“It’s okay, so what do you want for breakfast?” Myolie asked him
“I’m not really hungry.”
“You can’t not eat, you have to eat something. If not much at least eat a little, here have some of my eggs and biscuit.” Myolie said as she placed the food onto Bosco’s plate.
“You better eat” she glared at him, so he picked up his fork and took a bit of the eggs.
“Oh hey, what were you yelling about this morning?” Leila asked Bosco. “It was a name, I think…what was it…ummm…uh…..oh yeah, I remember now, it was Stephy.”
Myolie almost choked on her sip of water.
“Are you okay?” Raymond asked Myolie as her patted her back.
Instead of answering him, Myolie tried to look at Bosco in the eye, and asked him, “Are you okay?” in a concerned voice. Bosco’s look was emotionless. They sat there in silence for a short time.
“Uh, Myolie, you and Ray should get going, right Bosco?” Leila nudged him.
“Yeah, you guys go ahead and go on…. I’m going to go water ski too.” He managed to forced out a smile.
“You’re sure you’re alright?” Myolie asked again still really worried.
“Yes, I’m fine, I’ll see you guys at dinner.” He got up from his seat, “and be careful Myo.”
“I’m going to go too,” Leila excused herself, “Wai, wait up!” Leila called after Bosco.
“Shall we get going?” Raymond asked.
“Yeah,” Myolie answered, as she tried brush away her worries for Bosco.
They grabbed their gear and headed to the rock climbing site.
When they got there Raymond asked Myolie, “Rock climbing or repelling?”
“I like rock climbing, besides going back down is like repelling anyways.”
“I agree. Finally, someone who has the same thoughts as me.”
Myolie gave him a smile and began putting on her harness.
After checking to make sure everything was secure, Myolie and Raymond began climbing the mountain. About half way up, Myolie felt a slight pain; she clutched her right hand tightly around the rope from her harness and put her left hand over her chest. She gave it a slight squeeze while she closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. Raymond look and noticed Myolie had stopped. He repelled back down to her.
“Are you okay, Myolie?” Raymond asked concernedly.
She looked at him, “Yeah, I’m fine,” she assured with a smile.
“You’re positive?”
“Yes, stop being so long-winded la, come on I’ll race you to the top!” She brushed aside the previous pain she had felt earlier and began climbing.
“Wah, that was a great climb, I don’t remember the last time I’ve felt so good.”
“Yeah, but too bad I lost” Myolie joked.
“There’s always next time,”
“You bet, I’ll be ready for you next time.”
Myolie walk over carefully to the edge, she took a look down, and backed away quickly.
“Something wrong?” Raymond asked as he saw her expression was quite scared.
“No, it’s just...umm...I don’t know how to say it...mmm...this may sound silly, but I’m actually afraid of heights.”
Raymond looked at her weird.
“I know that’s totally crazy, huh? I mean I just climbed all the way up her and I wasn’t scared, but now that I’m actually standing here I feel so afraid.”
“Don’t worry wor, I won’t let you fall.”
Myolie gave him a smile, she felt safe hearing that from Raymond.
“You promise?” Myolie asked
Raymond grinned at how childish she was for making him promise some small like that, “I promise.”
“You pinky promise?” Myolie asked as she held out her pinky.
Raymond stared at Myolie’s finger, it made him think of Yee. He could picture Yee’s tiny pinky she held out that day for their pinky promise.
“Ray? You okay?” Myolie waved her hand in front of Raymond’s face.
Raymond snapped out of it, “Huh, oh yeah, I pinky promise. I can swear too if you need me to.”
“There’s no need for that. A pinky promise is the ultimate promise.” Myolie told him
“Really?” Raymond smiled. “Then I know for sure, she’ll be back one day. She made a pinky promise with me.”
“She’ll definitely be back if she pinky promised.” Myolie comforted him, “So do you mind telling me about her? She sounds really special.”
Raymond let out a chuckle, “Well I can’t tell you much, but she’s very sweet. She was always happy, almost nothing could upset her. She had that silliness to her.”
“She must be really fun to be around.”
“Yeah, she was, we shared a lot of adventures with each other.”

Bosco sat on the warm white sand of the each. He stared out at the sparking green ocean.
“Mind if I join you?” The voice asked
Bosco looked up to see Leila already sitting next to him.
“If I said yes would you leave?”
“No,” Leila simply answered.
“Didn’t think so, it’s okay you can stay.” Bosco stared out into the ocean again, “So what are you doing here anyways, I thought you couldn’t stand the sight of me.”
Leila shrugged her shoulders, “Thought I might come see what was wrong with you.”
Bosco didn’t answer her, instead he picked up a rock and ran towards the water. He threw the rock out and watched as it skipped a few time. He let out a sigh and felt the weight lifted off his shoulders. Then he started to walk away.
“Wai, where are you going now? Leila asked.
“Water skiing, it’d be a waste not to enjoy this pretty day. Do you want to come?”
“I suppose I could, I have nothing else to do and I do like to water ski.”

After enjoying their day outdoors, the four returned to their rooms to take showers and get ready for dinner. There was no entertainment show tonight; instead there would be a formal dinner cruise. The boat left the pier at exactly 7 o’clock shape so they didn’t want to be late.
Myolie came out of the bathroom in a sophisticated and dressy black skirt that came to her knees. She topped it off with a simple yet cute pink tank top. Leila wore a more casual mid-calf white spaghetti strap dress, but nevertheless she still looked stunning.
As they were about to head out the door, Myolie suddenly spoke out, “Oh Leila, why don’t you go first, I need to make a quick phone call.”
“You sure, I could wait for you.”
“No, you go ahead, I’m afraid the guys might be worried if they don’t see either of us soon.”
Leila nodded, “Okay, we’ll see you at the pier then.”
Myolie gave her a smile and Leila headed out the door. As soon as Myolie was sure Leila was gone she began to rummage through her suitcase. She kept praying to herself, “Please let it be in her.” She unzipped one of the compartments and found what she was looking for. She held the bottle in her hand while going to pour a glass of water.
Leila walked to the elevator and pressed the down arrow, as she was waiting for the lift to arrive she remembered she had forgotten her purse. She headed back to the room to get it. When she opened the door she saw Myolie taking some sort of medication, “Are you not feeling well Myolie?” she asked.
“Oh, it’s just a minor headache, nothing big.” Myolie lied as she stuffed the bottle into her purse. “Did you forget something?”
“Yeah, I left my purse,” Leila answered, “If you’re not feeling well maybe we shouldn’t go on the cruise, you should get some rest. I call and tell the guys to tell them.”
“No, no, I’m fine, let’s go, we’re supposed to have fun. I’m not going to let a small headache get into my way and ruin our trip. I promise I’m fine Leila. You’re about to turn into Bosco. Always nagging me”
“Alright,” Leila gave in.
“Okay, well we better hurry. They guys are probably waiting.”
“They’re guys, they’re supposed to wait.”
“True, but we also don’t want to miss the boat.”
“You’re right, we better hurry then.”
“I wonder where they are?” Bosco asked as he looked at his watch. “It’s not Myo to be late.”
“There they are, I see them coming” Raymond pointed to the two girls.
Myolie and Leila hurried towards them.
“Sorry we’re late,” Myolie apologized.
“It’s okay Myo, I know it’s wasn’t you fault.” Bosco said as looked at Leila.
“Hey, are you implying that it’s my fault then?”
“Bosco it wasn’t Leila’s fault, it was my fault, I was…” Myolie began to explain, but was cut off by Bosco.
“No need to cover for her, Myo.”
“But I’m not.”
“Myolie, you don’t have to explain to him for me.” She stomped on his foot and walked right pass him towards the boat. She couldn’t believe she had spent the afternoon water skiing with this guy.
“Um, yeah, we should get on the boat now,” Raymond said as seeing he didn’t know what he could say or do.
They were lead to a table, Ray pulled out a seat for Myolie, then he pulled out a seat for Leila, and he took a seat for himself, “You two ladies look nice tonight.”
Myolie smiled and thanked him, and they she tried to start a conversation, “So Bosco, how was your day?”
“Yeah, Leila, did you go scuba diving?” Raymond asked.
Neither of them answered. Raymond and Myolie stared between the two, they felt awkward without all the talking the two usually did. Even bickering from the two would be nice. Instead it was the silent treatment; they acted as if who ever spoke first would lose, and be the one who was wrong. Raymond and Myolie didn’t know what to do, so they just talked among themselves hoping one of the two would decide to join them.
After the boat began moving, the waiter began asking the guests, by tables, to get their food from the buffet. There was almost complete silence throughout dinner. When they finished Myolie suggested they go on the upper deck to enjoy the night view. Bosco and Leila didn’t want to go, but Myolie and Raymond pulled them out from their seats and pushed them up the steps.
Although it had been blazing hot in the afternoon, the evening was quite chilly with the night breeze. Myolie sneezed and Raymond offered his jacket to her.
“Thanks, hey do you want to go over there,” Myolie pointed to the front of the boat.
Raymond nodded and they left Bosco and Leila standing together.
Leila also let out a sneeze and she began rubbing her arms.
Bosco took off his jacket, “Here, wear this,” He mumbled.
Leila pushed it away.
Bosco wrapped the jacket around her shoulders, “Wear it before you catch a cold.” He ordered and walked away.
Leila watched him as he slipped his hands into his pockets and casually headed back down the stairs. She pulled the jacket closer to her and smiled. She hated to admit it, even though he seemed like a jerk most of the time he could be quite a gentleman.
