After school, Donghae wanted to walk her home, but she insisted that it would be fine since she can walk with Jessica.
“Jessica, hold on, wait for me.” Yoona cries out as she runs towards her. It seems that Jessica has already gone home without her.
As she walks alone on the empty street, someone’s grabbing her right shoulder from behind her. About to scream for help, she realizes that whoever or whatever that was behind her has flown into the wall.
“Ouch, Yoona, you want to murder me?” Senior Lee cried out.
“Me?” she yells as she question herself. “I barely passed P.E. last year, how can I?” she ran over to him.
“Since Junsu is on his way to the Southern Poise Agency, I had no choice but to go to you myself,” he replied. “So how about it?” he asked her. “Do you know that we rarely go and recruit people? It is usually the people that come and ask to join us” he commented on.
“Then why me?” she asked.
“You’ll find out later on,” he answered. “So yes or no?”
“Yes” she says assuredly.
“All right, I’ll take you to go training at around 9PM” he says. “Don’t ask me anything... what you want to know... I’ll tell you later.

As Yoona got home and ate dinner, she didn’t see Jessica around. She knew something was wrong, and she was right because as soon as she got in the room, she noticed that Jessica was crying.
“What’s wrong?” Yoona asked worriedly.
Wiping her tears “Nothing!” she replied hastily.
“I was thinking, this Friday is your birthday. What do you like? I’ll try my best to give it to you” she ponders. “Hey Jessica, did you know your parents are planning a really big surprise for you?” she says.
“I wonder what they’ll give me this year.” She says happily. “By the way, Yoona”
“Yes?” she replied.
“Can you help me?” she asked flashing her eyelids, hoping that Yoona would agree. “I really like this guy—“
“Which one?” she said.
“I really like Lee Donghae” Jessica claims.
“Him?” Yoona became surprised. “How can I help you?” she asks her.
“Can you help me ask him out?” Jessica begged.
Yoona’s POV: So she likes him too. If only I had noticed earlier. I guess I can help her then. After all, Jessica deserves Donghae more than I do. Since I never actually told Donghae I’d be his girlfriend, I suppose they can go out instead. I've been recruited as an Enchanted Guardian Trainee anyhow. I doubt that I have time for anything.
Yoona nodded and agreed to Jessica’s request.

“All right, whatever you want to know, just ask, and I’ll answer it.” Says Senior Lee.
“What’s your name?” she quickly asks “Are you an Enchanted Guardian?”, I know that I’m supposed to call you Senior Lee, but I’m just curious?” Yoona asked.
“My full name is Lee Jun Ki, and no, I’m not an Enchanted Guardian. My priority is to keep an eye on you guys” he stated. “I am like your mentor”
“You guys?” Yoona is confused yet again.
“All right, I’ll tell you as much as possible right now, the rest, you should go home and read. I’ll be your trainer. As a trainee you are to learn how to protect people. You and some others will start training tomorrow. You first have to learn about the vampires. You must know about your enemy, for example, where they hide, what blood they like most, how they fight back.”
Yoona took out a notebook and a pen and began writing.
“What are you doing?” Senior Lee asked.
“Taking notes” Yoona said.
“There's no need. Everything that you need to know must be secretly kept in your mind. If you can't handle such things, you are unable to become an Enchanted Guardian of the Poise Agency” he replied.
“I got it,” she said as she put the notebook and pen away in her bag.
“After learning about the vampires, you are to gain strength and skills in order to fight. You must learn martial arts and weapon skills. Vampires have a greater strength and endurance more than people,” he continued.
“When will I be able to fight them?” Yoona interrupted.
“ All trainees will be given a quota they have to meet in order for them to be promoted. It is not easy to become and Enchanted Guardian. Your lives are on the line.” he replied yet again.
“The most important thing you have to keep in mind is that you must keep your identity a secret. If humans or other creatures can recognize you, you put yourself in danger 24/7. If you're scared now then you can back out, Yoona”
“I'm not afraid.” she said.
“Very well then, on weekdays, you are to train from midnight until four in the morning. Your entire weekends will be spent on training. It may seem as if you have no life other than preparing for your future as an Enchanted Guardian.” he continued.
“What about my family members, they will find out for sure.” she asked again.
“ There is a reason why we practice in the middle of the night.” he replied.

Author's Note: this chapter is slightly longer, just because I have a lot of explaining to do. Btw, this chapter it revealed that Senior Lee is Lee Junki, what do you guys think of him?

Molly- I totally understand what you mean. I feel the story is missing something too, just can't seem to figure out what it's missing. Hopefully I'll catch on later on.
