Back again with another chapter...fast, huh...only because I already had part of it written I just had to finish it up. Enjoy!

Leila recalled Bosco mentioning his girlfriend’s name was Nancy and she’d left. It finally clicked to her that she had past away. Last time when Bosco said she would never come back she only thought he meant she had left to go somewhere else and not that she had died, “I didn’t know he’s had such a sad past.”

“We first met Nancy at the hospital…”

During the same time Myolie is telling Leila the story, Bosco is in his room reminiscing the time when he and Nancy met.

**Flashback**

“I told you to hurry up la, now we’re about to be late.” Myolie yelled at Bosco.

“Sorry.” Bosco followed Myolie as he tried to fix his tie.

Myolie spotted a nurse walking in their direction, “Excuse me, do you know where the yeun jurn’s office is?” Myolie asked nicely. The nurse looked up and gave them a sweet smile, at that time Bosco looked up and he was immediately captivated by her smile. She gave them some simple directions. Myolie thanked her and pulled the still smiling Bosco away in a hurry.

For the next few months Bosco only admired Nancy from a distance. He was too shy to talk to her.

There he was again, sitting at a canteen table staring at Nancy who was laughing with some of the other nurses.

Myolie patted his shoulder, “Wai!”

“Wah, you scared me.”

“What were staring at?” Myolie looked over at the direction Bosco was staring at earlier but only saw an empty table, “Hey, I signed us up to go volunteer at a village this weekend.”

“What, you didn’t even ask me first.”

“Well Nancy was asking around for volunteers so…”

“Wait Nancy asked?”

“Yeah…and it’s not like you have any plans anyways. We’re going to help do check-ups for some gong gong’s and por por’s.”

**End of Flashback**

“The village we went to?” Leila asked.

Myolie nodded, “Nancy’s grandmother lives there. Slowly it became a tradition for the three of us to go volunteer every weekend. Not too long after, Bosco and Nancy began dating. It just seems like good things don’t last. After Stephy’s death, Nancy spent a long time opening him up again and helping him stand up again, but…

Bosco opened the drawer of his desk and pulled out a red velvet box. Opening the box, it revealed a beautiful diamond ring.

**Flashback**

“Hey, I have something I want to ask you, can we have dinner together tonight?” Bosco asked over the phone.

“Sure, what do you want to eat?”

“I was thinking dinner at my place.”

“Mmmm…okay, only if you promise to make mango pudding for me.”

“I promise I will. I know it’s your favorite. So I’ll see you around 7?”

“I’ll see you then. Love you, bye.”

“Love you too, bye.”

After his phone call Bosco cleaned his apartment and headed to the supermarket. He pushed his car along and picked up a tray of meat and set it in his cart. Then his picked some vegetables, pushing his car pass the fruits, “Oh yeah, mangos.” Finally he pushed his cart down the isle and debated with himself, “Red wine or champagne?” He stood there for a few minutes and finally decided and went to pay.

Driving back to his apartment, Bosco picked up a bouquet of roses. Once he returned he began getting to work. Slipping the apron on, he began washed and cut the vegetables. He proceeds to work on the mango pudding. Placing in his refrigerator to chill, he looked at his watch “30 more minutes until Nancy gets here.”

Bosco quickly finishes cooking his meal and carried the two plates and set them on the table. He covered the dishes so they wouldn’t get cold. He set out a candleholder and place three pink candles in them.

He took of the apron and went to change into a nice suit. Spinning his tie rack he chose the navy tie Nancy had bought for him. Satisfied with his look Bosco checked everything again and took a seat on his couch waiting for Nancy.

Looking at his watch again, Bosco began to worry, “Where could she be? It doesn’t take that long to get here.” Picking up his phone he dialed Nancy’s number.

“Sorry, the caller you are looking for is currently unavailable. Please try again some other time.”

Right as he was about to redial his cell phone rang. Bosco reached into his pocket to pull it out, looking at the ID he answered it, “Hey Myo, what’s up? Oh hey, do you know if Nancy has left the hospital yet?”

“Bosco…” Myolie said in a shaky voice.

“What’s wrong Myo, why’s your voice like that?”

“Bosco…you…you better come down to the hospital…quick.” She said between sniffles.

“Why? What happened? What’s wrong?”

“Nan…Nancy was in an accident…she…she…”

Bosco pulled he phone away from his ear as his arm dropped down to the side.

He sped his car to the hospital, while praying that nothing would happen to Nancy. He ran down the hall towards the emergency room, “Nancy will be alright.” He kept repeating to himself.

As he got closer he could see Myolie pacing back and fourth, “Myo, how is she?”

“I don’t know…Bosco…they’ve been in there for awhile…”

“What happened?”

“Nancy left earlier because she said she wanted to go home and change before having dinner with you….but not long after she left, Hawick came to find me and tell me Nancy was just sent in because she was hit by a car.”

Bosco headed to the emergency room ready to push the door open.

“Bosco what are you doing?”

“I have to go in there.”

“Bosco you can’t. You’ll just get in their way and become a distraction.” Myolie pulled on his arm. Bosco pounded his fist against the wall. Myolie just didn’t know what to say or do, “Bosco, why don’t you sit down.” She pulls him to the seat. Bosco slumped his body into the seat and placed his face in his hands.

Finally the light went off. Hearing the door being pushed open Bosco leaped up from his seat. Seeing Bowie come out, Bosco could already sense the bad news, yet he didn’t want to believe it, “How is she, Bowie?”

“I’m sorry Bosco, we’ve tried our best. Go take a last look at her.” Bowie patted Bosco’s back.

Bosco immediately pushed through the doors. He pulled the white cloth down, “Nancy! Wake up, I have dinner made waiting for you…and your favorite…mango pudding for dessert. “ he cried, “You haven’t even heard what I was going to ask you yet…” He pulled out the ring.

Myolie who was standing behind Bosco couldn’t help but cry even more seeing Nancy dead, and Bosco like this.

“Look, I wanted to give this to you tonight…Nancy, wake uo, you still have to say yes to me. We still have to get married and have our family…” Bosco picked up Nancy’s hand and kissed it, “You can’t just leave me like this…” Tears feel from his eyes.

**End of flashback**

“What happened afterwards? I can imagine it must have been awful to lose Stephy and then Nancy.”

“You can say that again. He got himself drunk every night, then come into work the next day looking almost lifeless. It was so bad that yeun jung had to ask him to take a break until he was able to get himself back together. After some time he finally woke up and realized that Nancy would never be back and even though he’d lost both Stephy and Nancy, he still had friends and people that cared about him. Most importantly he understood that although he wasn’t able to save the loves of his life, he could save other people’s love ones. It hurts to think back to it now, and to think how lonely Bosco is, he’s never found anyone after Nancy, and he says that I’m silly…”

“I can’t belive he’s sp jurn yat and chung ching (meaning he only love’s one person for a really long time and hasn’t love anyone else.)

Myolie nodded, “Bosco’s a really great guy. I just hope one day he’ll be able to find someone he can truly love.”

“Cheer up Myo, I’m sure Stephy and Nancy wouldn’t want you and Bosco to be like this.”

“You remind me a lot of the both of them, especially Stephy…”

“He told me that too…” Leila said almost in a whisper.

Flipping through the photo album Leila came to the last page, “This picture looks really familiar, where have I seen it…”

Myolie notices it’s the picture of her and Fung. She got really nervous and excited at the same time, “Really? Where?”

Leila continued to think, “I can’t remember, I’m sorry Myolie, is it really important?”

“Yeah…”

“Well if I think of it I’ll be sure to tell you.”

“Thanks.” Myolie gave her a weak smile.

“Is the boy in the picture really special?”

Myolie nodded and smiled some more, “He promise he’d be back to look for me…he moved away when we were kids.”

“If you really want to find him why don’t you go look for him yourself?”

“I would but I don’t know where he lives, he moved with his family to Australia and at first our parents kept in contact, but at one point in time there was a fire at our house so we lost their contact information and afterwards we moved, so even if they tried to contact us we never knew…”

“Do you like him?”

Myolie didn’t answer, “It’s getting late, we better got o sleep. I start back at work tomorrow.”

“Okay, good night.”

Once back in her room Leila thought back at what Myolie told her about Bosco. She was smiling at herself now, just thinking about how she’d hated him the first time they met when he’d hit her car to see-sawing between her feelings of liking him one moment to feeling angry at him the next. But now she’s finally decided…
