-------------------------------------
“What am I suppose to say to him? How am I supposed to tell him that I love him?” Michelle began to think to herself, when the car suddenly stopped.
“We’re here, do you want to go get the flower or should I?” Ji Yong asked with a hint of irritation in his voice.
“I’ll go get it.” Michelle immediately stated as she got of the car. “I guess he really doesn’t like me anymore.” Michelle sighed to herself as she continued to walk to where the flowers were. As she walked to the flowers memories of her past rushed back and before she knew it silent tears slowly started to escape from her eyes. She quickly picked a flower and wiped her eyes immediately. She then rushed back to the car because she no longer wanted to be in that garden. “I got it.” Michelle stated as she sat down in the car. She didn’t even make any eye contact with Ji Yong.
“Are you okay?” Ji Yong asked, but he seemed to be asking just to ask. It didn’t seem like he cared much about her response.
“Yeah.”
“Okay, if you say so.” He continued to say and Michelle nodded her head. She didn’t know how she was supposed to respond to that. “What am I supposed to say, oh I’m not okay because I am still in love with you and that is why I am crying?” She thought to herself.
“So, what’s next?” Ji Yong asked.
“Huh?”
“What’s the next task?” Ji Yong repeated himself and he seemed to be even more annoyed than he was before.
“Umm, it says take a picture of a taxi.” Michelle read out loud.
“Okay.” Then Ji Yong began to drive around in search for a taxi, and that is how things went for the next couple of hours. Michelle would read what they have to do and Ji Yong would drive them. Half way through the stuff Ji Yong began to go out with Michelle to look for the items because they had to start taking pictures with things. But as they continued to complete each task on the list Michelle started to remember more and more of their passed relationship, and as they continued to finish more and more task Michelle’s tears continuously threaten to fall from her eyes. “I guess I should just give up trying to confess my feelings for him since he doesn’t even like me. It seems more like he is annoyed by me and besides, he has that girl.” Michelle thought to herself as she sat in the passenger side of the car. It also seemed that as they continued to finish each task Ji Yong became more and more annoyed. “I guess I should just stop trying to confess my feelings for her, I need to stop being selfish. I already had my chance and I let it slip by.” Michelle continued to think about these things to herself. It was midnight already and they were at the top of a cliff. “What are we suppose to do here?” Ji Yong asked.
“We’re supposed to take a picture of us with the city lights in the back ground.” Michelle responded.
“Okay, here I’ll take the picture of you. So stand right there.” Michelle did as she was told and Ji Yong took the picture of her. Once he finished taking the picture of her, she turned around and looked at the city lights. “I guess, this is goodbye forever.” As she said this she reached into her pocket to grab the coupe’s ring she had on earlier that day, but she couldn’t find it. “Oh my goodness where is the ring?” She said as she began to panic. She took out her cell phone and began to use the light to look for her ring. “Where is it?” She was now on the ground looking frantically.
“What are you doing?” Ji Yong asked.
“I lost something.” Michelle replied without even looking up at Ji Yong.
“Is it important?”
“Yes.” She said as she looked up at him with tears coming down her face.
“Here, I’ll help you look for it.” Ji Yong then got down on the grass and began to look for the ring too. After about fifteen minutes Ji Yong spoke up. “Are you sure it’s here?”
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure it fell out here.” They continued to look for about an hour and Michelle finally decided to give up. “You can stop looking for it now.” Michelle stated. “I lost it, it’s no use.” She continued to say as she wiped away the tears off her face.
“I thought you said it was important.”
“Yeah, but it’s no use I lost it.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah.” Michelle then walked back to the car. On the way back to the car Ji Yong saw something glistening on the ground. He then walked towards it and then picked it up. It was a ring.
“I found it!” he shouted at Michelle.
“Really!?” She exclaimed out of happiness. She then rushed over to him but she wasn’t quick enough. By the time Michelle reached Ji Yong he had realized what ring it was. Once she got there she took it from his hand quickly.
“Isn’t that our couple’s ring?” Ji Yong asked a little suspicious.
“Yeah.” Michelle replied back in a low voice.
“Why do you have it with you?” Ji Yong asked hesitantly, unsure if he should be asking her this.
“Well, honestly it’s because I still love you.”
“What?”
“Well I guess it’s now or never.” She whispered to herself.
“What?”
“Yes it is and the reason why is because I am still in love with you and that is why I came back. I wanted to tell you that I love you and I want to be with you and if you would give me a second chance, but when I went to the school I overheard your conversation with that girl and decided not to. It didn’t have the right to take your happiness away, and besides I already had my chance. I know it’s too late and I was just about to throw that ring away because I no longer wanted to feel this way. I didn’t want to be reminded of what could have been, so you don’t have to worry, but I guess I wasn’t ready to throw it away since I was freaking out.” Michelle forced a fake smile onto her face and then she continued on to say. “I’m going to leave soon and you won’t ever have to see me or worry about me again.” She then clinched the ring tight in her hand in hopes to stop herself from crying but that did not help at all. “Let’s go back to the house; we’re done with this scavenger hunt.” Michelle said as she walked towards the car.
“Wait.” Ji Yong stated as he grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him. “You didn’t even ask me about how I feel? Why do you always neglect my feelings?” Ji Yong said with a smile on his face as he wiped her tears away. He then slowly leaned in and kissed her, and after a couple of minutes he pulled away. “I love you.” He whispered into her ear.
“I love you too.” Michelle exclaimed as she jumped into his arms.
“Will you wear this ring again?” Ji Yong asked as he took the ring from Michelle and placed it on her finger.
“Yes.” She stated as she kissed him again.
“I missed you so much.”
“I missed you too.”
And on that night Michelle and Ji Yong got back together. The tears they once shed because of their miscommunication had now disappeared and became a part of the past.
