Everyone was gathered around backstage in the dressing and changing room. The room was crowded with people getting their hair and make-up done. Leila was running around with her clipboard checking to make sure everyone had the right clothes and didn’t have any problems. During this time Bosco was going over the plans and instructions with the sound system and lighting crew.
Leila was getting more nervous as the time came closer to the start of the show. “Has anyone seen Patrick and Melissa?” she asked.
“We have a big problem!” Ada exclaimed
“What is it?”
“Patrick just called and said that he and Melissa got in an accident on their way here from the hospital.”
Everyone in the dressing room gather around in a circle to hear about what had happen.
“Are they alright?” Myolie asked.
“Patrick said that he’s fine, just a few cuts, but Melissa hurt her head, so he’s staying with her. He says he’s really sorry that they wouldn’t be able to make it.”
“As long as they are fine, that’s all that matters.” Bowie said.
Leila began to panic, “Well who’s going to model their clothes?”
Right then Bosco came on joined the group, “What’s going on here? Why are you all standing around?”
“Patrick just called, he and Melissa were in an accident” Hawick explained
“How are they, was it serious?” Bosco asked.
“They’re fine, but they can’t come so we were trying to figure out who would model their sets of clothes.” Myolie said.
“Why don’t you and Bosco do it?” Hawick suggested. “You guys don’t have anything to model yet.”
“It’s alright for Bosco since he and Patrick are about him same height and all, but Melissa is definitely taller than me.” Leila said as she flipped through the papers on her clipboard. Running her finger up and down the list she made a decision, “Ada why don’t you do Melissa’s clothes. She only had two set of outfits plus the wedding gown.”
Ada nodded, “That’s fine, I can do that.”
“That’s great, I’ll show you which outfit you need to change into when.” Leila said as she and Ada headed to the racks of clothes.”

“Mr. Leung.” Bosco greeted with a handshake. “Thank you so much for being our MC for tonight.”
“It’s my pleasure, it’s great to do charity work.” He said, “And please don’t call me Mr. Leung” He said as he rubbed the back of his neck, “It’s too business like for me. Just call me Joey or Chung Chai.”
“Chung Gor is more like it. I wouldn’t dare to call you Chung Chai,”
“You just did.”
They began laughing.
“I really like your signature movement, the neck rubbing thing, it’s from the DIF series, right?”
Joey rubbed his neck again, “Oh you mean this, yeah I’ve gotten into the habit after filming that series.”
The two men chatted a bit more until Bosco had to go check up and everyone before the show started.

“Okay everyone 5 more minutes. Bowie, Ada, are you guys ready.”
They gave him the thumbs up signal.
The show started, Joey stood at the mic and began, “Welcome ladies and gentlemen and thank you for joining me her tonight. Don’t worry no bells here tonight, I’m not going to be dinging anyone away, instead I’ll be banging tonight” Joey pulled out a gavel and hit it a few times on the podium he was standing at. “I would like to acknowledge the sponsors for tonight’s show.” He named some famous fashion companies. “Tonight all of you are in luck because you are about to see a group of handsome male doctors, pretty female doctors, and cute nurses.” Joey said with a wink.
Bowie and Ada walked out and Joey began introducing them, “First up we have Dr. Bowie Lam and Dr. Ada Choi. Dr. Lam is sporting a designer suit…” he gave some more information on the suit and the guest began to auction.
Leila watched from backstage and smiled happily to herself she was glad to see the show running so smoothly. Then suddenly she heard someone crying out her name from the dressing room, “Leila, I have a problem!”
“Ada, what’s wrong? Why haven’t you changed into the wedding dress?” Leila asked
“That’s the problem. The wedding dress is too small for me?”
“What! Too small! What are we going to do?” Leila asked nervously. “We can’t find someone else now!”
“It’s too small for me but I bet it’ll be prefect for you.” Ada said as she eyed Leila from head to toe.
“Me?” Leila pointed to herself.
“Yeah, you better hurry and change” Ada said as she pushed Leila into the changing room and shoving the dress in her hands. Ada was beginning to get impatient “Speed it up la, Leila, we still have to do your make-up!”
Bosco changed and stood at one side of the stage waiting for Ada who was suppose to be at the other side. He stared at the opposite side, although it was dark he could see a figure wearing white standing there. On the signal they both walked out at the same time. As the person walked out, Bosco realized it wasn’t Ada, but instead Leila.
Bosco didn’t know how to describe it but she looked amazing, the sweet smile she wore on her face, he couldn’t help but smile himself.
They met in the center and Leila casually linked her arm around Bosco’s. He felt his heart start to race.
As they walked down the runway everything was going great until Leila accidentally stepped on her dress and almost slipped backwards completely. Luckily Bosco quickly put his arm around Leila’s waist and caught her.
The audience clapped thinking Bosco meant to tip Leila backwards. They finished the walk and the guest began to auction the wedding gown.

Raymond knocked on the door of one the changing rooms, “Myolie, are you ready?”
Myolie opened the door and stepped out. Raymond’s mouth almost dropped open.
Raymond stared at her without blinking his eyes. He was captivated by her beauty.
“Is there something wrong, Raymond?” Myolie asked as she looked down and all around herself checking to make sure everything was alright.” She looked back at Raymond who was still staring at her. She waved her hand in front of his face, “Wai, why are you staring at me like that?”
“I finally understand why people say women look the most beautiful on their wedding day.”
Myolie blushed, “But it’s not my wedding day.”
“Yet you still look gorgeous.” He said sweetly.
“Stop kidding, la.”
“No, I really mean it, you look absolutely wonderful” He said sincerly
“Aww…thanks, you look very charming yourself.”
“Shall we my bride?” Raymond placed out his hand.
Myolie placed her hand on top of his and interlocked them together and they began walking out together. The lights dimmed and sparkles were going off on both sides of the runway. They smiled happily as they made it to the front.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is our last item of the night. It is being modeled by Dr. Raymond Lam and Dr. Myolie Wu. It is designed by the famous Louisa So, of the Happily Ever After Bridal Company. It is a one of a kind, you won’t be able to find it anywhere else. The starting price of these items is $100, 000 HK and each call will be $10, 000 HK. Do I hear $100,000?”
People began raising their hands, “$1,000,000 going once, $1,000,000 going twice, sold for $1,000,000.”Joey banged his gavel. “That’s the end of the fashion show, dinner will be served shortly and the dance floor will be open as well for anyone interested.”
Once again thank you to all the sponsors and everyone here because you have made a great contribution. All the doctors came out and joined Myolie and Raymond. Everyone bowed headed backstage. They quickly changed out of the outfits and put them in the correct garment bag and had them labeled with the name of the recipient. Afterwards all the doctors who participated in the fashion show changed into their evening gowns and tuxes.
Raymond and Bosco had changed and gotten seated at the table reserved for them. Myolie came out and both Raymond and Bosco got up. Raymond pulled out the seat next to him for Myolie to sit. She was wearing a dark navy evening gown. Leila was the last one to come out. Her dress was similar to Myolie’s, only hers was a black satin dress that had a deep V cut in the back.
“Leila, Bosco, the fashion show was great!” Myolie complimented.
“You guys were great, but I almost tripped and made a fool of myself.” Leila said as she laughed at herself for being so clumsy.
“Still you looked really pretty in the wedding gown.”
“You did too, Myolie.”
“Wah, I can’t believe our final outfit would raise $1,000,000 HK.”
Bosco whispers, “They people here are all rich, they have the money to spend at charity events like these.”
Paul went to the microphone, “I would like to thank everyone here again, all the donators, sponsors, and hospital staff. You all have made tonight possible. I would like to make a special thank to Dr. Leila Tong and Dr. Bosco Wong. If it had not been for their wonderful planning we could not have such a successful event. It they would please stand.” They did and everyone clapped for them.

“Myolie, would you care to dance?”
“I’d love to.”
Raymond placed his hand around Myolie’s waist as she placed her hand on his shoulder. Suddenly Raymond remembered back to the time when he and Yee had attended on of their parent’s friend’s wedding and they had tried to dance. “Why do I always think of Yee when I’m with Myolie?” Raymond thought to himself. He shook the idea out of his head.
“Something wrong?” Myolie asked seeing Raymond shaking his head.
“No, I was just trying to remember how to dance, it been such a long time since I have.” Raymond lied.

“Wah, I can’t dance anymore, la.” Myolie shook her hand as she walked off the dance floor. “I’m going to get something to drink, you want anything?”
“Yeah, if you don’t mind.”
“I’ll be right back.”
After Myolie left a young woman and an old man approached Raymond
“Hi, my name is Sharon Chan.” She handed him a card.
“Marketing Executive for Happily Ever After Bridal Company.” Raymond read.
“This is my grandfather, Chow Chung, he’s the CEO and owner of the company.” Sharon introduced.
“Can I help you?” Raymond asked.
“My grandfather and I would like to invite you and your girlfriend to take some photos for our company. We would use them in ads and as window set-up.”
“My girlfriend?”
“Here’s you drink Raymond” Myolie handed him the wine glass.
“Thanks.”
“Are these you friends?” Myolie asked confusedly.
“No, this is Ms. Chan and her grandfather.”
“I’m Sharon Chan, the marketing executive for Happily Ever After” She introduced herself again.
“As I was telling Mr. Lam, we wanted to ask you two to model our new line of wedding gowns.”
“When you were saying girlfriend, you meant Myolie?”
“Oh, we’re not a couple.” Myolie explained.
The old man frowned and spoke up, “You’re not? By the way you were smiling and looking in each other’s eyes I was so sure you were a couple. I have never been wrong at looking at people. You may not be a couple now, but I can predict that you’ll be a couple sooner or later and you’ll live a happy life together.”
“I’m sorry, we really aren’t a couple, we’re just good friends.”
He shook his head “My dear, that’s how all couples start, either as good friends or as bickering enemies.” Chow Chung said, “Nevermind whether you are a couple or not, I think you two match very well and I hope you won’t turn down my offer.”
Myolie smile, “Do you think we really match?”
Sharon smiled and nodded, “I think so ah, so I hope you’ll consider our invitation and model for us. I think it’ll attract many people. And you don’t have to worry, we can work around your schedule and we’ll pay you.”
“It’s not about getting paid, but we’ll have to ask our yuen jurn first.” Myolie said but she slowly showed a smile, “I’m sure it’ll be alright with him though.”
Sharon also smile, “That’s great, you guys can come whenever, just give me a call before so I can have the studio set and a photographer booked. You guys don’t know how much this means to me, we have been through so many meetings and seen so many couples, but my grandfather didn’t like a single one. He said they weren’t convincing enough, but his first eye on you guys and he knew you were the one.”
Myolie and Raymond looked at each other and smile, they couldn’t believe that two doctors would become models for the largest bridal company in Hong Kong.
