…..You don’t love her, right?”
“How can you say those things?” Ximen said
“This is for your own good Ximen. I’m really grateful to Xiao you that she already left you. I’ll not have any hard time convincing her to leave you.”
“Pa! Xiao You’s still my wife”
“Xiao Gen’s better for you. She came from a known family and we’ve known them for years already. She’s also your friend”
Ximen greeted his teeth and breath heavily “If you don’t have anything to say…..you may now leave” Ximen said and went to go inside the room and slammed the door.

Xiao You’s lawyer are now fixing the divorce papers. They oblige to what Xiao You told them and after Shan Cai and Xiao You finished talking with them Shan Cai told her that she wanted to treat her because it’s her birthday and she wants to celebrate it.
“Did you enjoy the food?” Shan Cai asks Xiao You. They already finished their food and are now strolling inside New York New York.
Xiao You rubs her tummy and laughed “I’m really full….I’ve never had this kind of lunch for a long time!” she beamed.
Shan Cai faintly smiled at her. She knows that her best friend’s just trying to be happy. She’s still hurt and it shows in her eyes even if she didn’t tell her.
“Xiao You, what do you want to do now? You want to go shopping? It’ll also be my treat!”
“Really?!” Xiao You smiled at her and then starts to pull Shan Cai “Let’s go!!”
Xiao You and Shan Cai are inside in a shop. Shan Cai saw this beautiful top and she wants to check it out. Xiao You was sitting on the bench when someone caught her eye.
The lady too looks at her. They both stared at each other.
“Ei! I’m already finished. Did you find anything that you want?” Shan Cai asks her but she didn’t look at her.
Shan Cai followed Xiao You’s gaze and then she saw a young lady looking back at Xiao You. “Who’s that? Why are you to staring at each other?” Shan Cai whispered in her ears.
Xiao You stands up and starts to walk towards that lady. Shan Cai was stunned and just look at Xiao You.
Xiao You stands in front of the lady, not taking her eyes off her. “So, I finally got to see you face to face” she said.
“You’re Xiao You, right?”
“Yes” she answered blandly.
“I’m Xiao Gen…..Ximen’s….” Xiao Gen introduced herself to Xiao You and extends her hand for a shake.
Xiao You looks at her hand and then back to her face “I know you’re Ximen’s lover…..no need to tell me that”
Xiao Gen drew her hand back because Xiao you didn’t took it. “I’m not Ximen’s-----” she tried to explain.
“Don’t worry, no need to make excuses. I’m setting Ximen free now so that you two can be together. I’m really glad that you came back Xiao Gen….. At least now I can breathe and live my life peacefully” she said and turned around.
“Shan Cai, lets go…..” She looks at her friend. Shan Cai didn’t expect to hear Xiao You say that. She went beside her and holds her arm.
“What is that?” Shan Cai asks her
Xiao You stops walking and turned her head towards Xiao Gen “Oh by the way ummm….Xiao Gen right? I want to thank you for taking Ximen out of my life. I’m really grateful” Xiao You bowed her head and pulled Shan Cai out of the store.

A month had already passed and Ximen still can’t talk to Xiao You. Whenever he’ll call her phone or call Ah Si’s house Shan Cai would always answer him and tell him that Xiao You doesn’t want to talk.
Ximen decided to take a week off from work so that he’ll have more time convincing Xiao You to talk to him but it was no use. Shan Cai told him not to go to the day care because he’ll only make a mess there and she’s sure that Xiao You’s not yet ready to confront him. His week was already over but he still can’t talk to her. His father told him that he should go back to the office because they have something important to discuss.
Ximen, his father and their secretaries are inside the conference room. His father called him because there’s an emergency.
They’ve been waiting inside the conference room for an hour already and Ximen’s going restless.
“I’ll leave now” Ximen stands up because he can’t wait any longer when the door suddenly opnes and it revealed Richard and his secretary.
“I’m sorry I’m late” he apologized and took a sit opposite of Ximen’s
“Mr. Crane, what is so important that you called for an emergency meeting?” Ximen’s father asks him.
Richard ask his secretary for his briefcase and he opened it as soon as his secretary handed it to him. “I want you to sign these” he told them and handed them the documents.
“What are theses?” Ximen and Ximen’s father was confused.
“I don’t want to merge with your company anymore…..there are so many big companies that are asking me to be their partner…..”
“What?” Ximen stands up and looks fiercely at Richard “You’re doing this in purpose aren’t you?”
Richard shook his head “There are so many opportunities that are waiting for me. I can’t just stay here with you. I want my company to grow”
“Don’t worry. I won’t ask for my share. I just want to get out of our partnership. That’s what I’m only asking from you….so? You’ll sign it?” he asks.
“Are you sure about this Mr. Crane?” Ximen’s father asks him.
“Yes……” he answered.
Mr. Ximen took out his pen and signed the documents then handed it back to Richard “It was really nice to merge with your company…..” he said and shakes his hand “Thank you”
Ximen can’t do anything now. His father already signed it so he has no right to complain. He signed the documents and handed it to Richard. “I’m glad that I’m not going to work with you anymore” He said.
“The feeling’s mutual” he grinned at him and Ximen immediately took his hand.
When Ximen’s father already left the room and Ximen and Richard are the only ones left. Ximen went to Richards’s side
“I know why you backed out from our partnership” Ximen eyed him.
“So, why are you still here? You already know the reason so why confront me?’ Richard replied.
“She’s still mine Richard…..don’t you dare touch her” Ximen warned him.
“Really?” Richard mocks him “Let’s just see about that” and then he left the room.
Ximen went back to his office and then he saw an envelope lying on his table then secretary Xu entered the room.
“Who send this?” Ximen took hold of the envelope and showed it to Xu.
“Someone delivered it president Ximen. I don’t know where it came from” he answered him.
“Okay…..I’ll just open this. You can now go back to your work” he said and secretary Xu left.
Ximen sits back at his chair and opens the envelope. He took the papers out and starts to read what is written on it.
His forehead starts to crease and he slammed the papers on the desk. He stands up and took his coat and his car keys and went out of the room.
“President Ximen, where are you going?” Xu tried to follow him but to no avail Ximen’s too fast that he wasn’t able to catch up on him.
