Chapter 9

Date with Donghae

“Are you crazy? I’m not going to kill my family,” she said.
“Listen, you’re one of us now, and we’re your family, you still think they’ll accept you as a part of their family?” He said. “So what is it going to be?”
“NO!” she said. “If you want fresh blood, I’ll find other people for you, but not my family.”
“Where can you get me fresh blood?” he asked.
“The mall, the town mall is full of people, there’s got to be hundreds of people, enough for you to host a party” She said.
“Are you stupid? Vampires can’t go out in the daylight.” He said.
“What do you want me to do then?” she cried.
“I can’t wait any longer, I need fresh blood,” he said, while dashing into her parent’s room.
Jessica ran as fast as she should, only to find two corpses lying on the bed.
“What have you done to them?” she asked.
“You kill the other one.” He commanded, while heading towards the girl’s bedroom.
“Where’s the girl?” he asked, frustrated by the fact that she disappeared.
Jessica remained silent as tears rolled down her paled face. Meanwhile, the masked vampire continued to look for Yoona, as if they were playing hide n’ seek.
Unable to find Yoona, the masked vampire took Jessica away.

“This is where you will be staying,” the masked vampire said, while he opened the large front doors, of what seemed to be a large vampire lair.
“Why did you turn me into a vampire? “ She asked. “You turned me into a freak”
“First of all, we are not freaks, maybe you are, but not us. Second, I wasn’t the one who turned you into a vampire. You were lucky enough to be bitten by the prince, if I was me, I would have killed you.” He replied.
“Prince?” she said.
“Consider yourself lucky, because when you are bitten by a Prince, like him, you would be able to withstand the daylight. The only thing capable of killing you is an Enchanted Guardian.” He said.
Jessica then remembers that she has a date with Donghae, so she tried to leave.
“Where do you think you’re going?” he asked.
“I’m hungry,” she said, lying to the masked vampire.

Jessica waited and waited for Donghae’s appearance. He finally showed up.
“Honestly Jessica, I’ve been thinking about this the whole night, and I just have to tell you frankly that I don’t like you anything more than a friend. You’re a great girl, it’s just I’ve already have someone else on my mind.” He said.
Suddenly, Jessica became angry. “Don’t tell me you still like Yoona? Why not me?” she cried out.
“I don’t have that special ‘feeling’ when I’m with you,” he said.
Donghae then decided to visit Yoona to tell her about his situation. Jessica returned to the vampire’s lair empty-handed.

As Donghae got to the Jung’s house, he saw a large crowd of people surrounding the area.
“Kill her, she must be a vampire,” someone shouted out loud.
“I’m not a vampire,” cried Yoona.
“If you’re not one of them, then you must be their accomplice, how can it be that Mr. and Mrs. Jung are killed, and that Jessica went missing, but you are standing here reply to us?” another one shouted back.
“I-,” Yoona wanted to explain, but she couldn’t.
“She’s not a vampire,” Donghae ran up to her and told the crowd. “What do you mean by Mr. and Mrs. Jung are killed, and Jessica can’t be missing, I just met up with her about 10 minutes ago.”
Everybody in the crow gasped, as they can’t seem to figure out what happened to the Jung Family.
“Well, lets put her in jail first, for the safety of the town,” a person from the crowd shouted.
The police had no choice but to put Yoona in handcuffs. Donghae tried to interfere, and was taken also.
“Fool, look what you got yourself into,” Yoona told Donghae on the way to the police vehicle.
“I believe you, that’s why.” He quickly replied.
