“Hi Ximen!” waved Lei
“Guys you know that it’s not the proper time to disturb me from my work” I irritatedly said
“Ximen you’ve been keeping yourself here in your office. Lets go out and have some fun” said Meizhou
“I have too many works today and besides you guys should go to your own offices”
“Ximen, it won’t affect your company if once in a while you’ll go out and have some fun”
“I just don’t like going out today” Ximen said feeling really bored.
“Please Ximen! Even Ah Si will join us. He’s just visiting Shan Cai and then he’ll follow us”
“Ok. I’ll just finish this last document and we’ll go” I told them as I return on signing the documents.

“What’s taking him so long?” Meizhou said irritated because Ah Si’s not yet there.
“I told you I shouldn’t have come here. He’s not coming. You know Shan Cai, if she found out that we’ll be here drinking she’ll not let Ah Si come”
“Ok….We’ll wait for you. Bye” Lei closed his phone and looked at us
“He said that he’ll be here in a minute. He just has to send Shan Cai home” he told us
“….and Xiao You” lei looked at me as if telling me why I didn’t send her home.
I looked away like someone had just attracted my attention. I know that Lei is sensing that there’s something wrong between me and Xiao You.
“I’ll just go there. Call me if Ah Si is here already” I said already standing up to get to the ladies that are staring at us.
Both Meizhou and Lei shook their heads. They thought that Ximen would change if he marries Xiao You but they where wrong. It’s been two months and they can’t see any change in Ximen. If their wives and especially Shan Cai found out about this they’re sure that Ximen would be torn into to pieces and be beaten really bad.
“Don’t you think we’re wrong on letting Xiao You marry Ximen?’ asked Meizhou
“I’m starting to doubt our plan”
“I’m sure that he’ll change but it’s not yet the right time for him. He needs time to absorb things and he’s still in the process on doing that”
“You really have high hopes for our friend Lei. I just hope that you’re right” Meizhou patted Lei.
“Guys I’m sorry that I’m late” Ah Si said as he slumped on one of the chairs
“It’s about time that you come Ah Si” Meizhou said
“Something came up! It’s about Xiao You”
“What happened to her? Is she alright?”
“She’s alright but there’s someone who’s trying to court her”
“WHAT?!” both Meizhou and Lei said in unison
“Someone sent her a bouquet of roses this afternoon”
“I can’t blame that guy. If I’m still single I’ll be courting Xiao You. I mean, just look at her. Only our friend there” pointing at Ximen who’s flirting with a girl “….cant see Xiao You’s beauty”
“They thought that the bouquet came from Ximen but when I saw the card. It’s not Ximen’s hand writting”
“What would we do now? If this guy continues to court Xiao You, She might leave Ximen and elope with that guy”
“We’ll not do anything” said Lei
“It’s time that Ximen realize that it’s a big mistake if ever he let Xiao You go”
“You’re right there Lei but their marriage would be in trouble” Ah Si told them
“Ah Si’s right, Lei we don’t want them to ruin their marriage”
“We’ll come into the picture if we’re needed. If still he won’t change his lifestyle of being a playboy, I’ll be the one to help Xiao You leave Ximen”
There’s a silence between the three of them. No one uttered a word for a moment.
“But Lei, you can’t do that!” Meizhou protested
“I can see that Xiao You’s not happy with her marriage. Have you seen her laugh and smile like before?”
Meizhou stopped talking. He too observed that she’s not the happy-go-lucky Xiao You now.
“We’re not going to tell this to our wives ok. Let nature takes its course and remember we’ll just help them if we’re already needed and if Ximen ask for our help” Lei told Meizhou and Ah Si.
