Chapter 3

Saturday it is.

“Yoona, you’re all right!” Jessica and her parents yelled out happily.
“What happened?” Jessica asked.
“Nothing.” She replied. “I’m fine.” She headed upstairs to her room.
“You and Donghae must have lied” Jessica’s mother yelled at her. “We’ll discuss this tomorrow”
Jessica thought to herself that she didn’t do anything wrong, and yet her mother always yells at her, like she loves Yoona more. She can’t believe her mother treats her niece better than her daughter. Jessica blames Yoona for stealing her parents away from her; she doesn’t like sharing them with anyone. Ever since the day that Yoona’s parents were killed by vampires, Jessica was forced share a room with her cousin Yoona.

Her mother followed Yoona’s footsteps and headed upstairs after a few minutes. As she got to Yoona’s Room, with a knock she let herself in. “Yoona, would you like something to eat?” she asks. “No thank you Aunt Jung, I had a big lunch at school today” she replied, and then continues to stare out of her window. After wishing Yoona goodnight, Aunt Jung headed back downstairs.

Yoona’s POV: I must have been dreaming. When I go back to sleep everything will be fine again. Although I do wish what happened today became true. This is only because if I can become an Enchanted Guardian, I would be able to avenge for my parents. The Poise agency is such a great organization, if I can be a part of them, it would be so great.

Donghae spots Yoona at school and came up to her.” What happened yesterday?” he asked. She stared at him, but couldn’t come up with a good excuse. “As long as you’re all right and won’t go crazy on us, I guess everything is fine then if you don’t tell me.” They both smiled. ‘RINGGGG!’ All the students hurried to their classes.

As the bell for lunch rings, Yoona headed towards her locker. After turning the knob on the combination lock , she then finds a note that was slipped into her locker.

The note Reads:
Dear Yoona,

After what happened yesterday, I came to realize that each and everyday is precious, and we shouldn’t waste time. Time is indeed very precious because we can’t go back, only forward. Therefore I’m hoping that you’d meet me by my locker because I really want to tell you something.

Sincerely Donghae.

Jessica notices that Yoona dropped the note so she picked it up, at first she wanted to call her and return it to her, but then she read the note anyways. Fascinated by what Donghae wanted to tell Yoona, she followed her.
As Yoona walked towards his locker, Donghae’s vibrant smile caused her to smile back and had her forget all the sad things.
“You wanted to talk to me?” she asked.
“I was wondering” he hesitated a little, but then had the confident to say, “Would you go out with me?” He asked. “I know this is so sudden, but I always thought we can be more than friends”
“I’m hungry, buy me lunch?” she said. Walking towards the lunch line.
Donghae mumbles to himself, “Does that mean yes or no?” Shrugging his shoulders he quickly he caught up with her.
Jessica after eavesdropping Donghae’s and Yoona’s conversation had a sad expression on her face.
“So where you planning to take me on our first date?” she then replied.
In shock, Donghae managed to reply “How about the mall?”
“Saturday it is then” she stated. “Come on, hurry, I’m hungry”
