He took off his seatbelt in midair once the stewardess of the plane allowed it so. A few of them were walking back and forth the plane, offering snacks to the passenger and once it was his turn to be asked, he just nodded in disapproval because he didn’t have the appetite so.
He took out a pair of ear buds, stuck it on his ears and a blindfold-looking kind of thing and placed it on top of his eyes. With that, he slept.

The same days flew and passed by without him by her side. She once in a while yearned for him, hugging the pillows he used onto her chest and crying her heart out. He hasn’t even left for a week, yet she felt like it was eternity already. Everything she does just keeps reminding her of him, that’s why.
Exactly December 8 at about 9:21 AM, early in the morning, she received his call. She jumped off from bed immediately, her hair in a mess as she answered the call.
“Baby,” The first thing that sent a smile creeping up to her face as she heard his deep and stern voice calling out for her.
“Chun!” She chimed and cried at the same time, “I miss you already.”
“I know,” He heaved out a deep sigh and looked at the clock that read approximately 5:00 PM. “It’s 5 PM in here, still December 7. I’m really tired, just got off the last plane board and immediately rushed to the hotel.” He paused. “I miss you too, I missed your voice that keeps bugging me every minute.”
“You’re so hateful!” She exclaimed, but deep inside, she loved how he teased her.
“I’m just joking,” He chuckled. “By the way, I just called you to inform that I’m safe and sound in here.”
“That’s all?” She pretended to sound mad, expecting for more.
“Take care of yourself, yeah?” He ignored her question, but nonetheless insured himself with her safety. “I love you.”
“I love you too,” She smiled. “You can hang up now. Rest well. You know that overseas calls are expensive.”
“As long as I hear your voice every other day, I won’t mind.” He reiterated. “But do call me for current news, okay? Or I’ll call you?”
“Doesn’t matter,” She scratched her eyes. “Sleep well.”
“Bye, love.” He bid farewell and then hang up.
