She picked up her phone and dialed Raymond’s number.
Looking at his the caller ID on his cell phone, Raymond answered it, “Hey Myo, I’ll be over to pick you up at 6,” he said in a cheery voice.
“Actually,” Myolie hesitated, “I can’t have dinner with you tonight.”
“Why? What’s wrong? Something happen?”
“Umm…I…uh…have to..umm..something…something came up at the hospital. I have to go check it out.”
“Oh…” was all that came out from Raymond’s mouth. It had a great amount of disappointment in it.
“I’m really sorry, Raymond.” Myolie apologized.
“Don’t be silly, there’s no reason to apologize. Works more important, I understand. Are you going over right now?”
“Yeah, I’m heading out in a few minutes.”
“Do you need me to come over and drive you there?”
“No, I can get there myself.”
“Okay, if you get done early call me, okay?”
“I will, and I’m really sorry. I promise I’ll make it up to you.”
Raymond originally had a big surprise planned for Myolie, but now…just then an idea came to his mind, “This will be even better,” he said to himself.

Bosco led Leila to the beach where she found a blanket and a basket laid out. After they sat down Bosco brought out a cake box.
“What the special occasion. It’s not my birthday… is it yours?”
Bosco shook his head.
“Then what is it?”
”It’s our one year anniversary.”
“But we’ve only been going out for a few months. How can it possibly be our one year anniversary?”
“We met on this day, exactly one year ago. Don’t you remember?”
“Of course I do la. You hit my car!”
“Wai, don’t blame me, it was partly you fault too.”
“Humph, I just remember I didn’t give you the bill for it.”
“Well I’m will to pay for it still. And to make up for it, I have a present for you.”
“What is it?” Leila asked excitedly.
Bosco handed her a box. Leila opened it and pulled out a crystal figurine of a two dolphins jumping out from waves.
“Wah, it’s so pretty. How did you know I liked it?”
“I…uh…saw you looking at it last time when we went shopping. You didn’t even blink your eyes when you were looking at it.”
Leila smiled and gave Bosco a sweet kiss, “thanks, you’re the best.”
Bosco felt somewhat bad hearing Leila say that. Although he knew she liked it that was only part of the reason why he bought it…

Raymond finished his surprise. He was quite satisfied with it. Looking at his watch, Raymond’s heart skipped a beat when he noticed the date on his watch. He couldn’t believe he’d forgotten about the date. It used to mean so much to him, but perhaps it wasn’t really important anymore. He debated with himself whether or not he should go. Finally he picked up his keys and started to drive to that special place.

Bosco and Leila took pictures together and played around on the beach.
“Catch me if you can” Leila challenged Bosco.
Bosco chased behind Leila and he finally tackled her down.
“I got you!”
They rolled around in the sand. Bosco was now on top of Leila, he pinned her down.
“Wai, what are you going to do?” Leila asked in a giggly voice.
“This,” Bosco said and he kissed her.
As he approached the top of the mountain he noticed a familiar figure, “Myolie?” Raymond said in barely a whisper.
Myolie turned around, “Raymond” she said surprisingly.
“What are you doing here?” They asked each other at the same time.
“I came to watch the sunset.” Myolie explained.
“I did too.” Raymond answered, “Did you finish early at the hospital? Why didn’t you call me to come with you?
“I…uh…wanted some time alone.”
“Did something happen at the hospital?” Raymond asked, “Was it one of your patients?”
Myolie shook her head and finally let out a smile, “No, nothing wrong at all.”
Raymond sat down next to Myolie and wrapped his arms around her waist. They sat and watched the sunset and stayed to enjoy the night sky together.
“The stars are so bright and pretty tonight.” Myolie commented as she cuddled her head into Raymond’s chest.
“It’s getting late, we should get going.” Raymond got up and offered his hand to help Myolie up. She didn’t move. “What’s wrong?”
Myolie frowned, “My leg’s asleep, I can’t move.”
Raymond grinned and squat down in front of her, “Hop on.”
Myolie smiled, “I can’t believe this is happening again.”

Leila and Bosco took off their shoes and started to walk hand in hand along the beach.
“It’s so pretty tonight.” Leila said as she looked up at the sky.
“But no matter how pretty it is, it’s still not as pretty as you.”
Leila let out a small giggle. As they continued to walk, Leila noticed a rock ahead of them. She pulled Bosco along and picked it up. Then she skipped it into the water.
Bosco froze, his heart ached, “Why must these memories come back? Why? Especially at a time like this?” He thought to himself.
“Bosco, are you okay? Is there something wrong?”
“Of course nothing’s wrong. How can anything go wrong when I have you by my side? Everything will only go right. Come on.” Bosco pulled Leila into the water. They started to splash each other and have fun.

Raymond drove Myolie home. When she opened the door her mouth dropped open. She was amazed by the sight in front of her.
“OMG!” she placed both her hands over her mouth.
“Do you like it?” Raymond asked with a smile.
Myolie nodded happily, “I do. It’s so pretty!”
Myolie’s entire apartment was covered in red roses. In her living room there were tons of vases each filled with dozen of roses set on top of the TV, her bookshelf, and the coffee table. Then she moved into the dining room and more roses were there. She caught a glimpsed of red in the kitchen and when she looked inside it too was covered with roses, from the counter to the top of the refrigerator.
“Wah, did you even put some in the bathroom.”
Raymond nodded and Myolie went to look. Then she looked in her room.
“Wah, there must be over 350 roses here.” Myolie estimated.
“Close, there’s 365 roses, one for each day of the year that we’ve known each other.”
“Awww, that’s so sweet.” Myolie walked closer to the roses to smell them. She noticed little thin sheets of paper tapped to the stem of each rose.
“Your smile makes me…You brighten my day…I love you…you mean the world to me…” Myolie read the messages written on each piece of paper. Each one was hand written and each one was different.
Myolie bit her lower lip to try to hold in her tears, but she couldn’t. She was too happy and was shedding tears of joy.
“Don’t cry, Myolie. I want to see you smile.”
She smiled and hugged him tightly, “Thank you so much.”
“You smile made this all worth it. Happy anniversary Myolie. I hope we can celebrate this day together every year.”

Yay, I finally got a chance to update! I originally wanted to update before the Fourth of July, but I didn't have time. Sorry it's taken me so long, I'll try to be sooner next time.
I know there's a lot of doubt between the couples, but nevertheless they had a good day!
I think I'll be finishing this story soon, probably less than 10 chapters left. I already have ideas for a few others stories. Hope you guys will support me then.
