Hey, I’m back with another chapter!!! Man, you won’t believe how long it took for me to decide who to use for Myolie’s parents. I was going to use her parents from Survivor Law, but then I wanted someone funny, so I was going to go with Hui Sui Hung and Law Goon Lan, but finally I was like Mary Hon! And I tried to think who would match up with her and TITS came to mind so I choose Sek Sau!!! Enough with my rambling, enjoy the chapter!

Leila sat on the couch next to Myolie, “Hey Myo, didn’t you say your parents come visit you every month? How come I haven’t seen them come by at all? I mean it is getting close to a year since I’ve moved in with you.”
“My parents are strange like that. They like to stop by unexpectedly. I wouldn’t worry about them too much I just spoke with them on the phone two days ago. They said something about it being really foggy where they were.”
Leila nodded, “mm…I see. Hey, is that your phone, Myolie?”
Myolie listened, “yeah, thanks.” Myolie ran to her room to answer it.
The doorbell rang, “I got it” Leila screamed as she got up from the couch to open the door.
When she opened the door she saw a couple standing there, “Did we get the wrong house?” Mary asked.
“I don’t think so, it’s 6A” Sau answered her.
Leila recognized them from the picture, “You guys must be Myolie’s parents. Hi, I’m Leila, Myolie’s roommate. Come on in Auntie, Uncle.”
“Oh, okay, thanks Leila.” Mary said as Leila help take the suitcase from her hand.
“Since when did Myolie get a new roommate?” Sau asked his wife.
“Who is it, Leila?” Myolie asked from her room.
“It’s your parents.”
Myolie dashed out from her room, “Mom! Dad!” She gave them each a hug.
“Myo, you look so much skinner.” Mary told her.
“I haven’t gotten skinner, mom.” Then changing the subject, “Oh, have you guys met Leila yet? She works at the same hospital as me.”
“Yes, we have, she seems very nice.”
“Let’s not all stand her. Mom, dad, have a seat.” They all migrated to the living room while Leila went into the kitchen and brought out two cups of tea.
“So how long are you guys planning to stay?” Myolie asked her parents.
:”We’re planning to stay longer this time, probably around a month.”
“Auntie, Uncle, Myolie told me that you guys like to travel.”
“Yes, yes, we just got back from London. It was very foggy there.” Sau said.
Right when he finished his sentence, the doorbell rang.
“I’ll get it,” Leila got up and opened the door, “Hey Bosco.”
“Hey,” He gave her a peck on the cheek as he came in.
“Auntie, Uncle!”
“Bosco!”
They exchanged hugs.
“I haven’t seen you guys in a really long time. Auntie, you look more beautiful. And Uncle, you look more ‘fit’” Bosco complimented.
Mary shook her finger at him, “Bosco, you sure know how to make a person happy.”
“No wonder you’ve found yourself such a beautiful girlfriend.” Sau teased causing Leila to blush.
“How long are you guys staying this time?” Bosco asked.
“We’re thinking around a month.”
“Where are you guys staying? You’re always welcome to stay at my place you know.”
“We were actually thinking about staying her at Myolie’s.”
Myolie almost spit out her tea, “HERE? But…”
“What wrong honey?” Mary asked.
“Are you hiding something from us?” Sau asked. “You’re not hiding a guy from us are you?”
“Uncle, how did you know? Myo is hiding a guy…”
“BOSCO!!!” Myolie glared at him. “Don’t listen to him”
Someone rang the doorbell again, this time Myolie went to open the door.
“Well you guys sure have a lot of company today?” Mary commented.
“Hey, do you have guests over? I could hear laughter from the elevator.” Raymond asked.
“Hey, yeah, I want to introduce you to two people?”
“Sure, who are they?”
“My parents.”
“Your parents! I’m not ready yet. I’ll come back some other time.”
“Who is it, Myo?” Sau asked.
Myolie pulled Raymond in, “Come on, they don’t bite.” She pushed him in front of her parents. “Mom, Dad, this is Raymond.”
“It’s nice to meet you Raymond.” Mary gave him a smile, “Are you one of Myolie’s new friends?”
“I’m…I’m…I’m her…”
“He’s my boyfriend.” Myolie finished for him as she wrapped her arm around his.
“Her boyfriend! That’s wonderful.” Mary said with joy.
Sau started to study Raymond from head to toe. Then he got up and walked around Raymond a few times, “So Raymond, what do you do?”
“I’m a neurologist.”
“Where did you go to school…when did you…”
“DADDY! Stop it!” Myolie whined.
“Honey, why don’t you have a seat.” Mary patted the seat next to her.
“Auntie, Uncle, Leila and I have to go, but how about I treat you two to dinner tomorrow or sometime later this week?”
“That sounds great. You two have fun now.”
“Do you want to have dinner with us tonight, Mom, Dad? Raymond made reservations at this new restaurant.”

“You two go, we still have to visit you aunt and cousins. We’ll have dinner tomorrow. We’ll see you later.” Mary gave Myolie a hug before leaving.
Raymond wiped the sweat from his forehead.
“Wah, I’ve never seen you so nervous. Usually you’re so calm and collect, even with strangers.”
“That was harder than doing a surgery.”
“Why?” Myolie scrunched up her eyebrows.
“We’ll I’m meeting your parents for the first time. I wanted to give them a good impression, but I wasn’t even ready today.”
Myolie giggled at him, “Don’t worry, I’m sure they liked you. My parents are really friendly and easy to get along with. Despite the fact that my dad was questioning you like a criminal…”
“What crime am I guilty of Madam?” Raymond joked.
“You’re guilty of courting his only daughter. He’s just jealous of you. He does it to everyone thought…I remember Bosco getting the interrogation…he was only 9 at the time…” Myolie giggled back at the thought.
“Wah, if I knew I’d have to go through this…I may to reconsider whether to chose you or not.” Raymond joked.
“Hey!” Myolie slapped his arm playfully.

“Hey Bosco, if my parents ask, don’t tell them that my heart problem is coming back. Okay?”
“Myo, you know it’s not right to hide the truth to them.”
“I know, I just don’t won’t them to worry. Please.”
Bosco reluctantly agreed, “Well I don’t really have much to tell them right now anyways, seeing that I still haven’t figured out the problem. But when I do, and if I find it necessary to tell them, I will, you understand me?”
“Fair enough.”
“And you didn’t come in for your check-up last week,”
“I’m sorry, I forgot, but my heart hasn’t been hurting and I haven’t been fainting. I think I’m alright now.”
“I’m the doctor, I’ll tell you when I think you’re okay.”

Myolie held Raymond’s hand as they entered the restaurant, “Why is your hand all sweaty?”
“I’m nervous…I still feel like I’m not ready.”
“I already gave you one night to prep yourself, and plus it’s just a casual dinner with my parents. Not like we’re meeting the queen or anything,”
“But your parents are just as important.”
Myolie smiled, “Just be yourself and they’ll love you.” She whispered to him as the approached the table.
“Hi mom, dad. Hey Bosco, Leila,”
“Auntie, Uncle, it’s nice to see you again.” Raymond greeted.
“Have a seat.” Mary instructed.
They had a casual conversation with Sau directing all sorts of questions to Raymond about his family, his background, his financial stance…and of course, Raymond was extremely nervous, but as they continued to talk Raymond began to relax.
Raymond took a sip of water from his glass, when Sau shot an unexpected question at him, “So Raymond what do you like about my daughter?”
“DADDY! That’s such an embarrassing question to ask! I’m sitting right here. You don’t have to answer him, Raymond.”
“What, I don’t think there’s anything embarrassing at all.”
“Well sir, I have to tell you, I don’t really have a reason why I love Myolie.”
“Ha?” Sau’s eyes widen in anger.
“No, no, I didn’t mean it that way. It’s just I can’t explain why I love her, I just do. I love Myolie because of who she is. Everything about her, her kindness, her caring, her personality.”
Sau nodded at the answer, “I agree, there isn’t a specific reason why you love a person. When you love them then you do.”
Myolie’s heart was totally melting because of Raymond’s sweet words, but then again she wanted to ask herself that question, ‘Why do I love Raymond?...’
The waitress brought out their food.
“You shouldn’t eat that.” Raymond advised Myolie. “I heard you coughing last night.”
“Just a small piece, pleaseeeeeeeeeee”
Raymond shook his head, You can have half of my chicken.”
Myolie nodded a smiled as Raymond place the chicken on her plate. Then she began to rub her hand on her arm. Raymond took his jacket and wrapped it around her.
“Myo, we’ve decide to fly to Canada in three day.”
“But I thought you guys were staying for the month.”
“That was before and we were worried you had no one to take care of you.”
“I can take care of myself.”
“Now that we’ve seen you have such a caring boyfriend we don’t have to worry anymore.”
“We wouldn’t want to be a light bulb in your way.” Sau grinned. “And your mother and I have decided that after our trip to Canada we’re going back to the States for awhile and then we’re coming to Hong Kong for a long stay.”
They finished their dinner and Raymond drove Myolie and he parents home. Myolie looked over and stared at Raymond as he was driving. Her parents had accepted Raymond pretty much as their future son-in-law. However, Myolie still couldn’t answer herself whether Raymond was the one….
