Chapter 2

Bad Boy

POV

"I heard he's a student exchanged from Korea," I revealed what I knew about this guy Tav had feelings for.

"Cool, Korea.." she trailed off, still staring at his back.

"Geez..are you that obsess already?" I asked.

No reply. I rolled my eyes as I pulled Tavia towards the canteen, the same direction as this Korea-guy is heading.

I plopped myself down at a clean table while Tav went in search for good food. I retrieve the forms Mrs Kwok gave earlier about community service during the weekends.

Tavia came back and shook her head.

"Food's gone," she told me.

I return my gaze back at the paper.

"What's that?" Tav asked as she peered over my shoulders.

"Community service, didn't you get it?" I asked her.

"I did, but I couldn't get myself out of the house during weekends," she replied.

"Oh yeah, family day."

I scribbled my particulars and stuffed the form into my pockets as I got up from my seat.

"You're going?" Tav asked.

"Why not? I could meet more friends. And well, good deeds are meant to be done," I told her

"God bless you then."

Classes started again but with another surprise in store.

"A new student is going to join us for the rest of the term," Mrs Kwok said.

The EXACT same guy in pink entered the class. Korea-guy.

Whispers erupted the silence.

"Why do you think he's here?" I asked my neighbour, knowing his former class was three doors down the hall.

"Heard he was a bad boy," the girl next to me revealed.

Wow. Gossip.

A whole new impression of this guy started to build up in my mind. I eyed his appearance as he walked quietly to the back of the class and sat down at an abandoned table, all alone.

Then again, another flashback filled my mind.

~Flashback~

I sat alone by the pond. I had no friends. Maybe some, but they were all bitches.

I stared into the clear waters of the pond and stained my face with tears. I'm a lonely soul.

I sobbed quietly, erupting the quietness of my surroundings. And so I was unaware of who was appraoching my shivering back.

"Don't cry," a boy told me.

"No friends," I simply answered.

"Let me be your friend," he offered.

I smiled lightly up at him and since then, we were friends. Close friends.

~End of flashback~

"He's gone," I mumbled to myself, telling myself for the thousandth time that he wasn't going to appear in my life again.
