Nancy: Ron, I’ve been waiting for you for so long now. Where have you been? And who’s this girl?
Ron: First of all, I fired you three days ago and second of all why in the world are you waiting for me?
Nancy: I know why you fired me. It was because you liked me and didn’t want to admit it when I was still working for you. But now since you fired me we can start a relationship.
Ron: I think you misunderstood me when I fired you. You’re definitely NOT my cup of tea. This here is Leila my new personal assistant and girlfriend.
Leila was getting very annoyed with Ron saying that she is his girlfriend without asking her permission but this time Leila decided to play along.
Leila: Ron, honey, who’s this?
Ron: I forgot to tell you dear, this is Nancy my previous personal assistant. The one I fired.
Leila: Oh, Hi Nancy.
Ron: You see, she’s my girlfriend so why in the world would I want to start a relationship with you when there’s a gorgeous lady standing beside me. (He grabbed Leila’s hand and kissed her on the cheek)
Leila: I told you Ron, don’t kiss me in public; we can save that for later. (She winked at Ron)
Nancy: I see who you are now Ron Ng. You are a heartless man and a cruel boss. You played me like a fool.
Ron: I told you from the beginning, I’m not interested in you. But you continued to develop feelings for me so it’s not my fault.
Nancy: Fine! I’ll leave you two “love birds” alone.
She walked away in tears. As soon as she left, Ron let go of Leila’s hand.
Leila: I disserve a raise. Not only am I a great personal assistant but I’m a great actor too.
Ron: Thanks. You helped me out twice today. That raise you want, you got it.
Leila smiled happily because this was her first job, and within a day she already got a raise, by this rate she’ll be RICH!!!
Leila started laughing.
Ron: What’s so funny?
Leila: Nothing.
They entered the building into the elevator and up to Ron’s office.
~Inside Ron’s Office~
Leila: Should I call you Mr. Ng now since we’re inside the office?
Ron smiled and said: No need, I prefer you calling me Ron anyways. The only people in this building who has the right to call me Ron are you, Tavia and my sister.
Leila felt very special being the few that can call him Ron.
Leila: Why only us three?
Ron: Well, my sister because she’s family. Tavia, because she is my best friend and you because I like you.
Leila: What?
Ron: I mean I like your personality and the way you are. I have to say, it’s been a long time since I met someone like you. You’re very straightforward and perky. I really like that.
He smiles at her, this time when she saw his smile; she felt something different than the other times. Yes his smile was nice and welcoming, but this time she was attracted to it. It was like a power he had over her; whenever he smiles she had an urge to smile back.
Leila: So, where will I be sitting?
Ron: Pick a seat any seat that’s in this office, and it’s yours.
Leila: How bout your seat?
Ron: Funny, but no. My sister said that the only people who can sit in this seat are Me and Her and unless I get married and have kids then that’s another story.
Leila: Ok then, how bout over there (pointing to an empty desk)
Ron: Sure, but if you really want to sit in my seat then we would need to get married. (He winked at her)
Leila felt her face starting to turn red again so she turned around to avoid facing him. Ron started laughing.
Ron: It was a joke. Anyways, how would you like to play my girlfriend from now on?
Leila: What?
Ron: Like if we ever go somewhere together you know. You can pretend to be my girlfriend. Then those other people wouldn’t bother me.
Leila: What’s in it for me?
